- Mobile020398897790 contributionsUnforgettable Capri Boat Tour with Captain Damiano! We had the most amazing time on our shared tour of Capri with Captain Damiano! From start to finish, the day was absolutely perfect. We truly appreciated the insightful commentary Damiano provided throughout the trip and the stunning spots he introduced us to. Stopping to swim was a definite highlight—such a refreshing way to cool off under the sunny skies! The scenery was breathtaking, and my guys had an amazing time sitting up top on the deck, sipping champagne, and taking in the view. It was the perfect way to relax and enjoy the stunning beauty of Capri. We’ll be sharing our wonderful memories and recommending this tour to everyone we know!Written 9 December 2024
- Jungleanimallover0 contributionsGreat experience! Our small group tour was a great experience! We toured in a light rain on our day in Capri with two other couples and Captain Roberto. First, we circled the island and took photos then we rode a bus to Anna Capri and stood in line to catch the lift. Unfortunately, the rain steadily increased and the lift was shut down. While on the boat we were served light beverages which were very nice. Great way to tour the island.Written 3 December 2024
- KarenM93290 contributionsAmazing and unforgettable private tour of the Isle of CapriWe had an unforgettable private tour of the Isle of Capri with our wonderful guide, Paola. The day began with a ferry ride from Sorrento over to Marina Grande and then a breathtaking private boat tour around the entire island, where Paola’s insights made every sight even more captivating. Seeing the island’s famous landmarks from the water, with the stunning cliffs, famous grottos and turquoise waters, was simply magical. Afterward, we drove up the famous “Mamma Mia” road to reach Anacapri, where Paola continued to impress us with her extensive knowledge, humor, and easy-going style. She made the trip both educational and incredibly enjoyable. The chairlift up to Mount Solaro provided unbeatable views, and it felt like we were on top of the world! From there, we explored the luxury side of Capri, enjoying the island’s upscale charm and stunning vistas. Paola’s guidance made every stop memorable, and her passion for Capri was contagious. This private tour was truly the best way to experience Capri without the hustle of large tour groups, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide to bring it all to life! Grazie Paola, we highly recommend you and Mondo Guide Day Tours!Written 7 November 2024

They made sure we were safe. we didn’t do the entire trail but views were 👍Scenery was magnificent, Guides were great, poles were provided, met up as described and was close to our hotel. Most of all they spoke up when our ability didn’t match the trail and kept us safe. We still had a fabulous dayWritten 1 November 2024
- Z1684PLsuzannev0 contributionsBoat tour of a lifetime! The boat tour of Capri was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. Staff were professional and made us feel safe throughout the voyage. From the moment we arrived at the Sorrento marina until return, the service was exceptional. Seeing Capri from the water is the best experience of all as the boat captain took us to parts of the island that were incredible. The last stop was extra special as we swam off the boat in the beautiful Mediterranean water! We will remember this tour for life!Written 29 October 2024

- cynthiadG5953FB0 contributionsBest tour of our trip! The highlight of our trip was this boat tour with Damiano and Anthony. They created a super fun and educational day for us as they were a great team. The Blue Grotto is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and we lucked out with fabulous weather! Exploring Capri and Anacapri was really fun, but the best part was our time on the boat with Damiano and Anthony. They kept us entertained, brought us to a beautiful swimming spot, and finally, the play list we listened to while cruising around was PERFECTION! All-around outstanding tour! We would HIGHLY recommend.Written 20 October 2024

