About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Ossiss1710 contributionsFamily friendlyI really enjoyed the tour and my kids were very involved and enjoyed it as well. My only concern is that the listing says the tour was 3 hours long and it was only 2 hours, for the price I would have expected the entire 3 hours.Written 2 December 2024
- marjeriek0 contributionsThis tour is a must to skip the line and not deal with bored kids! Book it!This tour was perfect for our kids! It was fun and engaging, plus you skip the long lines that for us was a must! The guide was very patient and knowledgable. We will book another tour with them once we come back to Rome , our kids still talk about Claudia.Written 2 December 2024
- F9028VZkateb0 contributionsWill always book a tour guide nowRosie our guide was brilliant! She kept the kids engaged with stories and also new the right time when to move on to ensure she kept their attention. I was worried at first as the price of the tour was expensive v doing it alone but it was worth every penny! The line skipping especially!!!Written 30 October 2024
- robsinger240 contributionsFamily tour with 2 kidsIt was our first time inside the Colosseum. Though it was a good tour, it was pretty long, especially for our kids (9 and 6) and by the time we got to the Forum, they were pretty much done. The voice over from the guide was more oriented to the adults and most of the kids on the tour were not paying much attention, especially toward the end. Highly recommend bringing some food and water, especially for the kiddos.Written 26 October 2024
- P H0 contributionsCapitoline Done Right With Kids!We had a wonderful tour with Alessandra at the Capitoline Museum. We were six adults and six children (14 and under) visiting the museum for the first time. Alessandra kept the kids engaged and entertained with games and a competition between the kids and adults (the kids won!). We can’t recommend this company enough. We hire them every time we are in Rome!Written 23 October 2024
- P H0 contributionsThe Only Company We Use in Rome!Once again Donato was a wonderful guide at the Coliseum and Forum. He has been with us on several tours, (because we request him) and he did not disappoint, again. We had our daughter, husband, and their three young children. He kept them engaged and entertained the whole time, while still making it interesting to us adults too. Highly recommend this company. They are our go-to company every time we visit Rome!Written 23 October 2024
- Coastal6166380 contributionsBest Family Experience in Rome! Our tour was in August 2023 and I have had it on my to do list to write this review because of how positive of an experience we had. We still talk about it! Our tour was incredible! Donato was an amazing tour guide. Our three kids under 6 years old were captivated by all the stories and unique interactive activities we did during our tour of the coliseum and roman forum. They stayed interested for hours (which never happens)! I would highly recommend this tour for those traveling with young children and a multi-generational family group.Written 20 September 2024

- maryrE6380BL0 contributionsA must for the Grandkids!Hubby and I brought our 5 Grandchildren and we had the most wonderful experience. They laughed, swam, relaxed (61 degree room) and made friends at the pool. We used the convenient rec room for the microwave and vending machines. They we're so excited to have their own Cabana! Great staff and beautiful rooms! Thank you Dunes, we will be back!Written 29 July 2024
- MinnesotanMom0 contributionsPhenomenal Guides, Favorite Part of the Trip, a must do!We booked 3 tours with “Rome Tours for Kids”: the Vatican, Colosseum and a walking tour in the evening with Pizza and Gelato. All three were absolutely phenomenal! We had been to the Vatican and Colosseum before but by far had the best experience with this company! We booked directly with them. Their communication was absolutely excellent, the guides were prompt and they answered every question and then some. The guides do an outstanding job of engaging the children…we had (2) 10 year olds, (1) 11 year old and (2) 13 year olds. As they got to know our kids they further tailored their approach to them. (E.g. our kids love mythology and Percy Jackson so they pointed out things that had connections to that). It was very hot but our guides kept us all engaged the entire time and were always finding ways to seek out shade well enjoying the sites. They also helped us skip all the lines…it couldn’t have gone any better. Out of our entire 12 day vacation to 3 counties these tours were everyone’s top highlights of the entire trip! Well worth the price.Written 23 July 2024
- BrendaJ2400 contributionsFun for the whole familyWonderful! Kept my kids (9 and 6) entertained and was very informative. My husband who has been to Rome and the Colosseum many times before said he really enjoyed the tour and learned something new! Highly recommend! Bring bottled water if you visit during the summer!Written 10 July 2024
- 647cassys0 contributionsAnother amazing tour wit Rome tours with KidsAnother amazing tour wit Rome tours with Kids. This is the 3rd time we use them while in Italy with my family and we are in love. The guide was great, despite the heat and crowds , we skipped the lines and explore the museums. The Sistine Chapel was just WOW. I cannot imagine going to the Vatican without a guide. 100% worth the money spentWritten 10 July 2024
- hartomine0 contributionsAverage tour for familiesAlthough this tour was targeted for families with kids, we were disappointed in the presentation. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, but the stories and facts could have been presented in a way that engaged the children better. She spent too much time on the periphery of the Colosseum and showing pictures in her binder. I think there was a missed opportunity for storytelling. We had to break rank with the group just to look out over the arena floor at eye level. I acknowledge that the crowds make it difficult to keep everyone engaged, but a few days later, we took a family tour in Pompeii that was excellent and by comparison, felt that our Colosseum tour had many missed opportunities for fun and education.Written 7 July 2024
- travelfamily0040 contributionsBest kid-friendly tour of the VaticanRossella took our family through the wonders of the Vatican museum. She engaged the four young children in our group with tales of Greek and Roman myths and their connections to the art and architecture of this amazing place. Her warmth and ability to connect with the kids was exceptional. She made the Vatican come alive and kept the group's interest throughout the whole tour. Everyone loved her. Families, take this tour!Written 30 June 2024
- travelfamily0040 contributionsExtraordinary Tour of the Colosseum for ChildrenMarco is an extraordinarily gifted tour guide. The children in our group were totally captivated by his story of the Colosseum, told with great humor, energy and drama. He engaged each child and made them feel like they were part of history. Both the children and adults in our family loved it. This tour is a must for families with children in Rome.Written 30 June 2024
