- T6497LKemilyw0 contributionsVeronaPerfect location for a couples break. We had a fabulous room on 2 levels with a balcony. Mini bar is free and they re-stock full full size bottles of Prosecco each day - ouch for the head!!! But a really good hotel. We were both delighted we picked it for our 40th bdays. And Verona is a stunning cityWritten 21 October 2024
- altullochcampbell0 contributionsDolomitesTourA great tour to the Dolomites with Karen, our knowledgeable, fun guide and Sadie, our excellent driver (much needed on the way up and down the mountains). It is quite a long drive, but the information provided along the way was interesting and the drive up to the Pordoi Pass was eye opening. The scenery was amazing. Unfortunately there was cloud at the top of the mountain so we didn't go up in the cable car but the scenery was wonderful anyway. Other stops included Ortisei which was really lovely. We really enjoyed our day.Written 2 October 2024
- HelandD0 contributionsAll good. Apart from the guide! This did not start well. 5 minutes before we were due at the coach pick up point (7.40) my phone rang at 7.35 and a man's voice was shouting 'where are you, where are you' we were literally 3 minutes away and he roared that they cannot wait. I said give me five mins and we will be there. He then suggested it would take more than 5 minutes 'to come out from the bed' Anyhow we arrived at the bus to more aggression, threats of police due to waiting in the bus stop, more people to collect etc. WE WERE NOT LATE. HE WAS EARLY. We had a nice trip after this although I couldn't converse with him all day after that, he came across as very unfriendly towards us. We booked a boat tour then cancelled it as I didn't want to be around him. His passive aggression didn't sit right with me. Venice is a beautiful city, but the crowds were hard work and you must be very protective of your possessions due to pick pockets. Previous trip to the Dolomites with Helena was fabulous, both driver and guide were excellent, friendly and very professional. Really enjoyed it and both trips were well worth the money.Written 2 October 2024
- karl d0 contributionsBrilliant day out.We had a lovely day out in Venice with this tour. Very well organised tour from start to finish, and the guide Frederico couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful,he was a thorough gent from start to finish and made the day special. I would highly recommend booking a trip with this company.Written 11 September 2024
- joangU3686ED0 contributionsOpera but no tour availableCarmen opera experience was spectacular, amazing venue and seats allowed for a good view, but buying a cushion is highly recommended for a 3 hr opera..if sitting on the stone circle seats. Our only/big disappointment was that we were sold an arena tour and opera package, but instead were given a 1 hour walking tour of Verona ( which we had already done ourselves all day) with our tickets…so we felt we had overpaid for something we didn’t really want. Pity to have missed a historical tour of the arena too.Written 8 September 2024

- DJJonty0 contributionsWell organised and informative day trip to VeniceThe coach picked us up on time near our hotel. The tour guide (Janos?) was friendly, helpful and informative. The short boat trip from the coach park to the centre of Venice gave some great views along the Grand Canal. The walking tour had earphones and was lead by Janos. We had a good amount of free time in the afternoon before travelling back to Lake Garda. Good value for money.Written 5 September 2024

