Chianti Half-day Wine Tour
Enjoy with us breathtaking landscapes of vineyards and olive groves through the Tuscan countryside and visit two different typical wine cellars where to taste the famous typical wine!
From USD 52.38
Overview
Leave the driving to someone else while enjoying Tuscany’s famous wine on this Chianti tour from Florence. Get a comprehensive introduction to the region’s wine by visiting two different wine estates and medieval village. Your guide takes you past picturesque Tuscan countryside to wine estates in Chianti Fiorentino and Chianti Classico to taste local wine and food. The tour includes time to explore the winery cellars, and the villages themselves.
What to Expect
Get picked up in central Florence to head to the Tuscan countryside. Pass by picturesque olive groves, vineyards, and rolling hills on the way to the Chianti Fiorentino region.

Stop at a distinguished wine estate for a tour. Learn about winemaking secrets and traditions, including how the grapes are crushed and the wine is matured and bottled. Enjoy a tasting of Chianti, dessert wine, or a prominent white wine.

Then, head to Greve, a medieval village where one of the region’s most important wine festivals is held. Explore the village’s central piazza and artisan shops.

Your next stop is a family-run winery in the Sienese area of Chianti Classico. Take a guided tour of the cellar and taste wine and local products in the garden.

Stop at Castellina, a hilltop village with a large fortress and Etruscan ruins. Explore the village’s medieval streets and square before heading back to Florence.

Cheers! Great trip!

We had a great adventure touring a couple vineyards/wineries and medieval village. Warning if you get car sick, there are a lot of winding roads, so you will want to arrive early and find a seat at the front of the bus.More

It begins near the main train terminal by the bus depot in the back. There is a ramp that takes or a taxi can leave you there. Brochure tells you where. But you need tickets ahead of time.
