Has to be the most romantic place I’ve visited so far. Visited Juliette’s house which i loved think my partner embraced it just for me tbh but definitely worth a visit though but go early to avoid queuing.
We had a concert in the amphitheater so didn’t do the tour in the day but can imagine it would have been really interesting seeing bits that were missed
We visited a lovely little hidden bar on the street Via San Nicolò that served food and the best cocktails at good prices and the owners were so welcoming.
Think the best tip is Verona has water fountains situated everywhere around the city where you can fill your bottle with drinking water.

We were in Verona on a day when it rained heavily all day, so the bus was a great option for seeing the place without getting soaked. However, if it was dry weather and not extremely hot most of the sites that you want to visit are easily accessible on foot. I'm not sure you need would need the bus if you were happy walking and didn't have any mobility issues.

We used the hop on hop off bus on numerous occasions (we purchased a 2 day pass) and used it instead of taxis. It's a great way to see all of the sites - the cable car and the castle are must see attractions. Would definitely use again

Having done many sight seeing tours over the years in various countries this rates as the poorest. Buses are very infrequent. There are 2 different lines which take in different parts of the city. One line (line B) was a mini bus so that it could fit through the narrow streets, but at busy times there just isn’t enough seats to accommodate all the passengers, so you would have to wait a full hour for the next bus. Route A is the usual double decker. The commentary on both buses was really poor. Hardly any information for such an historical location and the some of the same commentary is repeated on both bus routes. There is also lots of music and blank silences throughout the 1 hour journey for each bus. It cost us €25 per person (for the 24 hour pass). Would not recommend this tour as good value for money or very informative. To be honest Verona is quite a small city and most of the landmarks are easily within walking distance of each other!

We strongly advise against booking this in advance. We bought 48 hour tickets in advance for 5 people and on the first day we were unable to board a single bus despite multiple attempts. A complete waste of money and, worst of all, we wasted precious vacation time waiting for buses that arrived full. The buses are infrequent and do not have sufficient capacity for the volume of ticket sales. No response from the company when I emailed to explain the problem

The hop on/hop off opportunity was poor, at least for the blue line. We got on the blue line at the initial stop and got off to see a garden at the third stop. After visiting the garden, we waited at the stop and found that the next bus was full and we couldn't board. We walked to the next stop and waited again only to find that the next bus was also full. We then walked to the next stop (Castel San Pietro) which was a strenuous climb up the hill to the castel. We assumed enough people would get off at the castel that we could board and ride back to the initial stop. But when the bus arrived, all passengers got off the bus and were allowed 2 minutes to photograph the view and reboard. So essentially, this was a ride up and back to the castel and not really a hop on/hop off feature. Complicating this was that the blue route only used small van buses with space for only 20 to 25 people due to the narrow streets. The people selling the tickets at the initial stop should have been honest and told us that we likely would not be able to hop on/hop off on this route.

This probably has to be the worst we've been on in Europe. It's expensive at 25 euros each for 24 hours.
There are two routes, red and blue. The red route has a double decker bus and the blue route is a small mini bus.
Verona is only a small city, but the red route takes you over the river and seems to take in quite a large area. It starts at Piazza Bra and is estimated to take around an hour.
You are given ear phones and the tour is by audio. There are 8 points of interest on the red route, one being where the bus starts and another example is the train station! It didn't seem to last an hour and wasn't very interesting. The audio is very repetitive.
Next, the blue route. A small minibus which takes in eight sights (three of which repeats of the red route). However, you do get to climb high above the city and it does stop so you can take pictures of the views for 'two minutes'.
This was a rickety old ride with nothing much to see and I actually felt a bit travel sick when we returned.
We liked the look of the castle, so we jumped on the red route again and got off at Castelvecchio. It's a lovely area with some great restaurants and shops. However, walking around the streets, we came out at the market which is literally 5 minutes walk from the arena! We didn't realise we were so close to the centre after a 20 minute bus ride!
Overall, expensive ride when you can walk the whole city comfortably in a day. There are not as frequent as other cities. Audio very repetitive and the minibus raced around the route.
I would recommend walking and spending the money on a nice meal.

Over priced and extremely disappointing. The audio information was out of sink with our location from the information I got from my wife and the driver appeared to be rebooting the system whilst driving. I tried two sets of hearing buds but never did hear any commentary. The guide was not interested in my problem with receiving the audio and just kept chatting with the driver who was not concentrating on his driving!
When we decided to get off the bus to take pictures we were told that we had 5 minutes and that getting in the next bus could be a problem.
Don't bother, it is very poorly operated and not worth 25 Euros.

Verona is so beautiful therefore we visited it again in 2025. Compared with other towns we had just visited, coffee and pastries are overpriced in some bars and they did not provide receipts, so try to avoid some small bars located in the center’s center. Just walking a few metres away, you will find cafes and bars with reasonable prices.

The info both on website and on bus stands(when you can find them) is so bad. Wandered around to find bus stop. Waited 40 mins for bus that didn’t exist (although on internet timetable), then the bus that does arrive isn’t the line I wished for, so another 15 min wait at the next stop. Bit too hungry and hot to enjoy the tour now☹️
