- Q6854JAjasonf0 contributionsGreat day trip outside of Barcelona.Roger was a great tour guide very knowledgeable about Monserrat and Girona. Beautiful Tossa De Mar was beautiful but would have been much better in a couple months when the town comes to life with the increasing temperatures. Significant amount of bus time on twisty mountain roads so be prepared. Would recommend the tour to anyone visiting Barcelona looking to experience a bit more of Spain.Written 18 March 2025

The itinerary was very considerate and the tour guide Han explained it carefully and in Chinese. I learned more about the history of Barcelona. Worth recommending.
The helicopter tour is one of the most interesting projects in this journey, allowing you to enjoy the entire city from a high altitude.

First of all, this tour was outstanding. Bosco the tour guide was so knowledgeable! What a storyteller he was. Along with his knowledge he had a tablet and a book to share images as well which made the information come to life.
When we booked this tour we didn’t really know what to expect. We met at their offices and began the walking tour. Again Bosco had a wide range of knowledge including architecture which we found enthralling. I will say that there is quite a bit of walking. So for those with mobility issues I would recommend a different tour. We did stop for Coffee (for us a gelato that was amazing) . We then proceeded to the port where Bosco purchased our boat tickets. Then we took a taxi to the helipad. Omg. That was an experience. Though it was short it was amazing to see the coast of Barcelona from that view point. After that the tour was over. The boat ride was to be done on our own and could be done either later that day or the next day.
All in all we really enjoyed this tour and highly recommend it!!!!! Thank you Bosco for a memorable outing!!!

Paul our tour guide was great and knowledgeable. Relaxed vibe with no pressure and providing invaluable advice. Glad we did this on our first day in Barcelona as it made finding things to do a lot easier as well as for restaurants and shopping.
The boat ride was neither here nor there, just sat on a boat for an hour.
The helicopter ride was awesome and my wife loved it, we got to see great views of the city and would recommend for the price

The guide was very friendly, and the boat tour pleasant, but without much originality. This is especially a time to relax and see the city from afar, but it lacks real interest.
On the other hand, the experience with the helicopter tour was very disappointing. The original flight was postponed due to poor weather conditions, which is quite understandable. We quickly got a new slot for the next day at noon, confirmed by email and phone. However, while reading the email in the evening, I discovered in a small line that the check-in was actually scheduled at 10am. This important information was not put forward at all.
I contacted the agency via WhatsApp to confirm the schedules, but it was not until the same morning, the day of the flight, that I received a reply indicating that the flight was indeed at 10am, two hours before the originally announced schedule. This organization is very unprofessional. We had to rush and take taxis at our own expense to get to the heliport on time.
On the spot, we discovered that the “normal” flight (the Costa Tour) is limited to a simple straight line over the beach of Barcelona. At no time in the advertisement or in the photos is it specified that there are different types of flights, nor their routes. There is simply mention of “normal” and “premium” options, but without any clear explanation. Here is the flight plan posted at the heliport, which clearly shows the limits of the offer:
The “normal” flight (Costa Tour) is extremely short and uninteresting.
The “premium” flight seems more complete, but this distinction is not explained in the ad.
We came out very disappointed with this activity. The five-minute flight goes by extremely quickly, and the experience is far from what the communication suggested. Between a chaotic organization, a lack of clarity on benefits, and a flight that offers only a limited view, this activity is absolutely not worth the cost. I would not recommend it.

Bonjour Fran,
Cordialement,
World Experience

The helicopter can only fit 3 at a time, we were booked as a family of 4 and one had to ride solo with strangers. The “sail”ride is not a sailboat, they purchase a $11 ferry ticket for an hour ferry ride after you finish the helicopter and you’re packed on with hundreds of people on a boat that’s not ideal. It’s not a “small group”. We were very misled by the description. They won’t refund. Don’t fall for this scam. You can book the helicopter separate for much cheaper.

This was our first ‘guided tour’ as I’ve always thought I can work it out myself. Too many trips meandering about getting lost and frustrated made us want to try something like this - to give us a feel for the city and learn a bit too.
The group was fairly small and the guide was excellent in knowledge, English and his positive attitude even though it actually happened to be raining on our walking tour part 😂
The helicopter part was post phoned until the next day due to the rain, but the trip organisers contacted me directly and offered a refund if I wanted it. (We didn’t).
So on the first morning we did the walking tour and the boat trip, and the day after the helicopter flight. Although the flight was short - it’s such good value for money, especially if you haven’t been on a helicopter before.
Highly recommend. It’s a great little package.

