About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Rich_UK730 contributionsFantastic for all the family! We did the Savor Spain tour with the wonderful Sevan as our host/guide in February 2020. It lasted approximately 4 hours and was a wonderful insight into Barcelona's cultural history and favourite drinks and dishes. We also brought our 9 year old son on the tour with us and he thought it was definitely the second best thing we did in Barcelona (sorry, watching FC Barcelona win was his highlight). But to say that we had some initial reservations at whether a 9 year old would feel bored, tired or just uninterested in the tour but once the tour started there was never even a moment where that thought cropped up again. The tour was tailored around ensuring it was just as interesting for the adults as they are fun for the children. Sevan, our guide, was the perfect host - knowledgeable, likeable, great fun. More like going out with a good friend than on an organised trip. I couldn't recommend this trip enough. You'll love it, you'll find out where all the best places to eat are, the little places the locals won't tell you about so as to keep them for themselves, you'll eat and drink more than your money's worth and you'll have an amazing time. Give it a go next time you're in Barcelona!Written 8 April 2020
- cheeewwwy0 contributionsAMAZING EXPERIENCE, AMAZING GUIDE!AMAZING experience! Savan was our guide and he was absolutely amazing from start to finish. He also helped my friends and I out when Spain declared a State of Emergency. We didn’t know what was going on, and Savan was there to ease our worries. About the tour itself, Savan took us all around the many neighborhoods and informed us of its history. He also recommended some of his personal favorites. We stopped at MANY restaurants and cafes throughout the tour. Each location had a taste of its own and their own history. We even learned about the plaques on the ground. When they were built, established, etc. By far, this has been one of my favorite food tours. Savan is such an amazing spirit. We enjoyed every second with him. We stopped at so many restaurants, I can’t even tell you. But this food tour is definitely worth it! Fun fact: garlic from the Mediterranean is spicy!! We also had the best churros... ever! This guy knows his stuff! Highly recommend doing this tour if you’re visiting Barcelona, you’ll pass by if not all, most of the neighborhoods and see the different cultures and background in each one. It’s also a great way to see Barcelona on foot. Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH, Savan!! We’ll be back!Written 16 March 2020
- Santos7280 contributionsSavor Spain, Great Experience! This was my first food tour and it has really left a high standard for future tours I go on. Our tour guide was Danny. He did a great job of providing interesting information and explaining the relevance of everything we ate and saw. I highly recommend this tour as a starting point for understanding the history and food of Barcelona. Not only will you receive an authentic experience, but you will learn things you would never have discovered through other means. Best, Michael SantosWritten 3 March 2020
- rocky10250 contributionsEating and drinking our way through Barcelona & learning amazing things about Barcelona along the way!We wish we could give this tour 10 stars! We didn't have any expectations going into this event, but now we wouldn't let any friends miss this gem if they were visiting Barcelona! Sevan was so enthusiastic and you could tell that he genuinely loved the city and his job. The tour was a small group and it felt very personalized. We enjoyed great food and drinks and learned so many interesting things about the city along the way. Love, love, love!!Written 26 February 2020
- julielN8895XM0 contributionsInfluenced our eating the whole tripI couldn't recommend this tour more highly. Brian was a great guide -- he answered all our questions about the food and the culture (he has a map for everything!) and tailored his conversation to the audience, which included our 2 kids, age 10 and 13. The walk around Barcelona was fun and educational and the restaurants were top notch. Every place we visited was terrific and we always saw lines out the door (including on our return visits) so we knew we were eating good stuff. We tried new things and expanded the kids' horizons. At the end, Brian was able to make kid-friendly recommendations for our future meals, tailored to their favorite bites. He influenced our eating for the rest of our trip and made discovering new foods a joy.Written 23 February 2020
- Lmuell0 contributionsGreat, tasty experience!Book this… don’t even look anywhere else! We had the best time and learned so much about Barcelona that we wouldn’t have been able to learn anywhere else… The food, the neighborhoods, the beverages...It was all encompassing! Brian was great, and even gave us some suggestions on things to do afterwards… some of his favorite places to celebrate. We would do this again in a heartbeat!Written 20 February 2020
