Lots of visitors at a world famous shrine
St Mark's is a magnificent church with a fascinating history. Glad we bought the "skip the line" tix but even our guide remarked that there were more tourists than usual. It was difficult to hear her commentary, which was very detailed and interesting. Plan to see the museum inside St Mark's.

Photos don't do this Basilica Justice!
When we arrived at the meeting point, it seemed veery chaotic, with several groups all there together. Once it was time for the tour, it was all fine - each tour guide had their own channel on the audio guides and we sorted into groups quickly. When we entered the Basilica, I was glad we had opted for a guided tour - there is just so much to take in, and our guide, Lucia, was very knowledgeable about the history of the church and the artwork it contained. We saw both the Basilica itself and the Museum on the upper level. I would have liked to also see the Palo d'oro, but that wasn't an option we could book.

Visiting the off-shore island of Murano
We love the ferry boat that operates between Venice and Murano. It’s easy to find at Venice, the cost is low, and the water is typically calm. The trip to Murano is 20-30 minutes, depending on the amount of other boat traffic and whether to boat stops at the island cemetery and/or cathedral (each worth a visit). Then your rewards are great photo opportunities from the boat and visiting Murano, a quaint island community of homes, shops, glass-blowing, and a museum. The residents are welcoming. The only thing we’ve noticed recently is that prices for glass and other items have increased quite a bit. It seems that Asian and perhaps other visitors are willing to pay more. However, bargaining usually is welcomed and will reduce your costs significantly. We have enjoyed it every time.

A good-paced tour of the cathedral and the museum in an hour
We were looking for skip the like tickets for the next day. (because otherwise the line for free entrance into st mark’s cathedral is hours long in either the sun or rain. You can buy them online from the direct website for the cathedral and it’s only a few euro per person but they sell out a month in advance. So we were willing to pay a higher price for a skip the line ticket.) it turns out we could have bought just the skip the line ticket for 10€/person at the kiosk but we did not know that when we scheduled this tour. So instead we had an hour tour to skip the line into st mark’s (amazing and one of our favorite cathedrals to see) as well as entrance into the museum, which we hadn’t seen, and the loggia of horses or the original 4 horse statues (captivatingly beautiful imo). All of that in an hour. We had earpieces to be able to hear the guide and she was a lovely older lady who awed us in showing that age and stairs were not going to slow her down. The information she gave was great and interesting, though not as much history as my husband likes to hear. But as our children are aged 18, 16, 8, and 3, they would not have been as interested in the historical details. 1 hour seemed like a perfect amount as the 3yr old would not have lasted any longer. But the experience was wonderful. St mark’s cathedral is a favorite because of the age and the glittering gold tiles covering the entirety of the ceiling, but it still contains strong religious themes from the scriptures instead of the emphasis on homages to prominent political figures. In the end, we got to show our children a memorable marvel, see things in the museum new to us, and be done in an hour. And we got to see the dome glitter when the light was turned out that only is turned on in certain occasions. We appreciated that.

      Disappointed
Very disappointing. The gondoliers seemed disinterested in taking us out and argued over who would do it. They were unfriendly, and our boatman did not say more than 6 words to us, these at the end asking if we enjoyed ourselves. Frankly, no. We spent half of the 20 min ride (paid for 30 but whatever) sitting still in the grand canal while other boats zipped by. Then we went down one of the least attractive side canals, clogged with other gondolas, came right back out and were deposited at the dock. I am certain other companies will give you your money's worth. I have seen them.

      Terrible service
The ride was supposed to last 30 minutes and it only lasted 15 minutes. Also the "gondolero" was the whole time in his cellphone while operating the gondola. I complained with the person in charge who only told to contact provider. I called Viator and they addressed properly the situation.

      Private ride on gondola
The gondola ride was good as expected. However we paid €160 booking the trip online with trip advisor when you could just walk up to any of the gondolas and the standard cost was €90. There was absolutely no difference. We had to wait in line like everyone else, but paid an extra €70

      Horrible experience
It was a horrible experience! Never buy online!! You’ll be so overcharged. I paid $211 online for private gondola for 30 minutes prior to going and when I got there, it was $110 and only gave me 15 minutes! Didn’t even give me the full amount of time and I was overcharged to begin with!

