Not a good tour or tour company
1. We did not meet where instructed, at the store. We meet at the museum entrance.
2. The tour was rescheduled a couple hours later due to something going on in the theater. Why was this a surprise to the organizer?
3. The tour was not the full hour.
4. The guide spoke very fast with no pauses. If you wanted her to repeat or had a question, too bad
Not sure if you can rent an audio guide. I wish I did.

Feb. 2020
The museum is interesting if you're a fan of opera.
I had a guide who spoke English but i found it difficult to understand all she was saying so this was disappointing.
the sound from the headphones was terrible.
she showed very little of the opera house. ok a rehearsal was taking place but in silence we must see La Scala Theatre.

Waste of Time
Oct. 2019
While La Scala is a beautiful building, the tour was virtually worthless. There were too many people, the guide's command of English was weak and we were really unable to see very much. I would not recommend this tour.

Not a highlight
Oct. 2019
La Scala Theatre is a beautiful operahouse. It is a big building and the house has a long music history. The guided tour was a BIG disappointment. The sound from the headphones was terrible. It seemed like the guide was in a hurry and just wanted to be finish as fast as possible to get home or earn money on a new group. We were showed very little of the opera house. No music, just some histories about composters. It was packed with people. We went in que and it was noise with all the talking people and therefore even harder to listen to the guide. A waste of time and money. Do you want to experience La Scala? Save money and go to an opera!

Tour of La Scala.
Sep. 2019
This wonderful opera house is a must to visit. However, it is best to go in and get an audio tour for better English, if that is your language. The tour that is given was substantial, but it was difficult to understand the guide. Also, the orchestra section wasn't covered. But, do see the opera house.

Must see!

Totally cool museum. Highlight is seeing the inside of opera house from one of the box seats, middle tier of six. Great video narrated by architect who did most recent renovation. Quick walk from here to Duomo.

A wonderful personal experience in this world renowned opera house!
Jul. 2019
A "must see" for lovers of classical music - the legendary La Scala: the spiritual home for many of the greatest composers and artists. No tours on this day as there was a Verdi rehearsal on stage including sound and lighting as well, but we were allowed to enter the seating "boxes" at our leisure and observe what was going on - and taking in the magnificent view of the interior.
Take time to visit the museum which hosts a vast collection of costumes, instruments and other musical curios. Walk trough galleries that display busts, paintings and histories of some of classical music's greatest composers, singers and conductors, including Verdi, Puccini, Bellini, Toscanini, Caruso etc - far too many to mention here but the sheer sight of so many of these great artists is enough to send one into a "classical ecstasy" overdrive!!!
Once back in front of the theatre, walk across the square and through Galleria Vittorio Emanuele (avoid looking at the hefty prices in the windows!!!) to reach the majestic Duomo cathedral. But that's another great adventure to explore!
Overall a profound personal experience and another item ticked off my "bucket list".

Waste of Time
Jun. 2019 • Couples
The food tour was cancelled, so we arranged through the hotel for a tour of La Scala, the famous opera house. Overall, the tour was poor conducted. The guide and assistant were very disorganized, the audio system was cheap and difficult to hear, the guide was boring, and the tour was boring. There was an opera rehearsal going on, so we could not even see the main hall or stage. It was a total waste of time and money.
