      Great family cooking experience
      This is a great cooking class. We did it with our 10 year-old son who absolutely loves pesto and wanted to learn to make it himself. He did and we learned to make fresh pasta as well— great experience and will be useful for years to come, too!

      A Tasty Culinary Adventure
      My friends and I had such a nice time preparing our meal with Tomaso and his daughter. Their hospitality was top notch and their passion for Genoese cuisine was evident. I have been The quality of the ingredients and the instruction on technique was also excellent. I highly recommend this experience (Ligurian Delights, from focaccia to tiramisu)

      We spent an evening with Tiziana and Robert in their lovely home. It was a beautiful experience and the food she showed us how to make was fantastic! She showed how to make tiramisu and ravioli. We started with the tiramisu so it could set and then went on the ravioli. We made the dough from scratch and she showed us how roll it out and fill it. It was so delicious in the walnut sauce!! And after was the tiramisu which was the best we have ever had. In between the tiramisu and ravioli we were also treated to delicious appetizers and Prosecco. Everything was perfect and they were the best hosts. I recommend booking this class 100%!!! Enjoy!

      Wild pesto mix is pounded in mortar and pestle
      Making Pesto at a chef's kitchen is a highpoint of cooking in Genoa. Pesto is made with wild basil leaves and olive oil; it's part of the meal to have it with basil, pine nuts, garlic and parmesan cheese, with a dash of natural olive oil. The wild ingredients are pungent; they are mixed and pounded together in a mortar and pestle, The wild ingredients are pounded strongly and used to accompany pasta, such as spaghetti.

      Fantastic Italian Culinary Experience
      Should you find yourself in Genoa, please enjoy an amazine culinary experience with hosts, Tiziana and Roberto. My son, daughter and I shared the evening learning to make tiramisu, ravioli pasta and sailor's biscuit. Tiziana and Roberto were warm and welcoming, and made us feel at home in theirs. Not only did we enjoy the food we prepared, but were also treated to delicious wine, coffee, and focaccia bread, as well as Tiziana's signature pesto sauce, which will certainly have a great run at the Pesto World Championships this year (she has our vote!). Even with a very slight language barrier, the conversation flowed and new friendships were formed (food is a universal language, after all). We cannot recommend this experience enough to those who enjoy delicious food, great company, and fine Italian culture. Thank you Tiziana and Roberto!

      Never book this!!!
      We signed up for the class and were very excited to take a class on cooking in Italy. We choose it because we could learn in English as we did not speak very much Italian. When we arrived, the two people who greeted us used an app to translate since they didn’t speak any English. We explained it was difficult to learn a cooking method if we couldn’t communicate and needed an app which would be difficult to use while cooking with our hands. We explained that it was booked because it would be in a language we understood and wished to just cancel. The woman became irate and rude. The man understood and agreed to the refund. We left and asked for a refund through the app but was told by the company that they would not refund us even though the person we booked it with agreed to the refund. This was a terrible way to end our trip in Italy and is the worst mistake we made on our honeymoon. Awful way to run a business that should be about having a great time enjoying great food!!

      Just book it!
      This was the very best experience! Daniela was a generous, gracious host, and she was eager to share her techniques and favorite ingredients for her recipes. My husband and I strongly recommend this experience! Thank you for offering it and thank you to Daniela for the delicious food! We only wish our stomachs were able to fit more!

      Gnocchi and tiramisu with a side of racism
      Don’t go on tour if you’re a POC….we got to the hosts house and she told us she thinks there are too many black people in the city… The market is lovely but the host barely speaks English so we were in silence most of the tour. It was cool to make gnocchi and tiramisu in an authentic kitchen. We went back to her house and she is a great chef, but I could not get over how uncomfortable I felt once she made her views on black people in Italy extremely clear. I told her that I strongly disagree and she doubled down on her stance. We left her home shortly after. This opinion is extremely offensive and harmful and this should be taken into consideration when booking.

