    Superb, Interesting Museum
A superb museum situated at one end of the Galleria Vittorio Emmanuelle ll. There were many great models of Leonardo's designs and a large reconstruction of the Last Supper Painting. You can even try out some of the models like the early paddle boat. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

    Great Leonardo
So much information!! You won’t get this at the actual art sites. They had hands on areas for grownups and kids. Leonardo was truly before his time! I highly recommend this museum!! We spent About 3 hours here and are so happy we went!!!

ok if you have time to kill
small exhibit floor but packed with labels/signage. it was nice to see physical and digital reconstructions of some of his designs, but the interactive displays are quite buggy / laggy / more frustrating than fun. oddly no photographs allowed anywhere. spent about 20 minutes there and felt we saw everything. lots of cigarette smoke from the galleria vittorio getting into the exhibit which didn't help.

Fun visualization of da Vinci's ideas
You see many models of da Vinci's designs brought to life. Each one has an interactive screen you can use to see the path from drawing to model. We arrived very close to opening time, so there were only maybe 20 other people in there. It is located in a small space, so I imagine it gets extremely crowded when busier. Not being able to play with the screens yourself would take away from the fun.

    Amazing
There are so many things created by Leonardo Da Vince that we don't know about. This museum is amazing. I really recommend it.

Mental stimulation on a grand scale.
This museum is a fantastic exploration of Davinci and his mental world. The English audio guide is well worth acquiring for the 3 hour visit. It is an incredible exploration of his varied talents.

Leonardo was born centuries before his time. Everything he has created is amazing for the years in which it was made.
The museum is worth visiting from both small and large. Very well arranged exhibits with good guidance and audio guide.

The Last Supper - a must see !
I have been seeing this image since a small child and I never imagined seeing it live. It was breathe taking and I recommend you stop so experience this piece of historical art.

    Discovering Leonardo
We discovered Leonardo , the artist and inventor. We saw the digital restoration of the Last Supper. We also saw the codices of Leonardo in virtual format on display. As the great inventor, Leonardo's machines are on five main areas - flight, hydraulical and mechanical engineering, the war machines and architecture. Incidentally, 2019 marks the quincentenary of Leonardo's death and the museum is taking part in that celebration.

Exploring the world of Leonardo da Vinci
We easily spend a couple of hours in this interesting museum, dedicated to the works, not the art, of Leonardo da Vinci. It is amazing how much ahead of his time his mind was, with all the ideas he had, most of which were built and implemented centuries later, others remained in his notes only. The museum is small but very well organized. Models of Leonardo's inventions are on display, not much info in English (audioguides are available but we skipped them), except for the interactive screens where you can test your skills and put together, virtually of course, some of his devices. In addition, there is a couple of practical stands. Taking photos is not allowed, I cannot understand why, and you can benefit from the family ticket. The museum was very enjoyable and interesting both to my wife and I, and my teenager son.

Great models, learned a lot, and enjoyable for all ages. Not a big area, but made the best out of it. Just like walking into Leonardo da Vinci’s mind and seeing his thoughts.

    Leonardo Da Vinchi
A museum dedicated to the Da Vinchi genius. It is fascinating what he was creating and made in time he live. Some of that even today is abstract to lots of people. What a mind

    Not what we expected
We thought this museum would be of Da Vinci’s paintings however it is more of his sculptures and designs. Everything is written in Italian and they change an extra €6 for English audio guide (which we didn’t do). Not sure it is worth the money...

    Worth the price of admission
This museum is very intriguing. It is somewhat mind blowing to see all the different , varied things he was involved with. My husband and I spent several hours here, even without the audio and could have stayed longer. There is so much to learn. The models of his creations are so engaging. There are also some interactive screens where you can learn and experiment with assembling the parts of some of his creations. I was especially intrigued with the Last Supper reproduction since we knew we were not going to be able to see the original. This display clearly show the differences between the original and the restored versions and the overlaid screen projections are most educational. I was glad we saw this one, and you can stay in the room as long as you like, and you can observe both versions as well, even if not the original As another reviewer mentioned, you need to leave a passport or credit card at the desk if you chose to take the audio guide with you. I have never had to do this before and did not feel comfortable with leaving these items behind, so we opted for refund on the audio(They don't tell you in advance of that requirement). It might have been interesting but we did fine without it as there is much narrative posted on the walls. Preferred this attraction over the Da Vinci exhibit at the Sforzo Castle.