- 834stevenc0 contributionsLovely part of italy to exploreThe lake is bigger than i thought and glad we stayed in Garda as central to all parts of the lake, such a beautiful place to stay with so many restaurants on the front to choose from and very reasonable prices, try the many different ice creams, travelled to quite a few of the many towns on the lake by ferries which make a leisurely way of travelling. August very hot so if you don't like the heat go earlier or later in the year. we took a trip to the dolomites which was lovely and into Verona to watch the opera, both great excursions.Written 25 August 2024
- kathjohnson670 contributionsWorth a visitWorth seeing this, although you cant get round the whole of it, and would probably be good to see a performance. We didn't find you needed to pre book tickets, it was cheaper getting them on the day and we didn't queue too long.Written 19 August 2024
- MrsMandyLinc0 contributionsBeautiful VeniceSo happy we took this tour to Venice! Excellent (air conditioned) coach, picked up bang on time. Wonderful tour guide - Franchesco, who was entertaining the whole time. Once at Venice, you board the ferry boat over. Its amazing watching Venice appear before your eyes! Once you disembark there is an audio tour to St Marks Square & onto the Rialto Bridge, but we left the tour at St Marks and spent the afternoon exploring. We then booked the laguna tour around the smaller islands later on, before the ferry and coach back. Well worth the money for a well informed whistle stop trip to a very beautiful city!Written 13 August 2024
- G3559QVmarionh0 contributionsGreat Day in VeniceEarly start from Lake Garda once on the coach a few more pick ups and then we were on our way. Welcomed by Thomas who gave us so much information about Venice the history and what to do there. Offered a couple of extra activities while on coach gondola ride and a boat tour of Venice taking in all the areas. Would have been good to know about these in advance as only payable by cash. 120 euro for the gondola for the family and the boat trip was 25 euro each. Enjoyed both trips. Had a lovely meal in one of the restaurants on Grand Canal then met up for the walking tour which again gave a lot of history of Venice.Written 12 August 2024
- G3559QVmarionh0 contributionsGreat day in VeronaA truly wonderful day in Verona. Picked up at exactly the right time and welcomed by Thomas on to the coach. After a few more pick ups we were on our way to Verona. On the way Thomas gave us all the information for the day and what would be good to visit and times for our walking tour. This was in English and German fluent in both. We had time to explore on our own and also the walking tour which led us around the town and gave interesting information about the history and took us to Juliet's balcony. Great architecture and the amphitheatre was spectacularWritten 12 August 2024
- 834stevenc0 contributionsIf you like opera then you’re going to enjoy thisPicked up from hotel and driven into Verona city not far from the venue Wow what a place Originally purchased the cheapest seats and when we picked up tickets offered a upgrade for extra 20 euros each in more comfortable seats and very close to the stage Well worth the cost as no speakers or amplifiers so you would struggle to hear live orchestra and actors The setting and opera was amazing but over 3 hours long with 2 intervals If you like opera or it’s on your bucket list then go you won’t be disappointed Take a fan as very hot even late at night Drinks available inside were reasonable pricesWritten 10 August 2024

Fantastic day trip to the Dolomites, well organised and structured.
Our guide Gabriella was great, very knowledgeable and funny too made the trip fantastic. The driver Nico was superb not sure I’d have the nerves to drive those hairpin bends like he did!!
Highly recommend this trip to the Dolomites - great views the whole trip from the bus. Due to foggy weather we couldn’t go on the cable car but was still a great experience with the snow!!
These trips do look like a long day on paper but definitely worth it with plenty stops on the way!!

Bus was 30 mins late and not much space on board but the actual trip was amazing. Guide Gabriella was really engaging, informative, fun and kept long journeys interesting. The cable car up to Pordoi Pass was an extra fee but 1000% worth paying. Unreal scenery, unforgettable day!

We were lucky to have Francesco as our tour guide, he is very enthusiastic and kept a very warm, friendly atmosphere at the bus during the whole ride. He informed us very well about the places we were going to visit and was very informative, everything was clear, how long each stop was, where toilets were available, cash mashines etc. discocunts to buy groceries for the trip. everything was one step ahead! I specially booked this trip as I was traveling with my 65 year old mom who suffers from knie pain and would have otherwise had a hard time climbing the dolomites, this trip was perfect for her as they take you through the beautiful scenery, mountains with very litte effort. I certainly recommed this trip!!

This trip did not permit enough time for anything at all!
The morning coffee stop was at a roadside fuel station that was so busy there was not enough time to get a take-away coffee.
The guide told us that at lake saroga she would check the weather condition and then see how many wanted to go up the cable car at Pardoi Pass. We paid €48 cash for two of us to go up to see nothing but white cloud. The restaurant at the top was so busy there were no seats so we descended to go to the Maria Restaurant recommended by our guide. There was no time remaining to eat so we grabbed a coffee and a toastie which we attempted to consume as the bus driver hurtled around the corners. Our coach left pardoi pass at 1.45pm. This is certainly not enough time to take in any sights / go up in cable car and enjoy a lunch.
When we went over sella pass there were views of the peaks however we couldn’t take photos as we were still being hurtled round corners. Such a shame - even a five minute stop would’ve been appreciated by most of the passengers!
We arrived at Ortosei early and left at 4pm.
We were both very fed up and disappointed. My recommendation to anyone who wants to breathe some mountain air and see the dolomites is not to do this trip. We felt hurried, rushed and herded like sheep.

