Our tour guide was attuned to the interests/needs of our group. He shared thoughtful insights and had detailed answers to all questions. We were very pleased with the experience.

After walking around several other towns without a guide, we are so glad that we took this tour. Alessandra shared a wealth of information about the cultural, artistic and religious history of Assisi, along with insights about the life and impact of St. Francis. Alessandra is very personable and it was easy to ask questions given the small size of our group. Highly recommend!

This was an outstanding tour. September 14. Our guide, a former teacher, delighted in telling our group the history of Assisi, from Roman times to present. She knew all the dates and facts, including the stories depicted in paintings. We highly recommend

Barbara's intimate knowledge of St Francis, of Assisi and of the Basilica were exceptional. Her passion for not only leading, but her teaching made this one of the most remarkable tours.

Our guide Alessandra was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic throughout our 3 hour tour. History certainly provides much context for the present day. Seems that the dress code was not being fully enforced, probably due to temperature, but do be respectful about noise, photography, etc. €3 needed for audio equipment for Basilica. Small group is certainly an advantage due to gradients etc and not having to wait for straddlers.

As examples of early art they are incredible Sadly St Frances gets very much taken over by your groups with guides giving running commentary via audio mikes - spoils the ambience

We had an excellent tour with Michelle! The tour entered the Church of Saint Claire, San Rufino, and both floors of Saint Francis. For St Francis we needed to pay an extra €3 for audio tour headsets, bring cash. We learned a lot and enjoyed Michelle's great attitude and good advice, he also spoke excellent English. For people with mobility challenges, the tour moves steadily downhill and does include some stairs.

Awesome sights, but we aren't Catholic so we could have spend a little less time with St. Francis. Don't know why the review has to have 100 characters.

We did this tour with a local expert as part of an Insight Vacations 'Country Roads of Italy' tour. You are not allowed to take photos inside - yet other visitors were doing so, were noisy and it was not 'patrolled'. This took away a little of the enjoyment, as our guide was very frustrated with the lack of respect of some visitors.

Very happy with my experience with Umbria Con Me and one of their tour guides, Francesca.. We did 3 tours with her.. So very thoughtful to have the same person with us on each tour with my group of 7 ladies. Assisi was our last tour.. We started at the south end of town and ended at the basilica of St Francis. A lot to cover in 2.5 hours.. Francesca was a great fit for us and we appreciated her flexibility in leaving our group time to do some shopping.. our other tours with Francesca were Spello & Bevagna.. I will book again with Umbria Con Me; their pricing is very fair and they communicated promptly throughout our booking process.

We had a great guide who answered all our questions and she was very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend the tour guide we had. I really liked that we were in a small group of just 14 people.

My husband and I travelled to Italy with a large group. We booked this as a private tour and were so glad we did. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided so many details that I wanted to record everything because she knew so much about the history of the Basilica's that it was hard to soak it all in. I wish I could remember her name to give her credit! Highly recommend!

We had a very informative 2 hour walking tour of Spoleto with Francesca. She was very knowledgeable about the town, history and art. We discovered many things we would have missed on our own and it was a great way to start our 6 day trip to Spoleto.

A very walkable city with enough to see ,but, not the pressure of trying to see too much . The moving walkways are amazing and so sensible.

He shared stories on St. Francis and St. Claire. It was a memorable experience. Assisi is charming! Plus, Michele shared his suggestions on visiting Perugia such as where to park and what to see.
