Overview

If you’re short on time in Tuscany, tick off more highlights in less time on an activity-packed day trip that’s aimed at 18 to 39 year olds visiting Tuscany for the first time. Without the hassle of arranging transport and researching attractions, you’ll zip between Siena, Monteriggioni, San Gimignano, and the Chianti wine region while you benefit from the insider knowledge of a guide. Plus, you’ll receive personalised attention in a small group limited to eight people.

What to Expect

The tour will depart Florence at 9:00am in the company 8 seat minivan. The first stop will be the historic city of Siena, where the guide will give a orientation walk of the town. Discover the beautiful architecture and visit the Cathedral, Palazzo Pubblico and Piazza del Campo, the site of the famous Palio race every July and August. Afterwards, everyone will have some downtime to relax and explore the city at his or her leisure.

Second stop on the tour will be the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Monteriggioni, the most well preserved medieval village in Tuscany. This fortress city is also where “The Gladiator” was filmed, and is one of the locations for “Assassin’s Creed”.

Next destination is San Gimignano, another UNESCO World Heritage Site and is known as the ‘Manhattan of Tuscany’ for its many towers. On the way to the village, the guide will provide each traveller with a map and tips for the best places in town. Each person can explore this magical and historic town at his or her leisure. San Gimignano is also home to an award-winning gelateria, so be sure to stop by for a sweet treat!

Last but not least, the tour will arrive into the Chianti Region, the haven of Tuscan wine, olive oils and balsamic vinegar. A local wineries will be visited, and travellers will have a chance to sample a 7 different type of wines and 3 extra virgin olive oils.

Everyone will return to Florence in the early evening.