We recently took the Dolomites Full-Day Tour from Lake Garda, and it was an unforgettable experience! From start to finish, the tour was well-organized, and the breathtaking scenery of the Dolomites left us in awe.
Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, sharing interesting facts about the region’s history, geology, and culture. The comfortable coach ride from Lake Garda to the Dolomites was smooth, and the stops along the way were perfectly timed to soak in the stunning views.
Highlights of the tour included the panoramic vistas of jagged peaks, lush valleys, and charming alpine villages. We had plenty of time to take photos, enjoy short walks, and even savor some local delicacies at a quaint mountain hut. The crisp autumn air and golden foliage in October made the landscapes even more magical.
This tour is perfect for nature lovers and those looking to experience the beauty of the Dolomites without the hassle of planing.

It was an early pick from Desenzano 630. We knew it was going to be a long day but didn’t realise quite how long. The first 2 and a half hours approx we spent picking other people up. Our first stop was for a comfort break and a drink etc. we then drove until about 11 where we had a 15 minute stop at a waterfall, which was pretty. We arrived at the Dolomites about 12.30 ish. The driver of the double decker bus had great driving skills to get up there. We were told the ski lift took 5 mins we should take 10 mins up there and then 5 mins back, although I would say you should allow for waiting times to get on the cable car both ways. Time at the Dolomites 1 hour and 45 minutes in total also allowed for lunch. We then left and drove to a village which we had an hour to ourselves. We then started the long drive back. We arrived 13 and a half hours later back at Desenzano. It was a nice trip but one that I would not recommend from the south of Lake Garda. There was too much time travelling with only an hour and 45 mins at the actual Dolomites. Lovely views which I am sure would have been better for us had it not been cloudy and rainy but even if the weather had been good, 13 and a half hours for one and 45 mins at the destination was not for us. Also the guide nice guy seemed to just talk for talking sake. However I am sure lots of people enjoyed it on the double decker bus with approx 75 people on it and because there was so many people on the bus it meant so many stops to pick up all those people. Sadly the trip was not one we would recommend

This trip was a disaster from the start. The trip should have been cancelled due to the torrential rain downpour. You should have also checked the conditions to know that it was all fogged in up there. We had to wait 30 minutes for the bus after being dropped off by the taxi van. Then we skipped a scheduled stop due to road conditions and stopped in a small town at a little cafe that did not have much to offer. Nothing to see the whole way and stopped for an hour and a half for lunch. Then left there to head back. We ended up getting back 3 hours early and had to wait for taxi vans for another 30 minutes because evidently no one notified them we were coming back early. It was a waste of a day and a waste of money.

This was a really lovely trip. The coach was comfortable and air conditioned. The guide was pleasant and knowledgeable. The scenary was jaw dropping! We particularly enjoyed the cable car ride at Pordoi. We recommend the cafe near the bottom cable car station if you just want a light lunch like a sandwich. The service was fast and efficient, helpful when you are on a time limit. We would recommend this trip as it would be difficult to do this itinerary yourself. Bring a fleece or jacket if you are going to use the cable car.

Firstly, the overall experience was great. The views along the way and at the stoppoints were beautiful. Then the timing was more reasonable. Thirdly, I really appreciated that the guide and driver dropped me off at a nearby train station so that I could catch the train in time.
Lastly, one very bad thing is that I contacted the contact details they provided many times a day in advance (asking for two important details) without any answer. The next day I waited at the appointed place (along with a couple, thankfully) but the bus never came and they ended up parking at a nearby bus station without anyone informing me in advance. As you can imagine, I was likely to miss the trip, luckily the couple received a phone call after that and we found out.

We joined the tour at Malcesine (just outside it, opposite the Excelsior hotel) just before 8am
After leaving the lake we started to climb and could see the mountains start to appear. Note: I started to take pictures. Leave it until you get out of the bus! These are just the foothills.
After a stop for coffee we continued on before our first picture stop.
Go down from the road on to the grass to get better pictures.
We went on up winding roads that gave us views down the valley. Then we really started to climb, up to the pordoi pass. A chance to bit of lunch, take pictures, and take the cable car even higher - 3000m
At the top there are paths to stroll around and take in the views. They really are breathtaking.
Back to the bus and down through little towns with their traditional designed housing before a stop for apple strudel and coffee and to look at the wood carvings.
Then it was back to Malcesine, being left off around 6pm
Our guide provided a commentary all day, and I have to say that it became more entertaining as the day progressed.
This was a super trip and I'd recommend strongly. The views are so spectacular.
You do sit on a bus for quite a bit of the day but even then you can just look out the window and be amazed by the scenery.
Don't forget - take pictures at the stops and just enjoy the views as you drive along
