Splendid, splendid!! I stayed there one night with friends - the room was large, well appointed. The reception was friendly ('have a glass of bubbly in our lobby seating area while we review your passport, as per tourism rules' - how hospitable!). Manuel was our enthusiastic guide who simply loves his job and wines. He also works for the San Mattia Agritursimo where we stayed. (I highly recommend that place as well) For a great, Low Key vineyard tour............close to downtown Verona. Just a small vineyard but the wine is delicious with stunning views down to Verona. There was no choice in the menu for dinner but that didn't matter as the food was excellent. We took a taxi there but walked back through the olive trees. Highly recommended!!Written 8 July 2016
- Andy C0 contributionsHidden treasureWe picked up an unassuming leaflet at the tourist info for this wine tasting and vineyard tour, and have to say that, at €10, the quality was astounding. There's an easy bus ride up the hillside from Verona (number 95), and the place has a stunning panorama of the city below. Giovanni walked us around the vineyard and the tour was very relaxed and friendly (he speaks excellent English and communicates a real passion for his craft). After that we tasted six wines and he talked us through them. Excellent quality. We had also booked lunch (the San Mattia Agritourismo is the same building) and were served a superb tasting menu. Can't praise this enough. Top quality wines, excellent food, friendly staff, stunning view. If you're in Verona don't miss out on this.Written 3 April 2016

This is a small local organic Vienna vineyard which takes 20 mins and €20 in a taxi. The tour was in small groups with a knowledgeable guide who was very happy to answer questions and wanted to engage the group. The setting, food and wine were excellent. We booked the 4pm tour and we’re still happily taking in the panoramic view of the city and sipping wine at 6.30. Great value, very relaxed - we loved it.

The vineyard tour was short and sweet and gave a great appreciation for all the work that goes into such great wines. The wines and charcuterie board were delicious (we even brought a bottle home), and the view over Verona at sunset was spectacular, too. We highly recommend staying for dinner—the mixed grilled meats were fantastic!

Really lovely and knowledgable tour guide, a simple but informative guide of the vineyard, cellar and wine process was given, then we were taken to a beautiful garden with breathtaking views of Verona, where we tasted the wines together with a charcuterie/cheese board. Our guide was funny and friendly, and we would definitely recommend this tour. The 95 bus from Verona was €3pp return from Verona centre, which we highly recommend as the walk would have been quite treacherous with steep slopes and lack of pavement at times. Service at the bar after the tour lacked, and took a while.

A fabulous afternoon spent drinking good wine with a panoramic view of Verona and the surrounding countryside.
The visit kicked off with a short tour of the vineyard and winery and then the tasting started on a terrace overlooking the city and countryside.
We sampled 5 wines and had some cheeses and meats together with bread and water to cleanse our palates and enjoyed them all, although my personal favourite was the strongest and last wine - the amarone, which we learnt is made from dried grapes

The wine shop is rather small but very private and friendly. Unfortunately, we didn't understand much of the tour because we were standing at the back (I recommend wearing a microphone). The view was breathtakingly beautiful and we really enjoyed the food and the wine.

Can’t recommend this highly enough, it was the highlight of our stay in Verona. It is a small independent winery, and the enthusiasm and knowledge of our guide really shown through. The vineyard and views of Verona are absolutely stunning. The wine tasting also included a cheese and charcuterie board, and we ended up chatting to the other couples on the tour and drinking wine on the terrace for several hours after the tour ended. One tip - get a taxi up the hill, then take a leisurely walk back down afterwards. It is not worth trying to walk up!

The property was beautiful with amazing views. The wine was wonderful and the hospitality warm and welcoming. The prices were competitive.

We booked an English guided tour with wine tasting and were absolutely taken away with the sheer beauty of the location, the winery and the guide himself!
Andrea spoke perfect English and was very enthousiastic about sharing his extensive knowledge about winemaking, winetasting and the local area. He was very understanding and had thorough answers for the many 'beginner' questions we had about winemaking.
When we sat down for the winetasting part of the tour we were totally taken aback by the magnificent view of Verona and the surrounding area.
The wine was accompanied with a plethora of diffrent kinds of localy sourced meats and cheeses, most of which came from the farm run by the winery.
The five diffrent wines we got to try all had a unique backstory and taste to them, which Andrea explained with beatifull metaphors and hand gestures.
If you are ever in the area please do yourself the favour of experiencing this unforgetable tour and tourguide.

We had a great time. The tour and tasting were really good, but the views were awesome! I would definitely recommend this if you have a couple of extra hours in your schedule and want to do something near Verona city center.

Well worth a visit , interesting and informative, a haven of tranquility. 5wines to taste accompanied by delicious eats . Not far from Verona , €20 taxi ride , public transport (2 buses) not an option in the current heat wave.

I'm sure a 9 yr old would find the whole experience of seeing the vineyard, hearing the history and the process fascinating. I'm sure too the owners would have no problem with having a child present. If you want to know for certain, give them a ring.