- LisaClav0 contributionsSavor Spain tour with lovely SevanWe had such a lovely afternoon / evening with Sevan! Lots of interesting history and great food. He took the time to give us some extra recommendations so we had a couple of drinks in a lovely bar after and watched the sun set the next night from the terrace of the Catalan museum. Thank you Sevan, you made sure we had a wonderful couple of days and we can see why you love the city so much!Written 18 February 2020
- baysidemejeff0 contributionsGreat History and Food TourWe had a fantastic time with our guide, Wendy. This tour was full of history and plenty of food and drink. So much so that we ended up canceling our dinner reservations for after the tour. Wendy was super knowledgeable about the history of Barcelona and Catalan. A high point of the tour was learning to drink from a porron. A little messy at first, but easy and less messy at the end. A great tour with Wendy.Written 13 February 2020
- 529elisabeths0 contributionsRecommend! We had a very nice tour in a small group. Our guide was so enthusiastic and we got a good knowledge about Spanish history, explained about Spanish culture and got a good opportunity to taste really good Spanish food. Our guide also took time to guide us in the Spanish wine world. Warm recommendations for this tour!Written 12 February 2020
- feryalelgohary0 contributionsFood TourI experienced such am amazing food tour, the places we went to were so authentic, our guide was beyond proffessional, the service was super. everything was done with so much love and care.. will surely recommend for all my friends visiting Barcelona.Written 10 February 2020
- KimFromCT0 contributionsHighly RecommendMy husband and I did Wanderbeak’s Savor Spain tour with guide Sevan, and it was one of the best tours we’ve ever been on. We scheduled the tour for the afternoon of our first day in Barcelona - what a great introduction to the city! Sevan showed us how and what to eat in Barcelona, and he mixed in interesting historical and cultural facts. He was so enthusiastic, funny and well informed that we felt truly lucky to have found this tour. The food and drinks were delicious. The restaurants we visited were gems. It was a nice small group of just five of us plus the guide so that made it more fun and personalized.Written 9 February 2020
- mupetvet0 contributionsNice walking food tourGood food and great history/information from our guide Daniele as we walked through 3 different neighborhoods. He was a fantastic guide and had a wealth of history to share with us. I'm sure we would not have seen some of these things had we not done this tour. Not sure if they always go to the same restaurants but we felt the food stops on our tour were good but not anything special. Technically, we stopped at 8 places but one was a "candy cart" on the street to try (3 very tiny pieces of) nougat and another place we didn't go into but rather tried our hand at drinking from a "porron" outside of the bar. We had several non-drinkers in our group and while they were offered orange juice at the first stop, it was water after that. Overall, a very informative tour that I would recommend, but maybe just a bit expensive for what you get.Written 2 February 2020
- BacheLona0 contributionsSavor Spain with SevanWhere do I start? Sevan was an amazing tour guide!! Very knowledge and passionate about the history, art, and food of Barcelona. Sevan was extremely friendly, inviting, and just plan fun. We were visiting Barcelona to celebrate a bachlorette party for a friend getting married. Sevan was able to provide us with tons of suggestions about places to checkout outside of our tour as we explored. If you're going to do this, be prepared to try different flavors, textures, and brush up on history (in a fun way).Written 2 February 2020
- N6738DHkellyb0 contributionsHighly RecommendI found this tour through Condé Nast and that really says it all. I’ve done food tours in multiple countries and this was one of the best. Brian, my guide, was absolutely fantastic. The others on the tour never showed up so it was just the two of us and I really could not have asked for a better experience. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the city and it’s history which made it even more interesting. I highly recommend the Savor Spain tour and to request Brian as your tour guide, if possible.Written 2 February 2020
- osnatt20200 contributionsCome on an empty stomach!😃My husband and I had a wonderful time with Daniele on the Market to Tapas tour. I love taking art and food tours since it gives you another way of getting to know the city you visit and a different perspective of it. This is my 4th time in Barcelona and still Daniele took us on a new path of knowing Barcelona historically, culturally and culinarily. Thank you Daniele it was a great experience.Written 2 February 2020

