About
Discover Italy through pizza by joining a small-group guided pizza experience in Rome! When people think about Italy, one of the first things that come to their mind is pizza! Learn how pizza is made different throughout Italy, and there is not one particular right or wrong way of making it in an approximately 3-hour pizza tour and 'make your own' pizza class. Taste different types of pizza and find out what kind of pizza you like the most. Finally, with the knowledge that you learn from the pizza-making class, you will recreate these at home!

Savor Italy Tours was incredibly disappointing and a huge waste of time and money. We were quite unhappy with the purchase we made for our tour. It was an unpleasant experience where we definitely did not receive the value of our money spent. First off, we were told the tour began at 9:30. We were given no instructions on where to meet for the beginning of our tour so we took it upon ourselves to send an email the day before asking for more information. We were then told in a response from the tour: “see you at 11.” Very disorganized and unprofessional. What a mess. Had we not sent that email we would’ve had nowhere to meet and the wrong meeting time. Secondly, When we did show up at the meeting point given our tour guide said she was a substitute and had never led this tour before. We should have been told this in advance so we could decide ourselves whether or not we wanted to continue with the tour. It is extremely aggravating and disappointing to be given false advertisements from the website. The tour guide was very nice but did not give us the tour information we were told to expect.

Thank you Ethans for taking time and writing the review. I'm very sorry for the confusion of the voucher and a glitch in our system to show the earlier start time. As soon as we are aware of that, we sent out several emails to inform people who booked this tour of that. Your guide assigned to your tour is not a substitute, and I think there is a misunderstanding. There was a different guide assigned to the tour that day but he was sick so your guide was called into work. She has done pizza classes, and many pizza tours related before, and is very knowledgeable about Italian food with a culinary background and as a result, many customers liked her. For about 65 Euros per person, you got to go and eat at 4 different famous pizzerias in Rome, and make your own pizza from scratch with a pizza chef, and the guide and also the established pizza chef explained to you about history of pizzas, different flour, different types, the dos and don't when making pizzas...( a professional pizza chef working at a famous restaurant teaching the pizza class to you and he s been doing for years will for sure 100% have all your questions covered, and when we asked always several times do you have any questions, you didn't state you have any questions at all ) I am not sure if for some reasons you were not paying attention during the tour or you just wanted to find a reason to complain to get the tour for free, otherwise , you will write a bad review ( We have customers like this once in a while ). I am very sorry that you are not 100% satisfied with your tour, and we could offer you to do this tour again in the future with a different guide and completely free of charge and we hope that you wont find anything to complain then, but a full refund now since you already did the tour, took the class with a well established pizza chef on how to learn how to make pizza from class hands on, is not fair. I'm very sad to hear this, but we sold what we advertised and I am sorry if you were not paying attention during the tour, but all that you complained was explained not only once but twice first by the guide, second by the pizzaiolo. We have been doing these classes for years, and the pizza chef isn't new to this and so was the guide. Thank you again for taking your time to write the review.

We went to some pizza places that we would have never found on our own, and they were all different but delicious! The best part was making our own pizza the traditional way without a rolling pin and was shown how to artistically decorate our own pizza with whatever we liked! We had a great chef that day that makes the pizza making class seems so easy and something we could do at home on our own. Overall, great fun experience! 5 stars.
