Meet your private driver at your hotel or accommodation in Rome and depart towards the Southern part of Tuscany at 8am.
On arrival, stop to see the Tuscan villages of Castelmuzio and Montisi, and learn more about the region's most prized delicacy — the white truffle. Tuck into a light lunch of truffles and champagne in Montisi, before continuing through the scenic Val D'Orcia to Montalcino.
Enjoy time to stroll around the medieval town, then head to a traditional wine temple to sample Montalcino's famous Brunello wine, said to be 'the king of reds and the red of kings'. During your wine tasting, learn how Brunello was developed by Ferruccio Biondi Santi more than a century ago, is produced exclusively within the Montalcino territory, and is made from Sangiovese Grosso grapes, aged for four years in wooden casks.
At the end of the tour, relax on the 2.5-hour drive back to your hotel in Rome. The duration of the tour is about 10 hours and you can expect to be back at your hotel around 6pm, depending on local traffic.
