- pirashaanthn0 contributionsElena was a fantastic guide. Our guide, Elena, was absolutely fantastic! Her deep knowledge and passion for both the galleries and the city of Florence truly elevated our experience. She shared fascinating insights and took the time to explain every detail with such clarity and enthusiasm, making the history and art come alive. Elena’s warmth and genuine love for her work shone through, and we felt incredibly lucky to have her as our guide. This tour was an unforgettable journey through Florence, and Elena's expertise made it all the more special. Highly recommended!Written 4 December 2024
- Carmen T0 contributionsUnforgettable, amazing experience! Grazie!Excellent guide! Amazing, unforgettable experience! The climb to the top of the Duomo was awesome! We really enjoyed the Academia tour and Michaelangelo did not disappoint! Thank you!Written 30 November 2024
- jellybellymelly0 contributionsGood day tourWe started with a photo stop at Piazzale Michelangelo (we've already gone the day before without knowing this is part of the tour's itinerary), then headed to Siena and had a walking tour with our guide (Agnes?). Poggio Amorelli, the winery we visited, was great, and so was lunch - we had charcuterie, choice of a pasta, and cantuccini (all with wine pairing). The last stop was San Gimignano (this was a lovely town) - had a brief walking tour with our guide and just had around 20 mins to walk around by ourselves. There was a group of 6 of us and another group of 5 split into two minivans, and the guide hopped in and out of each minivan at different stops. Didn't bother us as we had the commentary/walking tours at each destination with the guide. Overall a good day tour.Written 24 November 2024
- stevenmP460VV0 contributionsGreat tourOur guide was excellent. He told us all kinds of information and just kept talking so that we knew so much. She was excited and wonderful to be around.Written 20 November 2024
- William W0 contributionsExcellent small group tourThe tour was a small group (12) which some tours are 30-40. Marco was excellent. Shared history of the area, customs of the locals, and great places to eat at. Being a small group was nice to meet other people from around the world. Made for a fun evening. Highly recommend.Written 2 November 2024
- cutefrenchhouse0 contributionsThe perfect introduction to food and the OltrarnoI can't say enough good things about this tour. I went to Florence with three college friends, and the tour of the Oltrarno was a highlight of our trip: fun, entertaining, and completely delicious. Marco, our guide, was charming and delightful. We were very happy that we visited small, interesting places -- this was *not* one of those food tours that packs groups into cheesy tourist spots. We learned so much, and the other people in our group were friendly as well. I would not hesitate to recommend this to other travelers -- or do it again!Written 31 October 2024
- G6857PXalinaa0 contributionsSmell of Florence!I really enjoyed the tour, getting to know Florentine cuisine, our guide Chiara, who with knowledge and humor dedicated us to interesting details of the life of Italians, as well as historical moments. Delicious wines, real Florentine steak and many other amazing things awaited us on this tour. This is an experience that you definitely want to repeat🙏Written 30 October 2024
- alexandrasO6551PB0 contributionsNice TourAlma was knowledgeable and passionate about art and gave wonderful insight into the creation of Michaelangelo's David, as well as the progression of art over time. However, the tour's description sounded like we would go to more places rather than having a concentrated art lesson. Overall it was fabulous, but one of my friends was bored.Written 28 October 2024
- crisismusicblog0 contributionsExceptionalLucia was knowledgeable, engaging and fun. She was truly superb! We loved everything about this tour. Seeing this art up close and in person was a highlight of my life.Written 28 October 2024
- AnnaN9480 contributionsStunningAmazing experiences being on top of the Duomo and almost alone. Our guide Giada was extremely knowledgeable, sweet, and able to explain everything in a clear and simple way. Being on top of the city is breath-takingWritten 27 October 2024
- kbemje0 contributionsToo much detail ruins the tourThe guide was extremely knowledgeable. She spent too much time (25 minutes) in front of one sculpture or painting going into way too much detail therefore missed seeing all the art works. Finally the four of us abandon the tour at Tuffzi Museum. She did not have a stick with a flag so guests would know where she was. It caused issues. She was very nice and personable.Written 26 October 2024
- 601kevb0 contributionsDavid looks goodGreat museum to view the statue. Our guide was friendly and informative. The museum was clean and had all the amenities you require.Written 20 October 2024
- elizzledizzle0 contributionsknowledgeable guideI loved how our guide provided in-depth context, not only about the history and symbolism of the artwork but also the techniques and technical details—exactly what we were hoping for. While I knew we'd only cover the highlights, I was surprised at some of the pieces we skipped (which just shows how much art there is!) I wish the tour ended at the museum w/out David since there's so much to see at the other!Written 20 October 2024
- Pioneer649157632270 contributionsWorth the cost.Brenda was an excellent guide. She was interactive, knowledgeable and passionate about the David sculpture and the paintings.Written 20 October 2024
- L5151GEmassimilianog0 contributionsAway from the crowd in the heart of the real FlorenceThe tour was amazing! More than I was expecting! It was away from the crowd in a neighborhood that wasn't full of tourists, Oltrarno. Our guide Lorenzo made everything to let us experience a great time. Besides the guide what a food we tried... I'm still mouth watering thinking about it... SPOILER ALERT - Great cold cuts, amazing wine and meat! I loved the wine window!!! The same of Stanley Tucci!!!! If I knew it I would have invite also my friends as it has been a real fun!!! Definitely to suggest!!! Thanks Lorenzo!!!Written 17 October 2024

