What to Expect
Leave central Barcelona by air-conditioned vehicle and make the scenic journey to the Montserrat Monastery, a Benedictine abbey located high on Mt. Montserrat, just outside the city.
On arrival, enjoy a guided tour as you learn how the monastery stands as a cornerstone of Catalan history and spirituality. Take in the basilica—home to the revered ‘Black Madonna’ statue—and the atrium, cloister, and main square.
Afterward, continue to Oller de Mas, a winery set in a 10th-century castle. Stroll around the vineyards and delve into the wine-making process as you tour the barrel room and production areas. Finish with a tasting of quality wines served with an assortment of tapas and a dessert. As you taste and relax, learn the secrets behind each varietal from your host.
After a day of sightseeing and wine, your experience concludes at the original departure point in Barcelona.

- The tour leaves from Plaza Catalunya, 21 (by the Hard Rock Café) – look for the pink umbrella.
- Meet strictly 15 minutes before your departure time.
- There is a limit of 16 people per guide, although transportation will be shared with other groups.
- Please note that we reserve the right to modify the order of the sites visited if considered necessary.
- Comfortable clothes and shoes are recommended as there is some walking involved.
- Temperatures in Montserrat and the winery tend to be more extreme than in Barcelona. Please check the weather forecast the day before and dress accordingly.
- Infants aged 3 or less may join the tour free of charge, but note that no car seat or meals are provided.
- If you have reduced mobility, please contact us before booking. We do our best to welcome everyone on board!
- We cater for any dietary allergies or restrictions – no need to warn us beforehand.
- Montserrat is a Natural Park a very highlighted cultural destination that can't be entirely explored in a single tour. Your experience includes some free time in Montserrat. If you would like to spend extra time in Montserrat, please check with your guide upon arrival.

Marta will love to read about it :) Half day tours are the best option if you want to escape the city for a while but still be back in time to keep on touring around in the afternoon, or even the evening! As you rightly said, they include some free time in Montserrat and Oller del Mas after the guided visits. Especially in Montserrat, not as much as full day tours, but still more than enough to explore on your own and discover the beauty of this amazing mountain!
