Martin was great and very accommodating. We went with our 2 year old and changed the itinerary a bit and Martin was great in adjusting to our schedule. He was very knowledgeable about the history of each area and took us to different scenic spots to take pictures. We are thankful to experience the coastal Basque area with such a knowledgeable and kind guide. Thank you Martin!

We had a pintxo food tour in San Sebastian. The food was really very good and interesting. Definitely a great experience. Our guide Cristina Guia was very pleasant and helpful. She is very knowledgeable with her craft. She was generous with extra information about other points of interest around Spain and neighboring towns. We were very happy with the tour and our guide. It’s worth trying their tours.

I would give this tour 10 stars if I could! We spent an amazing 3 hours with Martin on the pinxtos San Sebastián tour. Martin is a local who was born and raised in San Sebastián and has a passion for sharing his city. His English is perfect and he delivers the perfect balance of food, culture, history and fun. Martin also gave many recommendations for the remainder of our time in his city. If you have the chance to book with Martin, just do it!

We had a great time! We loved the selections of cheese, seafood, pintxos, wine, and sweets. Our guide Martin, was passionate about Basque culture and generous with sharing insights about the region's history, origins, and food trends. We got special access into a parador to see its tapestry exhibits as well as a panoramic birds eye view of the Basque coastline. Highly recommend this tour! What an outstanding day! Mekal met us at our rental apartment, in Gros, and we set out on an epic hike up and over the mountain - breathtaking inclines, breathtaking views! That might have been our favorite part of the tour, not discounting the water taxi ride, stroll around Pasajes San Juan and drive through the rolling hills - but then we got to Hondarribia and visited a gastronomic society. Such a unique experience and amazing food, wine and cider. The whole day was unforgettable and possibly our favorite of our week in the Basque region. Mekal was a wonderful guide, historian and ambassador - and he was nice enough to give us recommendations for the rest of our visit (we followed all of them and every single one was perfect)

Markel with Ikusnahi Travel was our guide on this outing and a few more. We had a fantastic time and learned so much about the history of the area while visiting cliffs, a winery and then a grilled fish restaurant. We were driven around in a spacious immaculate bus. The food was amazing-the best fish I have ever had. The wine is delicious and goes perfectly with the fish. Our group was huge and Markel handled everyone with care and grace and more importantly, fun. I cannot recommend Markel or Ikusnahi Travel enough. They are wonderful.

Two friends and I were staying in San Sebastián for three days. We took this tour to Rijoca and had the most wonderful day. Martin our guide was charming and knowledgeable. The wineries we visited were ‘boutique’ type makers all of whom were passionate about the wines they offered. We tasted a variety of wines from the region and learned about how they are produced. The tasting offered both traditional styles and some more modern and experimental wines. The tour also includes a very delicious lunch of regional specialties.

Our fabulous guide Martin customized our tour to include more walking in Bilbao which we thoroughly enjoyed! The visit to the Guggenheim was fantastic, culminating with lunch in the museum cafe, which was delicious and fun!

Our day in Rioja was fantastic. Three wonderful wineries and a delicious lunch. Our guide Martin was terrific! We had a tour of the first vineyard with the owner’s daughter and it was personal and interesting!

Despite the rain, we spent the day visiting three distinctly different cities, hearing about the history of each, the region’s influence thoroughout the centuries. Iker was fantastic and couldn’t speak more highly of this all day excursion. St Jean de Luz is a must see!!!