Alma was the most amazing guide - we now know so much more about the history of Florence. I cannot recommend highly enough - the walking tour took us through the heart of Florence and we had express entry to the Academia and Doumo. The queues for normal entry were very very long despite it being November so absolutely worth the cost

A fantastic walking tour, which Cristiano, our guide passionately and knowledgable navigated our way through the very streets of Florence. Would definitely recommend this tour which gave front of queue entry into the Academia Museum, home of the original David, the Cathedral and fascinating walks through the bustling backstreets! Excellent!

A captivating few hours with Regina who made this a wonderful and enlightening experience with her passion, enthusiasm and deep knowledge of Florence and the art within.
Regina made sure, before we actually looked at the art that we first understood the context in which it was created and why it was important. This enabled a greater understanding and a much higher level of enjoyment!
We’d definitely recommend this tour if you’re with Regina and hopefully other guides are similarly enlightening if you get someone else!

The tour should have been titled "David Statue and Cathedral Viewing." Our guide was quite knowledgeable, but her thick Italian accent made it slightly challenging to understand at times. Overall, the experience was average, and in hindsight, we believe we could have saved some money by booking the museums only, without the guided tour.

We were booked for the 2.15pm tour, meeting at 2pm prompt. The meeting point had changed (no details sent out before) and some people did not arrive until about 2.20 however we remained at the meeting point until 2.45 as the guide had not collected enough Skip the Line tickets to the Accedamia. We were not kept informed and we’re just left waiting for the guide to return. We then spent 30 minutes in the queue with the guide sighing and muttering to herself. She hadn’t introduced herself and just appeared to be cross with everything and everyone. We had a scant 30 mins to see the David and look around before we were marched off to the Duomo and given a very faltering history of the building. The guide appeared to relax on the final walk around Florence but we didn’t gain any information we couldn’t have read from a very basic guidebook.

We had a great tour with Chris. He was extremely knowledge and spoke excellent English. He knew everyone in the group and made sure everyone was involved. His mix of knowledge infused with humor held everyone’s interest. He encouraged questions and answered them with words and examples. This tour was organized from the beginning and the use of the headsets made all the difference as everyone could hear every word.

Our guide Angelo was brilliant! Not only was he very knowledgeable and passionate about all of the artworks in the gallery and the Duomo, he was also very funny and entertaining. We would definitely recommend this tour and would advise booking the early tickets to beat the queues. The walk between the 2 exhibits, pus the walk afterwards towards the Ponte Vecchio was also enjoyable.

Our group was a good size and our guide was helpful and very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, it was difficult for my husband to hear clearly since there was only one earpiece and not two. I’d recommend the company place a priority on improving the listening device. Otherwise, the tour was an excellent introduction to Florence.

Our tour guide was extremely knowledgable and we were given a wonderful tour. It was obvious how much our tour guide knew and appreciated about art history and we were fortunate to learn from him. This was one of the best tours we took on our vacation. We really enjoyed learning more about Florence beyond the big attractions.

How can I add the Duomo as an upgrade? I don’t see this option. Thanks!

Maybe they change their tours in the off season. You might have to contact them. It was available on their website when I booked it. (Walks Tours and Artviva Tours offer similar things, both offer small group tours) My tour actually included the words VIP Duomo tour but that was not available as a choice to review.
