He gave us recommendations for food to try at each stop. We had enough time to explore each place, with longer at the last place and he made a lunch reservation for those that wanted it. The group was in the capable hands of Luigi, who was a great guide, organising the group on and off the ferries and pointing out the best gelateria and eateries in each village! He really looked after us. Fortunately, on the day of our tour, the weather was good and so we were able to use the ferries. Seeing the villages from the sea was amazing - such a treat. The villages themselves were absolutely lovely. The whole day was a wonderful experience. I’ll remember it forever.Written 8 October 2024

The scenery and towns were amazing. Massimo was a wonderful guide who provided just the right amount of information about the region. I'm looking forward to another trip to Tuscany. Massimo also took us by "The Theater of Silence" once he learned that we were fans of Andrea Bocelli. Overflowing with knowledge and enthusiasm, the hour's drive to the sublime vineyard in the Chianti region flew by. What followed was an indepth, fascinating tour that included a generous wine tasting and a visit to the winery and vineyards. Stunning scenery, well organised and great value. - noelp7310 contributionsCHIANTI TOURThe Tour of Siena, San Giminiano and Chianti was really nice. Massimo the driver was great and provided a lot of information. However, I would like to suggest that when taking people to the Chianti tour, the hosts prepare a better platter than just a piece bread & a piece of cheese. Paying €25 per person for four sips of wine is no value for money. But a platter with some, prosciutto, salami, grissini and different types of cheeses would compliment the wine tasting.Written 20 September 2024

Our extremely knowledgeable tour guide had perfect English and had us enthralled the entire time, whether he was sharing the history of Pisa or giving us tips on where to get the best gelato. We went with our teen son and college age daughter and son and just had an amazing time. The car was also very nice.Written 6 September 2024

Towns are spectacular , views over the Tuscan hills fantastic. From the start we experienced excellent service from Bella Italia. Diana answered promptly and as I was setting up a private tour for 8 she organised all the payment links easily. At last minute there was a port change due to weather, and Bella Italia had already organised to pick us up in La Spezia and sent an email confirming same.
Luigi, our guide, was amazing. If you can get him definitely ask for him. As I am not a great walker I was concerned with how I’d go in Cinque Terra,. When we arrived at first village we walked down to it and from there we caught the train between villages so not much up hill walking. Luigi stayed with us the whole trip, full of helpful info, even sharing some assistance with friends of ours from the ship who weren’t on our tour. We could not do the ferry boat due to end of season. The trip ended with a train back to La Spezia and then minivan back to port. Easily back to ship on time.
We met others on their tours and some said their guide dropped them off but didn’t stay with them in each village. Luigi was a definite advantage being with us the whole time

My family of four including two teenagers did the private shore excursion to Cinque Terre from Livorno. We originally tried to save money by doing the small group tour but nobody else signed up so we opted to make it a private tour instead. I was hesitant because of the cost and because we knew that the Cinque Terre region is so overcrowded these days but my husband and I really wanted to see Vernazza again after first visiting over 20 years ago. We really had an amazing day thanks to our terrific driver and guide. They really listened to our ideas and customized our stops accordingly. We had plenty of time in the villages and our guide always made sure we did not miss the ferries. We are so glad we spent the day with Bella Italia and in the end we were probably better off with the private tour so that we didn’t have to compromise on the itinerary.

This was a private family tour (kids aged 13 and 8). It was expensive, but it was totally worth it. Simona was our driver, and Laura was our tour guide. Both were fabulous. Simona gave us a lot of info on our long drive there, and she gave us time to rest on the long drive back. We paid extra to have a tour leader, and it was great to have more info and directions on what to do in the different cities. We also wanted the classic Pisa pictures, so Simona gave us suggestions on where to take the photos. We paid a lot for this to be private, which was also great to personalize it for our family's needs. Highly recommend this tour company!

We chose to do a shore excursion from Livorno Port to Cinque Terre with BellaItaliaTour. Our driver Stefano was wonderful; he was very friendly, welcoming, and did a fantastic job showing us around on the drive from the port to the Cinque Terre as well as teaching us about Italy and Italian culture. He also gave us a free, comprehensive city driving tour of Livorno just before we headed back to the port, even though this was not included in our original itinerary. Thank you so much, Stefano!

We had a full day private tour to Cinque Terre and Pisa during our cruise ship's stop in Livorno. Our tour guide Luigi and driver Alonso were both terrific. The tour was definitely a long and full day with a lot of sights packed in. We didn't get quite as much free time as we might have hoped as we had to move through the villages quickly to catch the ferries and continue onwards. Our guide did a great job trying to make the best of a packed day though, making sure we had enough time for our kids to get a little bit of beach time in before we left the coast and headed to Pisa. I would definitely recommend the tour overall to anyone trying to see as much as possible during a stop at Livorno port.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!!! Our guide LUIGI, was very informative, knowledgeable and engaging. He gave us different options before starting out which helped our time frame of what we were going to do. Because we traveled by a cruise line the time spent in each a town was important. He even called ahead to a restaurant to get a reservation for the 6 of us.

Petra was our private guide, and Alessandro was our expert driver for this full day tour. An excellent trip to beautiful Cinque Terre, where we traversed the villages on foot and by ferry. A running commentary on the way to and during the tour was provided in a comprehensive fashion by Petra. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at a restaurant overlooking the sea in the village of Monterossa. Then on to Pisa to see the Leaning Tower. So impressive to see it in person. Once again, Petra guided us around the grounds in an expert fashion. Thank you, Petra and Alessandro for a wonderful day. I highly recommend this tour.

We just returned home from our 2 week vacation. I just wanted to say what a wonderful time we had with Luigi on our private tour of Cinque Terre from Livorno! Our party of 12 had and amazing time. I will recommend over and over again to our friends and family. Thank you for our memorable experience! We were able to explore three towns and a quick visit to Pisa. We came in on the Norwegian Viva at 6 and make sure you start early we booked for 715am . The minibus was new and very comfortable. You won’t want to miss out on this tour!

We were on a cruise and booked a private tour of Cinque Terre and Pisa. Our tour guide, Luigi, was awesome! Our kids still think he was the best out of all the tour guides we had.
He and our driver Leo met us at Livorno port where our cruise docked. There was some construction on the way to CT, but Leo found an alternate route and we barely lost any time in getting there. We were still only able to visit 3 out of the 5 villages, but Luigi guided us to the best spots for food and pictures, as well as entertaining us with the history/culture.
Unfortunately, when we got to Pisa, it was raining really hard and we did not stay long. But we still got some great pics!

Cinque Terre is one of the most beautiful areas that we have been in Italy and this was our second time there. Our Private tour was led by Luigi who was just he perfect tour guide. We had very specific requests and he fulfilled every one of them. Luigi was fun, entertaining, knowledgeable and very, very considerate about all of our needs. He arranged the entire day including securing all of the train and water taxi tickets so all we had to do was enjoy. Luigi also arranged lunch for us at a perfect seaside restaurant in Vernazza where everything about the lunch was just outstanding. We will definitely look for Luigi again on our next trip to Italy.
