About the operator

- PnJ_LR0 contributionsA wonderful private tour of the UffiziWe just finished our private 2-hour tour of the Uffizi with Mirella. She was wonderful and if you can, ask for her. She was extremely knowledgeable and we had some fun discussions about the amazing art works. Of course her English was perfect and she was very easy to understand with the headset. It was a little confusing where to meet because the email made it seem like we were to meet our guide at the Exit of the museum, but what it really meant was that the City Florence Tours office is located on the street by the exit. We throughly enjoyed it and could stay as long as we wanted to see more, which we did including the lovely rooftop restaurant she suggested!Written 9 October 2024

- Rex B0 contributionsSo disappointed, tickets to David canceled the night before, no reason given. Not sure I trust Viator Skip the Line now.The tour was canceled by the tour company the night before, no reason given. We went to the gallery anyway, stood in line for 45 minutes to find out it a free admission day, like it is the first Sunday of every month. Why did the tour company, Viator and Trip Advisor accept and process our $100 payment when admission was free that day ? Shouldn't they know this ? Isn't this what they do for a living ? We have Skip the Line tickets for Pompei and the Vatican. Now I'm wondering if I can trust those.Written 7 October 2024
- Ianconnexion0 contributionsAn illuminating tour of Renaissance art with IlariaIlaria was a superb guide. Her expertise on Renaissance art was captivating. She’d studied art history at university and that certainly showed in her illuminating tour of the Uffizi and Accademia. Her warm and engaging personality added to the experience and she readily answered all of our questions. A truly great way to spend a morning in Florence taking in the stunning Renaissance art.Written 2 October 2024

- Shash-10 contributionsDo Not use Trip Advisor to book any tours.DO NOT USE Trip advisor! Their booking and ticket access is THE WORST! I booked multiple tours through a variety of booking sites and Trip Advisor was the most difficult one. It’s impossible to access bookings and tickets on the app once paid for. We frantically attempted to access tickets from the app prior to tour and was only able to get tickets by searching confirmations email. I will never use trip advisor again. The tour itself was ok. The guide was a 5 star but we only got guided inside Uffizi for about 45 minutes of the 90 minute. The rest of the time was spent waiting in line to get into the museum.Written 27 September 2024
- Cindy S0 contributionsWhat a Rip Off!This was a complete rip off… I could’ve bought the tickets at the ticket office, which had no line at all, and then walked in as opposed to spending double the money, going out of my way to a ticket office only to have them hand me my tickets and tell me to just wait on the security line… And there it was. I still had to wait on a line, I paid double for the opportunity to do that. They did nothing and did not go out of their way at all and did not even escort us to the line. They simply sat in the office and told us how to get to theline. What a rip off.Written 27 September 2024

- N4228LQjefff0 contributionsGreat tours and guides. We booked, through Viator, the guided tour at both Uffizi and Accademia museums and were really pleased with the whole experience. We were met at the arranged meeting place next to each venue and handed earphones for the tours. This made the tours really easy to follow and the groups were quite small (16 people and 6 people). The guides were very knowledgeable, speaking perfect English. I wouldn't waste money on a private tour as this format was ideal for us. Gayla was the guide at Uffizi and I don't have the name of the Accademia guide but I can say they were both brilliant.Written 21 September 2024
- S6575QHchantall0 contributionsUffizi Gallery nice experience! The price for escorted entrance was too high as there was hardly any queue to jump. We went inside the tourist office and the young women had no knowledge whatsoever of the history of Florence and said they were not interested as they were only working in the ticket office. I thought they had a very cavalier attitude. The museum itself had beautiful paintings and sculptures and lovely view on the Arno riverWritten 17 September 2024
- JAH18090 contributionsMust SeeI have been before but you learn so much if you go with a guide. A must museum if you are in Florence. You will see the well known paintings of Botticelli, Da Vinci, and Michelangelo as well as sculptures.Written 17 September 2024
- MarkBo230 contributionsVery DissapointingWe had trouble finding their ticket office, in part because we were given wrong directions by people who worked at the Gallerie. When it got a little past our entry time, we did receive a call asking where we were. The woman gave us directions and hung up. We got in the general vicinity but had to call her back to get to the office to pick up our tickets. This tour was supposed to be guided to the entrance of the Gallerie but she just sat back down in her building and did not escort us to the entrance. We could have just bought tickets directly from Gallerie, saved money, and we would have had no issue finding the Gallerie’s ticket office. Very dissatisfied with this tour.Written 15 September 2024
- chandramacleod0 contributionsScam - no escorted entrance.Don’t purchase. You don’t get to skip the line. Waste of time and $ 15 euros extra. Have to figure out where this tour companies small office is to get your ticket. Once you finally find the office a person escorts you to the same ticket line you could have purchased yourself and hands you a ticket and takes off. When you think you can now skip the line you are told by the Uffizi security team that you have to wait in the same line as everyone else. There are signs stating beware of these scams. This tour group may do an ok job if you book a guided tour but don’t purchase a “skip the line” ticket. Scam.Written 7 September 2024

Note the meeting place for the tour. It is 15-20 min away from the museum. Very inconvenient and unnecessary to get there tickets. They charged 10x cost of tickets.

We are only in Florence for one day. Probably not getting to Florence til about 9 and turning in a car at the airport then coming into the city. We want to go the Accademia but need to be sure we can get an afternoon admission time. looks like you are just assigned a time and no choice????
