Overview

If you’re intrigued by ancient Rome and would like to learn more, go that bit deeper with a tour led by an archaeologist guide. Besides skip-the-line access, enjoy expert insights and fascinating tales of myth and history as you explore Rome’s three key ancient sites: the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. A small group means ample time for questions.

What to Expect

Greet your guide and small group near the Colosseum and skip past the long lines to this world-famous arena. Learn about the bloody games that were held here and capture classic photos.

Next, explore the Roman Forum, the epicenter of daily life in Rome. Discover the stories behind structures like the House of the Vestal Virgins, the Temple of Saturn, and the Basilica Julia.

Climb to the top of the Palatine Hill and learn its role in the legend of Rome’s founding. Explore the remnants of the Stadium of Domitian, the ruins of the Flavian Palace, and the Baths of Caracalla. Finish your tour besides the Colosseum, full of a new understanding of ancient Rome.

You will have to ask the tour operator. Underground chamber tour tickets are hard to come by. And not all operators get the tickets as they are doled out weekly to different operators.
