it was a good tour, scary and dark.. the alleyways do seem scary at night especially the ones where there are not many people

    Amazing spooky tour in florence
Our guide Antonio brought us around on sunday evening in florence to discover with him the spooky legends behind the city's charm. We walked from piazza santissima annunziata and discovered the story behind the murder of Francesco De Medici and Bianca Cappello and then many interesting facts about Dante, the mafia which bombed a part of the Uffizi gallery, the monster of florence.

    If walls could talk
We wanted to try something different for a change and this is a unique tour. It's an interesting mix of documented historical facts and urban legends, some quite gruesome. Angela has a real talent for telling stories.

    Rainy but fun
Angela was a great tour guide, it rained the whole time which was a shame but spirits stayed high. Besides Angela, myself and my partner there were only 7 others in the tour which I felt was the perfect number. Really interesting and a nice range of eras (stories from the 1400s to the 1990s). I would definitely recommend, but book through their freetour website directly for free, don’t pay the trip advisor booking fee.

    This tour is a must!
This is a tour I go on every time I have visited Florence because the tour and the guides themselves are fantastic. This time I brought along my mother and she wholeheartedly agrees! Our guide, Angela, was delightful. She was engaging, lovely to speak to and to learn from, came excellently prepared with pictures that helped contextualise the many great stories we heard.

    Worst tour ever
Without a doubt the worst tour I've ever been on. We abandoned ship after 30 minutes. the group was too large, the tour guide was using a microphone that had a poor sound quality and he repeatedly turned his back to the crowd.

Great tour nicely placed. Glenda was a great guide, I was keen to learn about the Medici Family and had my curiosity satisfied Good tips along the way as to where and what to eat, like the market recommendation. The 2 hours went very quickly Florence is a magic city and this is a great introduction

I really enjoyed the free walking tour with Angela. In two hours she told us a lot about the history of the city and about the Medicis and answered all our questions competently. It was fun to walk through the city with her - recommend it for anyone who would like to know why Florence is so full of art and great architecture.

This was me and my wife’s first trip to Florence. We had limited knowledge of the city and decided to sign up for the tour. We were initially scheduled for 10 AM but unfortunately missed it. Gabriel was very accommodating and rescheduled us for the evening to at 4:30 PM.

Amanda was out tour guide and was amazing. She was very knowledgeable and made the tour fun and exciting despite us drenching in the pouring rain. I would highly recommend this to any tourist who would like to get to know the city in a short period of time.

Thank you!

Great tour for art and architecture lovers - Gabriel has a lot of knowledge about ancient Italien artists and will gladly share some stories about their projects as well as their personal ties with each other. It’s not the typical sightseeing tour if you just want to see Florence, but it rather goes beyond that, giving you small details and insights to remember. Thanks, Gabriel!

The best two hours despite being with tourists 🤣
Sylvia our guide kept her audience attentive by making history and the main characters of the Medici family, as well as key artists, alive.
She gave the best explanation about why the scale is Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Si Do. She sang to illustrate her point with a stunning voice. It was towards the end of the visit, but not even the finale.
We have since followed some of her recommendations and enjoy the in more depth thanks to this tour and our guide.
Did I mention that you pay only if you are content AND you determine the value? Brilliant!

Yesterday we have had a tour from Amanda. Because of covid-19, we were lucky to have a private tour.

She was very enthusiastic and social and the most important part is that she was able to answer literally all our from questions about the city to the details of specific buildings.

At the end of the tour you are completely free to give the guide a tip.

Silvia was a fantastic tour guide, we really enjoyed our tour with her. The tour was informative and well-delivered and our tour guide extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. We did one-day visit to Florence from Rome in order to enjoy masterpieces of Renaissance art and architecture and have booked this tour only couple of days before arrival. In short - great walking tour, highly recommendable to all!

I did the late afternoon tour in English. Manuel was a great and informative tour guide; I'd just arrived in Florence a couple of hours before, and it was a wonderful way of being introduced to the city on foot. Fascinating retelling of the city's history, thorough and unique details that won't be so easily found in books, and honest and helpful suggestions as to the activities we should really try out for our limited stays in Florence. Thank you Manuel!

I did the English tour with Camille on a very rainy Friday and learnt so much! The group size was around 12 which was a good size, could always hear Camille and have a chance to look closer at the subject.

Camille was really friendly, knowledgable and clearly enthusiastic not only about the topics she was telling us about but also about the city and country in general! She was full of recommendations and information about everything that was asked, she couldn’t have been more helpful.

Really recommend this tour with Camille and if I ever come back to the city I’d definitely look at the other tours she runs.

Excellent and insightful tour! Silvia went above and beyond to remain engaging! As a long-time resident of Florence, she has a plethora of knowledge and is very well researched in the history of the Renaissance.
A huge and unexpected bonus was that after the tour she shared with us a link to her own compilation of food and drink venue recommendations throughout the city center. Each "pinned location" contained a brief description and some even had menu suggestions or a photo attached.
Definitely would recommend!!
