      Fantastic time in Tuscany!
Roberto and his group were wonderful hosts to us. We have tried a multitude of different wines and various traditional Italian cuisine. I highly recommend this trip for someone who appreciates wine and good Italian food and appetizers.

Amazing day trip with Valentina and Roberto
We had the best day with Valentina - she was an amazing tour guide. The tour started with a tour around a vineyard in the Florence hills, followed by lunch at Roberto’s home. Everything was amazing from start to finish. Thank you so much!!!

Good food with great people. Wonderful memories.
What a wonderful experience. Every one was so friendly and welcoming. The food was wonderful. We were picked up at the Florence Train Station (a little awkward identifying our pickup driver, but all worked out well, and our driver was a lovely, interesting friend of the family). There were unexpected appetizers waiting for us when we arrived. The experience couldn't have been better. They even toasted us on our 50th anniversary with a "special" tiramisu. Our class included preparing a roast, making tagliatelli and tiramisu.

Highlight of our trip to Italy.
We spent a wonderful day on this farm, cooking pasta from scratch, making tiramisu and drinking Chianti. We started with an unexpected table set with appetizers and ending with a special, also unexpected, celebration of our 50th anniversary, which we had casually mentioned in conversation. Certainly that doesn't happen for everyone, but it does show how welcoming and friendly everyone was. The whole experience enjoyable. (We were picked up at the Florence Train station meeting place. I little confusing. Be sure to have an identifying description of your pickup. We expected a van with a sign, but was just a person getting us and some other wine tourists. Friendly driver took us to the farm.) Highly recommend.

      Orrible experience
I went to visit Tuscany with my parents and it was a great idea because every single place is worth the visit except Fattoria Palaia. I got a degree in Food Science and Technology at the university of Bari 'Aldo Moro' so I'm sure I'm the right person to judge the situation. My doubts started once I saw a pony really close to the door of the kitchen and (i'm so sorry to tell this) all its poo around the entrance of the kitchen. I saw lots of non compliance that make me so nervous once the food arrived. The waitress treated me and my family without any respect. They brought us : 1processo 2vino 3primer without even asking and all of them were really low quality products. When the pasta and the meat arrived I couldn't beleive to my taste because every single thing was disguisting. So there were no good hygenic rules, no respect for the consumers so this two reasons are enough to let that place close. I really hope that in some ways no one can experience what I did. Eventually we did not pay at all. Do you wanna know why? Cause the owner really hoped I could stay calm and not write a bad review. Lots of people instead pay because are not italian or they just don't know how to approach to such unsatisfaction. I'm so sorry for what I saw there and for what I taste. Food has to be safe and genuine not made with poor quality ingredients because people want to earn money being sly

Tuscan wine and dining experience - excellent
Wineing and dining in Tuscan province is always something great but Leonardo - the wine master and the owners of the Factoria Palaia make it exceptional. The setting is picturesque, located at the hill, overlooking vineyards and olive gardens. You can dine outside and experience the sunset over the valley.

      Memorable experience
I went there for a week, travelling on my own. Roberto, the owner and Anna-Maria are so friendly and take great care of all their guests! They go out of their way to make sure you get what you want. The place is authentic, in the middle of the Tuscany hills and vineyards, with a goat, poney, a goose, duck and cats!! It s such a great place, with beautiful landscapes but most of all with great people! We met every evening for dinner and drinks with the other guests and the owner! There are a lot of things to do! 7 days felt so short! They can organize cooking lessons and wine tasting. It was so much fun! I would definitely recommend this place to the people looking for an authentic experience and go back there myself!

      Icing on the Cake!
Dinner, wine and evening on "Authentic" Tuscan Farm. We booked for my birthday. Owner (Roberto) picks you up from train station in his car and drives you along countryside to his B&B farm. Leonardo (neighbor who speaks great English) Is our wine and food guide - very entertaining. Hang out and enjoy the country side, very casual and such a wonderful experience. Goat wandering around. Geese in pen as well other European couples driving in throughout the evening and staying at his B&B. We were paired up with 3 generations of lovely ladies. We all eat and drink together although Leonardo gives you option to eat by yourselves if preferred. We did not as the people we met made this such a wonderful experience. Food and wine were excellent. The best salami I have ever eaten!

      Best day yet in Italy!
We went to Fattoria Palaia for a Cooking Class in a Traditional Tuscan Farmhouse. Leonardo was our guide and Roberto (owner) drove us from Florence train station to the farmhouse. We left at 10am and did not get home until 6pm. When we arrived we were greeted by Louisa, the teacher, and given sausage/cheese bruschetta which was wonderful- a different appetizer but one we can definitely make at home. Leonardo served us an Apertol spritzer which was delicious and so refreshing. The kitchen is amazing.. dining area is so beautiful (see picture) everything I would want in a kitchen. They also had an outdoor area to eat with a beautiful view. We were able to relax, take pictures, meet the goat and pony (which roam free) and enjoy our appetizer and drink. Then we went into the kitchen to make the pasta. We learned how to make cavatelli. Then we started the tomato sauce and picked up a lot of good tips. Next was the pork loin which was braised in red wine for an hour (delicious). Finally the wonderful Dolce.. a mixture of whipped cream and marscapone topped with fresh peaches pureed and crumbled amaretti cookies on top of the puree-- another recipe I will make at home. So good! Through out the meal Leonardo served different wines and explained their origin. When we were leaving Roberto presented us with a bottle of wine from his vineyard. Many thanks to Leonardo, Louisa and Roberto for a perfect day.

      Tipical tuscan farm
This is an old farm surrounded by vineyards, a cozy and quit place to spend a few days and enjoy the area. The great host, the good wine and the relaxed atmosphere made our holiday a memorable one.

    It was September 2019.
So well organised. Rustic and fantastic. We were met by our chef Antonella, who showed us to the car. We drove through Tuscany looking at the beautiful scenery and heard about the families who established the area.
The team at Fattoria palaia were wonderful. We learnt how to make Pasta and Tiramisu. Then after all the preparation and a few lovely red wines we ate! Had such a great time - would highly recommend - Antonella made the day!

Food for Africa and the food we made was delicious. So much experience from our chef Antonella she was an absolute delight. Had the most fantastic time, the wine was fantastic too.
