Luca, Max and Luigi were absolutely wonderful. This was the best time we had on a tour. THE BEST. Great food and entertainment. The “farm” was stunning and provided wonderful vistas.

Over all it was ok, you meet one place and walk pretty far to reach the kitchen, and it’s more of assembling a pizza and as for gelato you just watch, I would not recommend but it’s nit terrible either. There are far better classes and tours and if time and money is limited this

My mom and I thoroughly enjoyed our cooking class and it was great to do an activity after days of looking at sites and art. We made pizza and gelato while enjoying plenty of wine. I have done many cooking classes and this is a great one. Pizza and gelato are not very

If you are truly interested in learning how to make pizza, this may not be the course for you. It is more of an assembly class where you are given the quantities of ingredients needed (no measurements) and are shown what to do with them before doing it yourself. The gelato

Response from SocialFlorencetown, Manager at Pizza and Gelato Cooking Class in a Tuscan Farmhouse
    Responded 14 Oct. 2019
Dear POC-CW, first of all thank you for joining a Florencetown tour. We appreciate the time and effort you have spared to give us this review. We always accept all reviews as an essential element in our strive to continually maintain and exceed expectations, as well as provide the highest standards on our tours. I am sorry to read the tour did not fully meet your expectations. Our apologies for this, first of all. As you've surely experienced, making pizza is not just a matter of assembly. The most delicate part is making the dough from scratch, which is much more than just assembling. It's first of all understanding the right quantities, learning how to adjust them if needed due to the temperature or humidity level of the room you are in (that's why you have measurements, even on the recipe booklet we gave you, but those may always vary a little), and then learning the correct techniques of kneading the dough. Then the assembly part comes in, when you have to put the toppings on pizza. But this is also the most creative part of all the process, having endless possibilities if you like to experiment! (or choosing to go more traditional). This is not intended to be a formal and professional cooking class (that you were probably expecting), but, rather, a fun opportunity for everyone to learn about pizza making in a friendly and informal atmosphere, even if you have no cooking skills at all. I am sure you have experienced all the above different steps of pizza making and you will now be able to make a real Italian pizza at home to surprise your friends. And this is the actual goal of our class! Let me then please invite everyone to read several reviews on our tours, to have a more complete perspective on the quality that Florencetown delivers on them. Thank you for your feedback and looking forward to welcoming you back to Florence! Best regards Edoardo Giacometti Director of Shared Tours - Florencetown
