Louisa was an excellent tour guide around the castle. We were lucky that we ended up as the only two on the tour so it was a very intimate experience allowing me to ask many questions. What really made the tour special was that Louisa took us to the Pope’s Sunday blessing in St Peter’s Square after the castle tour and stayed with us until it concluded.

The tour was great, we were only 3 people so we could interact with the guide more easily. One thing to know is that the passetto di borgo was closed for restauration (May 2019) so we didn`t get to walk in it as promised in the tour but I guess that`s not the company`s fault. However they should specify it in the "what to expect" information.

Had been here on a Holy Saturday after our visit to St.Peters Basallica. ( 20th of April 2019 ).
The Mausoleum of Hadrian, usually known as Castel Sant'Angelo, is a towering cylindrical building in Parco Adriano, Rome, Italy. It was initially commissioned by the Roman Emperor Hadrian as a mausoleum for himself and his family. The building was later used by the popes as a fortress and castle, and is now a museum.

Although the castel was lovely. The woman at the reception was very rude. She was no help at all, I have been to many places but she was the most rudest receptionist I encountered.

Dear Guest, if you are talking about the receptionist inside the Sant'Angel Castel, she is not from our company and we can not do anything about her behavior with the guests. For us, the MEATOURS & EVENTS company, the guests and their necessities are the priority, from the check-in moment at the meeting point with our members of staff and with our guides during the tour. Thank you Best Regards MeaTours & Events

Was the last tour of our 8 day trip and was the favorite of all.. Thunderstorm rolled in right at the time of us meeting which made it all the more exciting, but cleared by the time we got on the roof thankfully! :)
Georgio of Raphael tours was awesome and very knowledgeable about the Castel...Tour wasn't overly long but still covered everything we needed to know, we did skip over the armory which by boyfriend would have like to see but regardless was thouroughly enjoyed by our group of 3!

The tour was cancelled the day before by the operator via email, as they had taken too many bookings! We booked in may and checked availability at the time. Rang Viatours who are the operator who told us they had booked too many people and that was it. They offered us the next day however we are on another tour. The customer service was basic and unhelpful bearing in mind we are in Rome and have spent over £400 with them on yours this week. Stay clear and search for a reputable company to get your tour.
