Overview

Explore Madrid's culture through its tapas and wine on this guided tour, limited to a small group of 12 people for an intimate atmosphere. Exploring alongside a guide allows you to discover Spanish specialties you may never have heard of, such as chickpea stew, salted cod, and obscure local ingredients. Unlike some other tapas tours, all food samples and wine are included. Choose from a lunch or dinner departure time for added flexibility.

What to Expect

Make your way to Santa Ana Square, where you'll meet your gastronome guide and small group of fellow food lovers. Limited to just 12 people, this small-group size ensures personalized attention and an intimate atmosphere, perfect for really getting to known Madrid's nightlife and dining culture.

Set off through the streets, stopping by both well-known establishments and hole-in-the-wall places you would have never found on your own. Along the way, taste up to 10 samples of regional specialties such as roasted eggplant with honey, Iberian ham, chickpea stew, and salted cod. Sip Spanish wines while your guide gives you an overview of wine history and production in the country.

End up at a centrally located bar, parting with your guide to explore independently. Your guide is happy to provide recommendations to lead the rest of your culinary-themed exploration.

I would say that the 13 year old is too young as the wine is a major part of the trip and you get to sample some excellent wines. We did have one lady who did not drink and she enjoyed it. Have a great time in Madrid.
