The Uffizi Gallery is a prominent art museum located adjacent to the Piazza della Signoria in the Historic Centre of Florence in the region of Tuscany, Italy. After the ruling house of Medici died out, their art collections were gifted to the city of Florence under the famous Patto di famiglia negotiated by Anna Maria Luisa, the last Medici heiress. The Uffizi is one of the first modern museums. The gallery had been open to visitors by request since the sixteenth century, and in 1765 it was officially opened to the public, formally becoming a museum in 1865. Today, the Uffizi is one of the most popular tourist attractions of Florence and one of the most visited art museums in the world. The building of Uffizi complex was begun by Giorgio Vasari in 1560 for Cosimo I de' Medici so as to accommodate the offices of the Florentine magistrates, hence the name uffizi, "offices". The construction was later continued by Alfonso Parigi and Bernardo Buontalenti; it was completed in 1581.

      Excellent Experience
Our guide did an outstanding job throughout the tour. He skillfully guided us through the crowds and provided detailed explanations of everything we saw. Each area was incredibly beautiful. We especially admired the hallways the Pope used, adorned with fascinating artwork on the walls. St. Peter’s Basilica was truly magnificent, and seeing Bernini’s canopy in person was an unforgettable experience. Although the tour was quite long, our guide kept everyone engaged and interested the entire time.

      Lovely cathedral and rooftops
It’s a lovely looking cathedral, it was our shelter from the sun heat as it was cool inside and peaceful too. We bought a ticket to the rooftops, but unfortunately a person fainted at the rooftop, so we couldn’t move for a long time and couldn’t see the views but some parts of the rooftop that we saw were beautiful.

This tour was very informative and we got to see a lot of the colosseum because of the skip the line. The other lines were huge. Our guide was very patient and helpful and attentive as well as knowledgeable.

      Loved the Food!
It was a real food tour. Our guide Carlos did not just shown us the best option but also, he always had a cultural story to tell about the food and the Italian culture. Without our guide we would not even know that some of these foods even exist. I must say now i know why the food is so popular
