I was expecting this experience to be unique and special, and I was looking forward to it as a highlight of our trip. I could not have anticipated how far it would exceed my expectations. Valerio put us at ease instantly, guiding us as we chose our ingredients from the market, always considerate of our needs and interests, yet introducing us to new flavors (both literally and figuratively). Making the meal together in his home felt natural and fun thanks to Valerio's authentic warmth and hospitality. We never stopped talking as he led us through this culinary experience, and he shared details of life in Venice we could never have learned from a guidebook. He did not rush at all, and it truly felt like we were having lunch with a friend. His additional recommendations for things to do and see in Venice helped us to make the most of our limited time in this beautiful city. I can not recommend Valerio and this authentic Venetian experience more highly!

While visiting Venice, I had the pleasure of booking a tour with Valerio for fish shopping at Rialto Market followed by home cooking in Murano. The experience was nothing short of extraordinary and truly authentic. We began our day at Rialto Market, selecting fresh, local ingredients under Valerio's expert guidance. From there, we traveled to his lovely home in Murano, where he prepared a mouthwatering multi-course meal, perfectly paired with libations for each course. What made the experience even more special was how hands-on it was—my friend and I got to help with some of the preparations, which made the meal feel even more personal and rewarding. Throughout the day, Valerio’s warm and engaging personality shone. He answered all our questions about life in Italy with patience and enthusiasm, sharing fascinating insights into local culture and traditions. Despite our endless curiosity, he never seemed to tire of our company and made us feel completely at home. To top it off, Valerio provided excellent recommendations for other unique experiences and activities we could try during our trip. His hospitality, knowledge, and passion for sharing the Italian way of life made this tour the highlight of my visit to Venice. If you’re looking for an authentic, unforgettable experience in Venice, I cannot recommend Valerio enough. He is the perfect host and guide, and this experience is not to be missed!

Valerio is excellent - opened our eyes to the real Venezia and generously shared many other tips regarding restaurants, short cuts, etc … would recommend him for anything Venezia !!!

This was a great tour and just one water taxi stop from Venice. San Michele is the burial island of Venice. Our guide, Valerio, was able to speak about the history of the place as well as providing unique cultural insights. I recommend this tour for those who want to explore more than just the usual Venice tourist spots. Valerio is an excellent guide who lives locally and really knows his stuff.

This tour was very fun, and is especially good if you want to discover some more hidden parts of Venice. Our guide Kiki was very funny and personable, and had lots of entertaining stories with some contextual information to help us better understand some of the legends and history of Venice - 1.5 hours had passed but it felt shorter because it was so engaging!

We had a fun and fascinating couple of hours walking with Valerio, together with another couple. He is able to communicate not only his deep 'insider' knowledge of Venice and its history and buildings, but also his enthusiasm for the city. As promised he took us to to some less busy but still very attractive areas and gave us a valuable insight into the 'real' Venice, away from the crowds. A really interesting guy - highly recommended!

Absolutely outstanding! What a luck! I visited Venice for a couple of days and, a bit sceptical, I opted for a tour with Valerio thinking about, it will be always the average tour about an historical city. That was not the case. I've been left speechless after the end of the tour. Valerio's knowledge about the city, his character, the different way of presenting Venice made the tour one of a kind. He was entertaining and full of anecdotes to I was really worried about it but I've been more than happy at the end to have taken it with him. When I left him I was upset because I had just the time to book only one tour with him and not others as I was leaving Venice too early to enjoy it at the full.