- 676AliceS0 contributionsWonderful tour, pricy, but worth every pennyThis was a fantastic day trip! Our guide, Andrea, was wonderful, very friendly and knowledgeable. We took the hydrofoil from Sorrento and met our captain who took us for a perfect tour by boat around the island. Had a small bus take us to a lovely restaurant for lunch, another ride to take the chairlift, which is so worthwhile, the views from the top are spectacular! The perfect way to visit Capri if you only have one day😊Written 18 October 2024
- 42binx0 contributionsCapriRoberto was fantastic. We had 11 folks in the group. Everybody had a great time. He was the first To arrive at blue Grotto. We have minimum wait. Also, circle around the island showing us great sites explanation. We had a wonderful swim. Champagne and Peroni beer big plus. The boat was very clean well-maintained and very stable. Everybody felt right amount of space. Not crowded at all. Great yacht experience. Highly recommended!Written 18 October 2024
- Quest2945070 contributionsA wonderful way to experience Capri! This was our first time to the Amalfi coast and a wonderful way to experience Capri in 1 day. There were 4 people in our party and only 7 other passengers making it a nice intimate tour group. Our captain and tour guide were very knowledgeable and friendly. Unfortunately, given that it was October, the weather wasn't the greatest so the waters were too choppy to go all around the island. However, we were lucky enough to be able to go into the Blue Grotto and only had to wait a couple of minutes! When we got to Capri, they provided us with tasty caprese sandwiches for lunch. We had four hours to explore the island ourselves and then they had champagne, beer, and drinks for our boat ride back to Sorrento. We had a really great experience with Mondo Guide Tours and would use them again in the future!Written 14 October 2024
- G7864OAronb0 contributionsExceptional Tours for our first time visiting Sorrento, Capri, and the Amalfi CoastMy wife and I took this tour along with a private boat tour of the Amalfi Coast. Our guides for the two trips, Paola and Roberto, were wonderful guides! Both were very pleasant and had great senses of humor. They shared lots of history and interesting information about the region and the cities we visited. The tours included planned stops along with time for sightseeing. Plus, the restaurants they recommended were both exceptional. In addition, Dario and Vincenzo provided service that went above and beyond! I highly recommend this team and their tours!!Written 11 October 2024

This was the second trip that we used their services and I can’t find the words to let them know how much I appreciated their assistance, guidance, advice, availability, and support on every one of our trips and excursions. We used them to book transfers to/from the airport, as well as excursions. Even though we have never met face-to-face, I consider them my Italian "familia" and will always rely on them for all of our future travels. A+++ I highly recommend them for travel bookings.Written 9 October 2024

The views of the coast and cliff side towns were amazing on the sunny day we did our tour. Pietro our driver did an excellent job navigating the traffic and narrow roads. I rented a car to go to/from our Airbnb outside of Sorrento (with an amazing view of Capri), but I would never drive the Amalfi coast myself. Driving the roads in and out of Sorrento with a manual transmission was enough of a challenge (and also kind of fun!)
There was adequate time on the tour to see the three towns of Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello. However, Positano and Amalfi were very crowded with tourists and prices were high in the souvenir shops. We found better deals in Amalfi, than in Positano.
Our guide was entertaining and provided some interesting facts about the area but the highlight of the tour was our free time in each of the towns. I recommend you study what you want to see in each town and spend your time productively in each place.

We enjoyed this trip. Micheline was enthusiastic, organised and entertaining. She was also very safety conscious which was reassuring.
Despite the hair- raising twists and turns of the route, we felt very safe in the hands of our driver Pietro who ensured a very smooth journey.
We chose to do a day trip because we had seen that the local service buses were very busy with long queues. Also, we were keen to see Ravello and not all the trips include this (many for Positano and Amalfi but not Ravello). We were so glad we included Ravello - it was beautiful and much quieter than Amalfi and Positano.
We felt there was enough time to fully appreciate each place.
We were very fortunate with beautiful clear sunny weather to enhance the stunning views.

Mondo Guide did such a wonderful job from start to finish with my Amalfi Coast tour that I couldn't wait til I could write this review! When I first emailed them with multiple questions about the tour I was so impressed with how organized and detailed they were in answering each one of my questions. So professional. I was anxious about the special pickup and drop-off requirements for my family but worked with me the whole way and made the day an absolute dream. Our driver Tomasso was on time and always where he needed to be through the day. Our guide Salvatore is who really made the trip one we will remember forever. In Amalfi, he took us straight to the most scenic overlook spot and then let us enjoy ourselves in the town square. In Ravello, he showed us gorgeous ceramics shops and got us to the most beautiful viewpoints for photos. Finally he took us to a wonderful scenic restaurant in Scala, off the beaten path, somewhere we never would have known to go without a guide, and we enjoyed a fantastic lunch for a very reasonable price. All in all I cannot recommend Mondo Guide more highly for helping you organize your trip, especially if you have any special requirements. 10/10

