Together with your guide, you will go to Basilica of San Pietro in Vincoli, where the chains with which St. Peter was held prisoner are kept. The origins of this basilica are very ancient. Next, we will see the Basilica of San Clemente, brought to light during the excavation work begun at the end of the 1800s. The last attraction of our tour is Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano, the cathedral of Rome. It is the mother and head of all the churches of Rome and the world. On the left side of the piazza is the Scala Santa: according to tradition, it is the same that Jesus went up to the Praetorium of Pontius Pilate. In the right corner of the piazza is the Baptistery, built by Constantine, where it is said that he was baptized by San Silvestro.

    Marvellous on every level.
Our guide, Ilaria, was absolutely marvellous. So knowledgeable, enthusiastic and accommodating. She opened our eyes to so much more than we expected and we learnt a great deal. Views were spectacular and not to be missed. Feel very privileged to have had this experience.

    Unique tour. Highly recommend!
A great tour, we loved every minute of it! Domus Tiberiana has absolutely amazing views and is an interesting building in itself, a unique testimony to the greatness of ancient Rome. I highly recommend taking this tour!

Exceptional tour with incredible guide and driver!
EXCEPTIONAL! We booked this on a whim for our last evening in Rome. We had been doing walking tours all over London, Paris and Rome in the days leading up to this and we just needed a relaxing way to see some highlights we had not had a chance to get to. The tour was flexible and allowed us to name our sights and they added a few expert recommendations and surprises for us as well. It is a hop on/hop off tour so your don’t merely drive by. Our guide was Elaine (very knowledgeable and fun) and driver was Alex and they were in incredible combo! We just can’t say enough about how perfect this tour was. At the end they dropped us off where we wanted (within reason) - which happened to be dinner! Our driver Alex got us a great table at an excellent restaurant (he also worked there so had an in) and we had the best meal. 10/10 would recommend this to anyone!

    AMAZING 2 extraordinary VIP tours!
We had an extraordinary experience with this company, so much so that we ended up booking TWO tours and want to do more, big thank you to Micheal who helped us navigate every step of our TWO bookings! Do yourself a favour be a true VIP, skip those long lines, get access where other don’t, it’s truly worth it. Enriched and soak up all of the knowledge and stories you will here by our new found friends Rita and Carmelo! Our lovely Rita started us off with a bang during our tour of everything Vatican, her knowledge, enthousiasme and ability to connect with everyone was phenomenal, hats off to Rita, she is definitely one in a million. She works hard at making sure to meet everyone wish’s, pace and interests, she adapted to us while doing what she does best, sharing all of her anecdotes and stories with us! Our second tour was as great as our first, talk about a story teller! our VIP coliseum tour was with no other than Carmelo who was an absolute gem. It reinforced our choice to chose this company tour amongst all of our options, there are lots! Carmelo couldn’t have done more, he was our guide, photographer, story teller, answered all of our questions and even more….he provided us with restaurant recommendations, places to go and things to do and see, all of it with humour, a smile and interest. Hats off to you both, you are very good at what you do! Special Thank you again to Rita, Carmelo AKA Carmelito for making this part of our trip to Italy memorable!

We greatly enjoyed our tour of mysteries and legends in Rome. Donatella is very knowledgeable about the history of the churches we visited, and showed us the more hidden paintings and sculptures in them. She also has a great sense of humor and love for her subject. We were especially fascinated by the Clement villa/church, a four-layered archeological "lasagna", starting deep underground where there are the recently uncovered remains of ancient pagan mystery temples, a Roman Empire period mint, on up to a modern Catholic Church, all built on top of each other. Near the end of the tour we were exhausted so Donatella kindly bought us coffee and thus fortified, we finished at the astonishing Basilica of St. John Lateran which is overlooked in favor of St. Peter's. We needed a taxi back to our hotel and Donatella mysteriously summoned one on the spot. Because of Donatella we fell in love with the mysterious and legendary places we visited and hope to return to them someday.

Dear Gregory, Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed review! We’re thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the tour and that Donatella's passion and knowledge made such a positive impact on your experience. We're glad to hear that the coffee break helped recharge your energy and that you were able to finish your tour at the stunning Basilica of St. John Lateran. Donatella has a knack for making every moment special, even summoning taxis with a touch of mystery! We hope to welcome you back for more adventures in Rome! Thank you once again for your kind words!