    What a guy!
So much he could think of for his era. We dropped in to look at his work and we were hugely surprised at the breadth of his thinking. So much ahead of his time let alone the 21st century! A must see.

The Louvre has done it again! With a magnificent array of work by Leonardo Da Vinci, plotted in a way that is brilliant and beautiful, one of a kind works and journal entrees, the crowd control and devil may care attitude towards volume and flow has indeed drawn the luxury factor far away from the intended experience.

The average art fan is usually unaware of their surroundings, the tour groups inevitably clog the walk ways and no one really cares. I'm sure Leonardo would be flattered by the attention, but also disappointed in the disregard for the experience by the museum that seems only interested in total numbers. I could barely move through the throngs of spectators. When finally able to view a work, seconds would pass until being cut in front of by a tour group or couple.

This was by far a very unsatisfying experience and I would only recommend it if you care little about those viewing around you and feel as if you are in a shoulder to shoulder dance club with no music and a free for all mentality. Barely getting to see some of the most influential works of modern man, in this mode can be a good time if that's your thing.

Very good museum, and so interesting to see how far ahead of his time Da Vinci was. What I found most interesting, were the sketches of ideas he had had, and what modern-day objects they have since become. Ticket price was fine considering that the museum is full of original drawings and notebooks.

Disappointed with this exhibit, it is very expensive, audio guide is extra and lockers are €2 so comes in at €21 for quite a small exhibit.
Very cramped on a rainy day and exhibits are all in Italian so English audio guide is needed.
It was quite boring and I would not recommend unless to avoid the rain!

Very enjoyable exhibit. Full size mock-ups of DaVinci's machines, with interactive screens in Italian and English, Nicely presented. I only wish they had a good souvenir book for the exhibit (which they do not have) since photography is not allowed.

Situated in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele shopping centre this small museum focuses on the drawings and designs of Da Vinci along with detailed scale models of them along with interactive exhibits about how they work and relate to modern designs.

Very interesting with exhibits in many languages although small and can be looked around in less than an hour. While not prohibitively expensive at 14 euro a person it certainly isn't cheap.

Worth a visit if you have a spare hour.

Visited as a family of three with our six year old son. The museum was great. It has copies of Da Vinci’s original notes on display, alongside explanations, and reconstructions of many of the things he’d sketched out. It was interesting to see these in real life.

Tip: if you’re not an Italian speaker you have to pay the extra for the audio tour, as 90% of the exhibits have an Italian plaque next to them only. My son really enjoyed the kids audio tour too, when I didn’t think it would hold his attention!

Recommend a visit!

Museum about Leonardo da Vinci are not rare in Italy but this rather small one was quite pleasant and well arranged. Some say it is a bit pricey for it’s size but it is basically in the Galleria which can’t’ be cheap. The museum in Siracusa is more expansive but there were significant unique articles in this one. Young people and older should enjoy it.

It is a very interesting museum. Also the don'thave originals, they have reconstructed several of Leonardo da Vinci's engeneering works. It is an interactive museum and so you can also watch viedeos or interact with screens and look at some plans. Unfortuately, the language of the museum is only Italian, also it would be interesting for the whole world. As it was Saturday, the museum was quite full, although COVID restrictions were still in force.

The museum offers a varied and well-organized vision of some of Leonardo's projects, allowing the visitor to learn about the a priori thought, the use and to see a model of each of the projects in person.
Noteworthy are the interactive stations where it is possible to touch, listen and interact with some of the models on display.
The cost of the ticket (full €15) is proportionate to the very positive experience that this museum offers.

Really interesting and well organized museum. The visit includes many interactive moments also suitable for children (not small children). Entrance control allows you not to find too many crowds inside.
