This description started “This Florence walking and Uffizi Gallery tour” and also explicitly said this was 2 yours combined into one.

This is one walking tour of the city and skip the line tickets for David and the Uffizi, NOT a tour of the Uffizi Gallery the Uffizi tour is what I specifically wanted when I biked so I felt misled by the description and disappointed.

Dear MarianneZawadzki, Thanks for posting your review. I am sorry if you feel that the tour inclusions were not as expected. If the description on the website was misleading I suggest you to check directly with your distributor as on our City Wonders website we clearly state that the Combo tour includes the access to the Uffizi in the afternoon with tickets but not the guided tour. You can also contact us directly with your reference number for assistance. Kind regards, Federica City Wonders Customer care

Letizia was excellent- her in depth knowledge and ability to gauge our interest and calibrate her explanations was perfect. By booking for a Wednesday we were a group of two while the Tuesday group was the maximum of ten. The time flew - at least 8 times I marveled at her explication of a masterpiece including history, the personalities involved, as well as technique and thought “wow that was worth the ticket price” and then it would happen again. Plus the routes within the museums are not obvious so following an expert avoided lines and maximized the experience. We were delighted and a day later I am thinking back and savoring our four hours with charming Letizia. Oh- and her English is excellent and she explains the pertinent Italian vocabulary beautifully. And finally- the cafeteria terrace in the Ufizzi is very good.

Now, I don’t necessarily know how to approach this…the tour itself was great. Our guide, the sites, everything. Well worth it. Where I run into issues is with the Viator company. We booked this tour seeing “Skip the line Uffizi Gallery and La Academia tour” “duration 2.5 hours”. We did have an event at 3:30pm but after reading the details on the page, there was no indication it would interfere. We figured 10:00am meeting, 2.5 hour tour, perfect timing to grab some lunch before our afternoon event. The night before the tour we receive an email stating there may be a three hour delay between museums. This was slightly concerning considering our plans but we figured it’s the night before, there’s no sense worrying about it. We were offered some relief the following morning when our tour guide insisted there was no delay in the day. As the groups slowly arrived it became apparent that there was quite a bit of confusion as to what this tour was actually about. Everyone in our tour was expecting to be done around 12-1. The tour itself was a very focused as a city tour around Florence, not so much the museums. Turns out that 2.5 hour duration ended up being 6-7 hours. (2 hour city walk tour, self tour in La Academia, then self tour in Uffizi at 3:30pm) We never actually received our tickets to the Uffizi Gallery since we had to leave in the afternoon. We asked if we could obtain our tickets to go on our own time or join the tour tomorrow and Viator declined. We asked if we could get our money back from Uffizi since the description was misleading, Viator declined. I’m not sure if since Italy is just reopening there is some hiccups in the logistics of these tours, but take this as a gentle warning and learn from our experience that it is by no means a 2.5 hour tour. Definitely chalk up a whole day for this one. There’s one thing for sure, Viator customer service is a nightmare and they are not friendly to customer complaints. I had a resolution email to our “investigation” denying any help within 5 minutes of hanging up with them. It was apparent there was no attempt to resolve the situation on their end. So long story short, don’t make the same mistake we did. Happy travels!

At City Wonders we always try to provide the best possible service to our customers so it’s disappointing to hear that was not the case with your tour. Please, accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. On our website we mention "approximately 3 Hours Break between Best of Florence and Uffizi Gallery visit". As well on the vouchers we provide the meeting points, duration and starting times of the 2 parts of the combo. This tour was so so good. Our tour guide Angelo was amazing. He knew everything there was to know and was able to answer any and all questions brought up to him even if they were about things not related to the tour exhibitions. It was worth seeing both the Uffizi and the Accademia. There were no lines to skip due to the covid-19 situation as we took this tour a week before things got shut down but I would recommend this tour to anyone coming to florence as it is not only a tour of the two big galleries but also a small city walking tour.

Wonderful tour with an amazing tour guide, Angela! This double tour was a great way to see 2 of Florence’s major sights, as well as a walking tour of many other sights, in a short amount of time, but with a lot of wonderful information.

Easy to find - had radio headphones so you could easily hear and keep up. Check in was simple and on time. Guides were very informative. Avoided huge lines in both museums which was worth the price of the ticket without anything else. The museums are packed with stuff to see - it really helped having guides take you to the important works - otherwise - you would spend a lot of time checking maps and trying to figure out what’s what.

This tour is a great way to get the most essential parts of Florence in a one-day experience that isn't too overwhelming or exhausting. Because Florence is a city rich in history, having guidance in navigating the highlights took a lot of the stress out of our trip. We did the first half of the tour (Accademia) with Marilena as our guide, then the second half after lunch (Uffizi) with Melania. Both of our guides were friendly, humorous, knowledgeable and had obvious passion for the great works on display. They encouraged questions, gave advice and showed genuine kindness. I consider us very lucky to have had both of these veterans of Florence culture share their city with us.

Super happy with the way the tour turned out. We did the small-group walking tour of the Accademia/David with Valentina. Gave us a lot of cool facts not just about the statue of David but around the areas that we walked through as well! Angelo Alterio was our tour guide for the Uffizi, he was very funny and loved the way he explained everything! I even overheard someone in our group say they wish he was their art teacher. We learned a lot!