Perfect amount of time at each stop! Our guide Andrea was fabulous! He was considerate, personable, entertaining and interesting, gave wonderful recommendations at each stop, and provided enough guidance to give us an overview of each town without a “follow along” type of tour. He gave us information about each area before each stop then gave us time to explore on our own. We really like this kind of tour! Our driver Gennaro was also wonderful, providing a comfortable experience on challenging roads—excellent driving skills —and he was very friendly and courteous to everyone. Highly recommend this tour if you want a sampling of the coastline without a strict guided tour.

Our day out was made even better by our entertaining and knowledgeable guide Michelann and our skilled driver Nicholas who navigated the twisting treacherous roads and heavy traffic with practised ease.
I Positano our guide explained points of interest and how to return to the minibus, then encouraged us to roam freely in the busy crowds between the shops that sold things from touristy lemon items to high quality linen and ceramics. Next stop was Amalfi for lunch
Again all options made clear once we had been led to the main square in front of the cathedral. Food from panini, fried street food and pizza to go at bargain prices. Of course there were more expensive sit down menu touristically as well. We admired the duomo Di San Andre, visited a handmade Amalfi paper store and the medieval Arsenale. This was quiet and cool and the man selling tickets certainly knew his history, fluently, in at least 4 languages.
On to the hilltop town of Ravello famed for summer concerts Again packed with tourists like us but it event feel claustrophobic We found a lovely gelataria and enjoyed watching people in the main square
The drive back to Sorennto revealed stunning views of Vesuvius after passing through high forest of birch and chestnut with wandering flocks of sheep with their shepherds The word of the day had to be WOW

We used Mondo Guide to transport us from our hotel in Sorrento to our hotel in Amalfi town as part of a Rick Steves Amalfi Coast Mondo Guide tour. A bonus was a 1 hour stop in Positano on the way and it ended up being cheaper than hiring a private driver. They dropped us right at our Amalfi hotel front door. The driver did a wonderful job and the tour guide was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and easy to understand. We highly recommend Mondo Guide.

From our research we knew that we did not want to drive the Amalfi Coast. And because we had limited time we signed up for a day long Mondo Tour as recommended by Rick Steves, as we heavily rely on his guide books for our Italy travels. We rarely take guided tours but we were impressed by the small group size, the quality of this tour, and the flexibility it provided us. Our driver Gennaro navigated the crazy drivers and curves to efficiently get us around. And our guide Micheline was very informative and flexible with the itinerary. Once she got us into each town she provided recommendations and gave us the flexibility to set our own pace. Of course we followed Rick's walking tours and made the most of our time in each town. And Micheline's information and narrations made the time on the bus pass quickly. Micheline recommended a wonderful dinner restaurant in Sorrento for us and even called them from the bus to get us a table. Thanks for a memorable experience in the Amalfi Coast!

Great trip in June. Our guide picked us up about 8:30 and we headed around the coast to Positano stopping on the way for a photo stop. Very knowledgeable guide and knew how to get the best out of out time. Note this tour must be almost impossible during peak season due to traffic levels; it was incredibly busy during June so I can’t imagine what is is like in July/ August! We had about 30mins in Positano before heading off to Amalfi. Dramatic views of coast and advise sitting in the back if you are a nervous passenger. Had about 90mins in Amalfi and our guide offered a boat trip at extra cost which was well worth it as the you get a different perspective of the scenery from the coast. We had time for a nice lunch, chose an out of the way restaurant which was less crowded and cheaper than the most popular venues.
Our last location was Ravello up in the hills which is a beautiful location. A bit cooler and more cultured than the previous stops. Plenty of time to walk around and grab an ice cream.
It was a long day but excellent tour. You could do this yourself by bus or boat but you would not see as much in a day. Highly recommended.