I booked this tour as a present for my son who passed his GCSE’s this year to celebrate him doing well. He is returning to college to do A-Levels and beyond this is aiming to be a pilot so I was hoping he would enjoy the helicopter part in particular. We had already booked our holiday to Barcelona and when I saw this tour I loved the itinerary.
Audrey, our tour guide, was amazing! She was knowledgeable, helpful and entertaining while delivering so much information about the town and surrounding areas. We visited Sagrada Familia and Park Güell prior to this tour which were both stunning too but I know my son loved this tour the best! From the moment we arrived at the offices we were greeted with a smile and professionalism from all the staff. We were fortunate in being a group of only 4 people for the majority of the tour and were able to ask lots of questions. The whole experience was unforgettable from the walk through Barcelona old town and then down las ramblas to the port and then the smooth helicopter ride and finally the boat trip, where we experienced not only views of the city but the America cup too! The entire tour was a magical last day for us thanks to Audrey and her team. Even the coffee in a lovely cafe was a treat! We completed our day with a meal in El Drac de Sant Jordi, recommended to us by Audrey and demolished the most beautiful and tasty tapas before hopping on a night bus tour. My son slept through most of this which confirmed what an amazing, jam-packed time we had in Barcelona and what a brilliant tour we had earlier in the day! Thank you Audrey. One to remember!

Booked this as birthday gift. Successfully.
The programme was fine.
Met at the meeting point. Sebastian and his future coworker did a great job with guiding us through the city. Gave us nice quiz and combined our opinions into the story telling of the history of Barcelona. Sebastian was also very patient as we waited for 2 persons who ended up not showing up. The tour began with a city tour from the high-end shops of Barcelona down to Las Ramblas (?) Approx 1.5hrs walk with stops. Then over to the sea port where we received our voucher for the boat tour. The boat cuise is 1 h. You can enter every 30mins. Until 8pm I think. Or do it the next day. After we walked 5 mins over to a taxi which rode us another 5 mins over to the helicopter area.
They weigh you - so no chance to hide your weight ;) that's needed to balance the helicopter later then. Heavy ones in the back etc
The helicopter ride was beautiful but pretty short. only 7 mins. We flew around the beach side of Barcelona back and fourth. Saw the structure of the city from bird view and reour the whole sea side with some boats in the ocean. The programme was fine but honestly the price was quite expensive as you expect the helicopter ride to be longer than 7mins only.

Trini was our guide and did an excellent narrative of our two hour city walk thru old town. We then took a taxi to heli port and took a 6 minute ride along the coast to see the city. Split decisions on value for 6 min. ride. Then Trini gave us tickets for our one hour harbor cruise at 1pm and told us where the boat would board, where 8 of us waited. She then left us. At a little after 1:00 I went to ticket counter and a gentleman said the boat left 2 minutes ago., from a completely different berth. The 8 of us were pissed as the next boat wasn’t until 3:00 pm. We waited and took the harbor cruise, and again it showed us large yachts, cruise ships, etc., but was it really worth it?

The walking tour was enjoyable. We were able to see a lot of the old town and more modern areas as well and it was a good way to see the city. Our guide Olivia provided a lot of information in a way that was interesting and engaging. I think it could’ve been nice if we were able to take 10 mins or so to shop at some point because we passed by a lot of shops on the way. The helicopter tour was fun but was very quick, about 5 mins, and it just goes up and down the coastline. But was worth doing as my family and I enjoyed! The guide gives you the ferry tickets after the helicopter and it’s an hour ride up the coastline you saw on the helicopter. It was nice, but very hot because it’s currently august. Not sure how necessary the boat was but still enjoyed

Hello, how long is the boat ride? How long is the walking tour? How long is the helicopter ride?
What causes a cancelation? Will lack or people or weather cause a cancelation, how would we be notified and will the charge still go through even if it is canceled?
Thank you so much.
Written 11 June 2023
Boat trip was an hour
Chopper was 20 mins
Walk was hour (remember your Id)
Weight / weather could get the chopper cancelled

Hello I’ve been trying to book for august but I’m unable to do that. Is there another way to go about it ?
Written 28 February 2023
Sometimes I have found that they only take bookings 3 months ahead. All about the $$$ and all the cancellations in the past due to Covid. The business is just protecting itself. We had a great tour and well worth it.

Hello, how about taking the helicopter with a toddler? do you have any smaller size headphones so the baby does not suffer due to the noise there?
Written 4 August 2022
The tour operators did have smaller headsets. I saw a child using them whilst we were there. I’m not sure they could accommodate a toddler though (maybe too small?) The helicopter accommodates 3 persons at a time. If your child was too small, you might take separate trips with your partner whilst the other looks after the child? Worth calling in advance to check the minimal age of children to travel on the helicopter

It’s a walking tour to start so the meeting point is somewhere in the Old Town. The tour company has the transport to the boat & helicopter pre-arranged.

Bonjour,
Pourriez vous me confirmer que les guides parlent bien français?
Quelle est la durée de l’excursion complète?
Est ce possible de le faire le samedi 4 janvier, est ce ouvert ?
Je vous remercie par avance pour votre retour.
Bien cordialement
Cécile