Our group did a private version of the Born to Eat tour, and we had the best time roaming the streets of El Born with our fantastic guide (and new friend), Sevan. He was extremely knowledgeable about the culture, geography and history of Catalunya and Spain, and offered unique and interesting perspective to help us appreciate the delicious food and drinks even more. We visited some wonderful local tapas bars - each with their own personality - and ended the evening tasting 4 delicious Spanish wines. Sevan was also so funny and personable and really brought the city to life for us, offering personal stories and experiences of his time in the city that made us all want to move there! It was a true highlight of the trip, and I can't wait to come back to Barcelona and do it again!

We booked a private tour for 4 people as a business event with some foreign collaborators. The experience was exceeding all the expectations we had in many ways, from the selection of food and wines to the excellent tourmanship of our guide. As a local, I enjoyed very much the choices and explanations and our foreign partners were totally satisfied with the evening. The conversations with the guide were a big part of what made it interesting as he was knowledgeable and willing to share and discuss on many topics.

I love going on walking food tours when I travel. I think they are a fantastic way to learn about a city, get acclimated, enjoy some great food and wine that I may not have known about and let someone else take the lead for a change. This was by far the absolute best walking food tour I have ever taken! Our tour guide Brian was so fun and friendly and made us feel very relaxed from the moment we met him. It was almost like meeting up with your cool old buddy from college that still lives and travels abroad. I love that he was super knowledgable about any question I threw at him(and let's face it I'm "that person" that asks obscure things) but also he didn't sound boilerplate or rehearsed. The food that we tasted on this tour was amazing and actually set the tone for the rest of the trip (loved the pintxos). Learning about the Vermouth was so cool (we even found a local distributor as soon as we made it back in the states). His general knowledge of wine and the food pairings was very impressive. This company really does it differently! They train their employees so that they don't just answer easy pamphlet type questions and that they really are there to make your experience unique and unparalleled. In terms of quantity, there was plenty of food (I was stuffed) and a friendly pour of beverages. I really feel I got my money's worth. I would re-book this tour or another from the same company with Brian as our leader anytime! He would be a fantastic fit for any group dynamic, date night, or even a hen party (he's pretty cute ladies!).

We had a fantastic time with our guide, Sevan! There was a great variety of food and drinks, everything was delicious, and Sevan was an incredible host. The Born to Eat tour is a great way to get a taste of the Born neighborhood! One of us is vegetarian and Sevan was very helpful in making sure that there were vegetarian alternatives. A must do!

Our tour guide Wendy was absolutely fantastic and made our tour exceptionally fun! She shared many interesting facts about the food and drinks we tried as well as Spanish history and the regions of Spain. It ended up just being two of us, which made it feel more like a night out with friends than anything. I would highly recommend this tour! And again Wendy was fantastic!

We decided to do the Born to Eat tour our first night in Barcelona and it was the best decision ever! Wendy was our host that evening. She was amazing. So personable and knowledgeable! Wendy took us on four stops in the El Born area that included the most delicious food and drink. It was a great introduction to the city and we had a blast. I highly recommend this tour and Wendy!

We had a wonderful time on out tapas and wine tour with Wendy from Wanderbeak. She was very knowledgeable about the local culture and the food and wine. She took us to local's spots in the charming Born neighborhood. Best of all, Wendy was down to earth and lots of fun to be with! The group size is limited to eight so we were able to get to know the others in our group and enjoy our time together.

Our guide was Dani...we did a 3 hour tour in the afternoon for a bachelor party. The food was DELICIOUS as well as the alcohol. You will definitely leave full and a little buzzed but the rooftop finale overlooking the marina was the best part. Dani was also an amazing tour guide!

My boyfriend and I went on the Born To Eat tour with Brian and he was so great. Super passionate and knowledgeable, and the ease with which he navigated us from place to place was smooth. Sometimes we go on food tours and the connections with the businesses are clunky - this felt very fluid and stress-free. Great food, wine, and community. Thanks!

Did this tour my last night in Barcelona and learned a lot about the local foods and customs. I wish I’d done it my first day ‘cause I learned so much about the local shops and food that would have come in handy during my stay. Dani was our guide and made it really personal and fun. There were four of us and everyone had a blast. Dani- you rock.