      Disappointing
The itinerary was great but there were not enough breaks. The guide was knowledgeable but unfriendly. The organizers were unorganized. Most of them knew nothing about the gondola ride. We were supposed to get lunch recommendations. We did not get any. I would not do this tour with you again.

      Venice.. beautiful Venice!!
Venice was truly magnificent.. the weather didn't deter our excitement and experiences. Our night tour was totally amazing with the streets feeling alive. Then our day tour with Mike..made it all comes to life with Venice's rich history. We totally enjoyed our gondola ride and the company. The restaurants were exceptional and the shopping as well. Wish we had more time here!! Awesome Venice!!

      Interesting
Our guide was fairly decent (most likely a former teacher), knew a lot. Loads of people, large group. Be prepared for many steep narrow steps. MEN NO SHORTS PLEASE, unless they touch bottom of knee!! Held us up.

Time was confusing. No way to catch up to the guide. No attempt to help us.
It said to get there 15 minutes before start and to get there at 2:45 which makes you think it starts at 3. I tried to message someone as the vaporetto transport took more time than anticipated due to wait time and we were a few minutes late. We arrived at 2:59. The left at 2:45 and gave us 6 dollar to tickets to enter and had no way to get us to our guide. The tickets were in no way special and did not get us to any special areas. They need to re write the description to say to get there at 2:30 and they leave at 2:45. Newcomers to Venice may also have issues because google map times do not take into account the wait time to get onto the vaporetto.

The tour guide was a young woman who spoke decent English. She had some ghostly tales and stories that were interesting. Her knowledge of the streets and alleyways were excellent. The only cons were there was a lot of silent time during the walk from point to point where the guide should have been talking about interesting facts of venice and the devices that the guide hand out did not have good headphones. Bring your own wired headphones. You will regret it if u don't.

A nighttime/ evening walking tour of Venice during July is a little cooler and a little less crowded than midday 👍
Stories of local culture and history were interesting but not too creepy or scary. The guide had a tiny bit of trouble with English, you could still understand everything but it limited the effectiveness of storytelling and relaying the creepiness of the tales. Still entertaining though :)

This tour was good for finding your way around the area. We visited the main landmarks which was nice to see a night. The tour guid told us legends of the past through a microphone and head phones. It was ok but not as exciting as expected.

Just finished this tour this evening and it was dreadful. We booked this for a party of 8, and there were approx 10-15 others on the tour. The guide, Graciela, seemed like a nice lady, but she did not tell many stories. She did lead us around Venice at lightning speeds through throngs of people, and wondered why no one could keep up. At one point all but about 3 of us were left behind. We had no idea where she went. She found us a few minutes later, but it was unnecessary. As far as the “ghosts” and “legends”, there were convoluted half stories told as we were racing to a new location. The story would often conclude with a “and sometimes people see a ghost”. It was so bad, it may have scared me off of all ghost tours in the future.

A very disappointing experience. It lasted less than 45 mins. The guide said because of flooding in St Marc's Square she was unable to include 2 of the stories she would have told us about.
She did tell us some interesting stories but we did not cover the itinerary indicated in you online information.
The guide was apologetic but I feel we should have been compensated in some way either by a refund or a voucher for another experience as £25 was a lot for less than half of the walk

If you have a ghost and legends tour you have to be a storyteller. Just stuttering through what you have been told to learn doesn’t qualify. Don’t remind us that these arn’t facts. Put some feeling in to it, make us feel the stories. Perhaps buy a cloak and try some acting. Interesting stories but dead boring was the takeaway now.

Vastly disappointing. We waited in line at the checkpoint just to be told the walking tour, the one thing that set this tour apart, was canceled. The host said they canceled it 2 weeks ago, but we were never informed. Beware!

The walk was a bit different than as advertised - just an hour and only through San Marco and San Polo, but still full of entertaining stories and creepy streets. Our guide was lively and her English was fairly easy to understand. For the price I think it was an excellent value, and I would definitely recommend.

This was ok. The night gondola was amazing, but then you had to wait 1.5 hours for the tour, missing dinner time. There were a few interesting story but most were about dying babies. Moral of the tour, babies cry. Also, this has ALOT of hard walking, after your day of wandering Venice.
