Our driver, Salvo, was a treasure. Our flight Naples to Catania was delayed late on a Sunday night, but he waited for us, communicating with us via Whatsapp. Slavo provided valuable, informed conversation about Sicily and Taormina on the Aug. 18 ride and delivered us right to the door of our hotel. He's a pro.

I booked this transfer 8 months ago. I emailed the company to ask them to confirm the transfer - if the date and time was OK and the hotel address. No response after 2 emails. As I edge closer to my departure I decided to try to get in touch again through phone messaging before I cancelled. I got a response and then I was told everything is OK. Then I asked - did you check the actual time I requested for a pick-up? I have an early morning international flight and need to leave just before 3am. NOTE - The excursion on Viator did say they operate - "Monday - Sunday : 12:00 AM - 11:30 PM". He didn't even pay any attention to the details I provided and only realised when I pointed out the departure time I requested. He then said he cannot do it because it is too early. So why post up false hours then? Update the hours to the time you are willing to do a transfer. Imagine if I did not perform my due diligence like most other travellers and then went ahead without confirming and waited for my transfer to the airport that morning and then nothing came because this person failed to provide the service. That would have cost me my flight home. No thanks - lack of care and communication and false advertising.

We booked private transport with Journeys around Sicily to and from our hotel in Taormina and Catania. Salvo picked us up at the airport and helped us with our suitcases on arrival. Salvo is incredibly friendly, helpful and happy to share tips and history about Sicily. He knows a lot and speaks English very well. He also remembered that I had back and leg problems on arrival which fortunately got better during my stay, and I think it was also because he helped us a lot. He drove the car down the hill in front of the hotel, so we did not need to go all the way up with the suitcases (the hill from our hotel to the road was very steep), and he also helped us roll our suitcases to the car. Unfortunately we did not have the time to go for a guided tour with Journeys around Sicily this time, but I will definitely contact Journeys around Sicily on my next trip to Sicily. 10 out of 10 for service, expertise and friendliness! Recommended!

Salvo was communicative leading up to collecting us at the airport and was on time and friendly. He gave us a couple of recommendations of places to visit. As a result of the above we decided to book a return trip with him as he felt reliable. Very happy with our airport shuttle - nice clean vehicle too!

Salvo was great. We prearranged a private tour to Taormina and Murgo Winery. His communication was perfect ahead of time. Nice Mercedes van with plenty of room. He gave us history of the area while driving and took us by some extra sites along the way. I highly recommend him and Journeys of Sicily. You won't be disappointed!

Best tour we had during our visit in Sicily. Our driver Salvo was the kindest person we met there, he speaks english very well and knows everything about the history and geology of Sicily. He brought just two of us with a luxury and cosy car. Our first stop was Noto, he instructed us well what we should visit, after we went to Syracusa. This trip worths every penny, we strongly recommend it.

Salvo picked us up from the Catania airport and also was our driver the next day to 3 towns. He was always prompt and had great knowledge of the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. 5 stars!

Excellent reliable private transport from Catania Airport. Having chosen not to hire a car for our holiday in July 2022, we decided we needed a driver from Catania. After scanning reviews we chose Salvo. We booked Salvo on line, receiving excellent communication back. Although our flight was delayed, Salvo was there to greet us and took us without delay to Cefalu. A lovely drive and we learnt a lot about Sicily on the way. Highly recommended.

We visited Sicily for approx a month in January. We decided not to drive ourselves and used a company called Taormina Transfer. They are extremely flexible and will do as little as transfer you from Catania airport to Taormina or arrange a trip all around Sicily with day tours like they did for us. Always on time and very pleasant. Maria and Massimo were great and nothing was too much trouble. We highly recommend them.

A group of 4 did a one day shore excursion with Salvo. He was a great guide, knowledgeable, a safe driver, and picked us up/dropped us off on time. Highly recommend him and the tour to Taormina and Mt. Etna. The volcano was actually smoking the day of our visit, and the town of Taormina was beautiful!

Salvo from Journeys Around Sicily was great! We ordered a bigger van as we had bicycle packed in boxes to transport form airport to Zafferana where we stayed. Salvo was on time, great service! Also on the way back the same. Wonderful on time service for very good prices as well!

We recently took a day trip from Taormina to Siracusa, Ortigia and Noto. It was absolutely beautiful. My favorite place was Ortigia. The architecture there is stunning. It started to rain, so we missed Noto, but we plan to return as we would like to sample Corrado's gelato at the Cafe Sicilia.