      Highlight of our cruise!
      Tiziana and Roberto welcomed us into their home and we’re some of the kindest people we have ever met. Tiziana taught us to make traditional ravioli using the pasta machine that her mother taught her on when she was young. The food was incredible and so was the conversation. The conversation got so good we both whipped out Google Translate so we could thoroughly explain to each other. Josie and I had never done this before but it was very easy and entertaining. We are on a 10 day Mediterranean cruise and this adventure was the best highlight so far! Thank you Tiziana and Roberto!

      A great day in Genoa!
      A very good experience. Andrea and Barbara were excellent hosts. We truly enjoyed making and eating tarimisu and ravioli. Our lunch included additional food prepared by Andrea. There were only 2 of us in the group, which made for a very personal experience and gave us time to get to know Andrea and his mother. Thank you!!!

      Great cooking experience.
      Tizana and Roberto were warm and welcoming from the first moment we net them. Learning and cooking alongside Tizana was enlightening, fun and an experience my husband and I will remember. A wonderful experience that we highly recommend!!

      A Delicious Once in a Lifetime Experience!
      This experience with some thing that me and my wife will remember forever. We came here on our honeymoon and Roberto and Tiziana were such amazing hosts. We were first spoiled with homemade focaccia bread and delicious Italian wine upon arriving. We were welcomed into their home, as if we were family, and we truly felt the love from the very moment they opened the door. We made Tiramisu, ravioli, and pesto, lasagna. The recipe and instructions were very easy to follow. The food, was incredible. Me and my wife can never really look at Italian food the same after this experience. They used such a simple ingredients yet, they were cooked with so much love that they tasted, absolutely perfect. Tiziano was patient and kind with us while showing us the techniques to properly make the food. Roberto documented the whole thing with his phone and our phone to get multiple angles and video to go along with the photos. They also sent us every video and picture that they took on their devices as well. We had great documentation of our wonderful time we had with them. While the food was cooking, we sat down with Roberto and ate the first course of the meal, and he explained the history of Genoa to us. It was very interesting to learn about the area we were in. We found out more history about them and their beautiful home. As our time with them closed, Roberto gave us the gift of his knowledge and expertise of Genoa and Portofino for our future travels. He told us where to go in Genoa to get the best experience and to not waste money on the bus tours or taxi services. He showed us how to see the city within a reasonable walking distance. We ended up seeing so much more of Genoa than I think we would have if we were just sitting on a bus being driven around town. His recommendations for Portofino restaurants were absolutely incredible. We ended up going to a wonderful Italian restaurant, as well as a gelato shop in Portofino upon his recommendation. These places were truly a sight to behold. We had a wonderful time with them and look forward to keeping in touch with them. Hopefully we will be visiting them again in the future. This experience is truly worth its price and much more. Me and my wife highly recommend visiting these wonderful people.

      Amazing experience
      We had a wonderful day with Tiziana and Roberto in Genoa. They were such warm and welcoming hosts, and they really took the time to teach us about Italian cuisine. We started the day at the market, where Tiziana and Roberto showed us the freshest ingredients that would be used in our dishes. Then, we headed back to their home, where we cooked zucchini flowers, gnocchi with pesto, tagliatelle with tomato, and tiramisu. Tiziana and Roberto were knowledgeable and took time to explain each step of the cooking process, and they were always happy to answer our questions. We had a lot of fun in the kitchen, and we learned a lot about Italian cooking. The food we cooked was delicious! The zucchini flowers were light and flavorful, the gnocchi with pesto was incredible, and the tagliatelle with tomato was simple but perfect. The tiramisu was the perfect end to the meal. I would highly recommend this cooking lesson to anyone who is interested in learning about Italian cuisine. Tiziana and Roberto are a great team, and they will make you feel welcome and comfortable in their home.

      A true Genovese experience! My daughter and I were thrilled!
      Our host Tomasso and Nico were accommodating and thoughtful. I’m looking forward to trying the new recipes! The extra bonus was meeting Nonna!
