- Amaresh D0 contributionsTerrible tour from julia travelBooked ticket 2 days before the actual trip day and they denied access to the tower saying there was no ticket booked to tower..The julia front desk service is terribelly bad. Will never use Viator and Julia travel for any spain trip. They did not apolgized for this. They just refunded 11 EuroWritten 25 March 2025
- Emma W0 contributionsBreathtakingIrina S gave a great tour of the church. It is breathtaking. It is also well worth getting the tower option if you are able. They have an elevator to go up but have to walk down 600 steps.Written 24 March 2025
- levipmp0 contributionsClockworkIn spite of the rain, our guide Gloria was fantastic. Her multi-lingual translations were impressive. I thought she was reading from a script, but quickly realized that she has done this so many times, it is ingrained in her. She made the best of less-than-ideal conditions, gave excellent instructions, and the entire tour ran like clockwork. Advice: Julia travel is on the lower level of the bus station at the end. When we arrived, we crossed a bridge at street level and spent a few minutes looking for signs of life. I didn’t see any signs or maps indicating the location, so just get down to bus-level, walk to the end and you’ll see it.Written 24 March 2025
- Sunshine7695270 contributionsA wonderful trip to the heavensA very well organised trip with excellent commentary and help from guides Gloria and Marinella. They were both extremely well informed, entertaining and organised. The journey was well timed with priority given to seeing the Madonna and the Basilica and plenty of free time afterwards. Good value for money. Highly recommend.Written 23 March 2025

- T2748FJrachelh0 contributionsBeautiful Park Guell BarcelonaMake sure you book in advance and check your meeting point as I was exhausted and late to the right one! Thankfully Golden Tours via Get Your Guide did allow me to join the next group which was fortunately only 4 other lovely people. Phillipo was also best guide - fun, engaging and passionate about the park and its very interesting story. I did this before visiting Sagrada Familia and would definitely recommend visiting both for the progression of Antoni Gaudi‘s wonderful work. I doubt I would picked up half as much if wandering around on my own.Written 23 March 2025
- 920antoinea0 contributionsPicasso in a Nutshell – with Olga’s Magic TouchWe did the Picasso Museum tour with Olga, and honestly? She was great. Super knowledgeable, super friendly, and with just the right touch of fun to keep things engaging. Sure, the tour moved at a pretty brisk pace, but it still gave us a solid and surprisingly rich overview of Picasso’s different life phases. Each section of the museum reflected a specific period in his journey, and thanks to Olga’s insights, it all came together in a way that made sense and stuck with us. A fast-paced but fascinating dive into the mind of a genius.Written 22 March 2025

We boarded a small bus in Barcelona early (7:45) in the morning for the hour and a half ride to Girona. Sandra provided listening devices and earbuds for the guided portion of the tour. The medieval city architecture is beautiful and small alleys are clean. Be prepared as there are many steps and hills that make up the city and comfortable shoes are recommended. The tour lasts about an hour and points out interests where the Game of Thrones series season six was filmed then you’re on your own to explore and shop for an hour and a half. We found a great little place to eat with omelettes and sandwiches. The weather was perfect (74 degrees) and sunny. We rejoined the group at 12:45 for the return to Barcelona. Sandra provided a rich history of the region including cultural conflicts of Girona. Great tour!

Our tour guide Nuria was amazing, she was very joyful and knowledgeable, also has an amazing English! she showed us many places where GOT scenes were filmed which was very interesting.
We had time to take pictures throughout the tour and after we had about 3 hours of free time to explore the city and different monuments like the cathedral and the Arabic baths which was great. Would definitely recommend!

Sylvia was a very engaging, knowledgeable guide who took care of the group while making sure everyone gets maximum out of the tour.
Mine was to Gerona and I forgot that I have been there before with my parents. We did not have a guide that time and the city came alive for me with Sylvia’s guidance and little details that we missed “on our own”.
Considering the long drive from Barcelona, this tour is a phenomenal value and, if short on time, you can combine it with a visit to Montserrat on the same day.

I wish I never booked with this company in Barcelona. While we understand the company has policies and that we were late, the issue was their complete lack of customer service. Despite emailing and calling ahead and being only 15 minutes behind, they refused to give a clear answer on whether they would wait, leading us to spend extra money on transport unnecessarily. We advised we would make our own way to Girona, they offered no assistance in rejoining the group (asked for a phone number and registration to find the bus to locate them as there was free time included in this tour) and they only suggested rescheduling—which wasn’t possible as we were leaving Spain. Their response was that waiting would "interrupt others' experience," yet they had no issue doing absolutely nothing for us, not even a partial refund considering that our absence did not affect the tour in any way. A company that prioritizes keeping money over basic customer care is one I would never recommend.

Sandra was an amazing guide! We enjoyed the tour very much. She told us all about the history and myths of Girona and referred to all the GoT scenes in each place. A great tour that we can recommend to GoT fans and anybody interested in the history of this wonderful city.

Girona is amazing! The city is beautiful! Just hanging around the streets is such a pleasure. The cathedral is astonishing! For me, as a Game of Thrones fan, this experience was delightful! It is up to the person's taste and expectations but I liked Girona better than Barcelona!
Our tour guide was very sweet, and provided a lot of information! I didn't remember her name but it's starting with "M", she wore glasses. She spent enough time to dive into history, traditions, interesting facts, and of course, Game of Thrones (without making it boring for people who didn't know what that is). She made sure we had enough spare time for photos and hanging around, gave us great advice on how to spend our time after the tour. Even though the whole group had issues with the audio devices, she didn't panic and we did the tour old-style and despite her weak voice, we could hear her very well because she picked appropriate stops all the way through the city. Probably some of the people felt it in a bit of a rush but it is a half day tour and I assume the agency wants to provide enough free time for everyone which I liked a lot.
I'd do that tour again, and again, and again! Best spent money (same level as Sagrada Familia) during our vacation!

The trip was perfect for me and my friend. It was very interesting to hear about the city and it’s history! Sara was the perfect tour guide, she was so friendly and included some funny facts. We had a really good time and some laughs! 1 - 1/2 hour guided tour and then 1 1/2 hour of free time in the city was perfect for a short trip.

We took a half-day trip out of Barcelona, and it was not enough time. Girona is about 90 minutes away by car and you need probably 4 or 5 hours to tour the old city, the Cathedral and shop and have lunch. But if you are looking for a change of pace from Barcelona you will not be disappointed by Girona. The Cathedral and its museum are fantastic. The old city feels medieval, and the setting is top tier. There are some great looking hotels in town so think about an overnight visit.

Is the return to Barcelona programed until late night that day? What would you suggest?
