Overview

While in Verona, don’t miss out on visiting the well-known Valpolicella wine region on this 3-hour tour. Follow your guide through the area, and stop at wineries to taste some of the best Italian wines, including an Amarone, a rich red wine made from partially dried grapes. Along the way, learn about the winemaking process and snap pictures of the beautiful vineyards.

What to Expect
Meet for this 3-hour wine tour in central Verona, near Castelvecchio a little before 10a.m. Once you hook up with your guide and your small-group of eight people or less, hop in an air-conditioned vehicle for the ride through the Valpolicella wine region.

During this tour, enjoy the stunning scenery as you drive over to a winery. At the winery, sample traditional Italian wines, such as Amarone, Ripasso, and Valpolicella Classico. Your guide tells you about the different wines, the history of this area, and other interesting facts. Learn about the winemaking process at this winery, and head down to the wine cellar. You can purchase bottles of your favorite kinds to take home with you if you choose (own expense).

Afterward, spend some free time exploring the Valpolicella region before hopping back in your vehicle for the ride back to where your tour began — Verona.