Micheline was funny and gave a lot of insights into each of the places we visited. Nicolai was a good and experienced driver. We had a late start bec some of the members of the group were late. The views of the towns were much appreciated during the drive, however, not everybody got the chance to appreciate it since some members stayed put in their seats onstead of switching seats on 2nd and last stop. Positano and Amalfi were overly crowded. Ravello stole the show for me. The view was spectacular. Make sure you wear comfortable shows and if you are visiting during summer July/August prepare to be sweating buckets. Make sure you have a hat, sunglasses sunscreen and fan and water to help you stay cool. Make sure your clothing you wear is light so you don't soak it with your sweat. Wish there was more time to explore each town. I think view is best appreciated on a boat vs vehicle. I think if you want to avoid the crowds, book your trip off season like October.

Prior to the Expected tour date we were contacted by the operator who wanted to change the date of the tour. Once they had established our availability a new date was agreed and we are very happy as the operator consulted with us and Communicated with us regularly.
Our Tour Guide Micheline was great fun and very knowledgeable with a great explanation of what we saw along the way and what to expect at each loaction. Our Driver Gennaro was a very skilled driver and we felt safe and comfortable throughout. The views as we made our way along the Alamlfi coast were breath taking. The stop at Positano was wonderful and with it being such a small place was just about right (1 hour). Then onto Almalfi with beautiful scenery and hairpin bends along the way. We had two hours in Amalfi. Top Tip: Have lunch first (as we did) and then there is plenty of time for everything else. We the climbed further up into the hills for a visist to Rafello which was a real eye opener. Top Tip: this area is a little quieter at the start of November (not as busy as at other times of year). It is easier to get a table at a resturant etc. Great tour with a tour operator who really cares about customer experience.
Our experience did not there as when we were shopping in Sorrento after the tour we bumped into Micheline and had a nice chat with her. She then told the locals to look after us. What a lovely lady!

Rick Steves mentioned a deal to ride on a minibus (like 8 passengers) from sorrento to the Amalie coast. I don’t see where to sign up for that on the mondo website. The website only mentions buses up to 19 people. How can I make sure I reserve space on a smaller bus?

I think they bring a vehicle based on the number of people. If they have 19 people, I believe they would take at least two vehicles. JA

I would like to do this tour after my Rick Steves tour of Sicily. I believe I can catch a flight from Catania to Naples (?) spend the night in Naples to get to Sorrento in time for the tour and then go back to Naples to catch my flight home the next day. Is that possible? or just to busy? Thanks.

Does the van only stop in the three villages mentioned, or does it make short stops at scenic outlooks along the way?

It stopped at least once for a scenic photo op along with the 3 main city stops.

Is the time is enough for this trip if we visited this place Via the cruise..as we have only specific time to get back to the ship for the next port journey?

Our tour got back late (because they didn't want to short us on our time at each stop and traffic was bad). Don't chance it. I would suggest hiring a private driver for the day and plan it so you go farthest out early in the day instead of having the longest drive at the end of the day due to traffic. Rick Steves mentions Monetti Taxi as a possibility. They book up far in advance. We booked with Sorrento Silver Star and MondoGuides for various purposes while in the coast area. Both were very good and recommended. Good luck!

Do I have to pay full price for infant (under 2 years old)? There is no option on this sure to pick adult and child tickets.

As I do not have children I would reach out to Mondo tours for the answer. If you need a seat for child carrier I would expect a charge. Btw it was super hot in August, so you might want to look for a tour thats mainly on AC bus if going during hot season...don't know if a child could handle heat...as adults had a hard time

Are there any additional fees not listed here for this tour? Some tours I found online list fees that need to be paid separately with cash when entering certain areas of the towns along the Amalfi Coast with tour vans. Thank you in advance for your help!

How long is the tour. It says pick up at 9am, but no return time. Thank you

It’s all day. About 8-9 hours. Definitely worth it. I’m not into yours at all, but getting around the amalfi on your own is tricky due to the driving.

Is there an opportunity to go on the 12 euro short boat trip whilst in Amalfi? Seen it advertised on other trips so just wondered if it would be available with this one too?
