Truly spectacular- the highlight of our trip was the day spent with Alex. His organization of the day, transportation, wealth of knowledge, and locations were phenomenal. Our party of 10 was accommodated to top notch tastings and sights, memories made for a lifetime.

Alex picked us up on time. His van is very comfortable and he is a good driver. We liked the combination of wineries, pintxos and sightseeing in Rioja, it was the right mix. Alex was knowledgeable and personable! A very good day, I would highly recommend this activity!

This was a full day of wine tasting, pintxos and sightseeing. All great! Most of all our tour guide Alex was excellent! He is very personable, knowledgeable and went out of his way to allow us to have the best experience! We liked the Gomez-Cruzado winery the best as far as traditional wine tasting experience. We really enjoyed visiting local small towns too. Thank you very much!

This was a fabulous tour and Alex was great! He was very patient and very accommodating to our requests. We told him that we are big on food and he went above and beyond to make sure that our bellies are full as we sample the finest Rioja wine! He is also very warm and full of wonderful stories.

We spent a wonderful day visiting Zumaia (breathtaking views of the coast!), Zarautz (where we visited the restaurant/hotel of famous chef Karlos Arguiñano), Getaria (where we ate the local fish delicacy “besugo”-sea bream) and Bodegas Ameztoi (where we sampled the delicious local wine, “txakoli”). Alex was an excellent guide; very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive to all our needs. I would highly recommend San Sebastián Trips and Alex for any tours in the Basque region.

Alex was an excellent Tour guide. Friendly,warm, pleasant . He is very knowledgeable. He was able.to answer all our questions. He pointed out all the highlights of the scenery , fun facts and details of the area. We were able to walk at comfortable pace. He went to get the van to pick us up from every location. .Van very nice ,luxury van. Very smooth ride Guggenheim Museum. We enjoyed the flower puppy statue and museum building more than the modern art. The cliffs of Numia were awesome. Alex made reservations for us at A wonderful seafood restaurant in Gretaria with a charcoal grill. The Lunch was so delicious really fresh crab and sea bream fish caught that morning . Alex with San Sebastián tours was the highlight of our trip to the Basque Country! He was so knowledgeable, patient with two young children, and fun! We left San Sebastián for a winery stop, the cliffs of Zumai, and explored Getano. Our family enjoyed spending the day with him and hope to be back soon to fish, hike, and explore more of this beautiful part of Spain!!

Def go with Alex!! He was great. We had a full day and the vineyards he chose were awesome. We had lunch at a wonderful place, and two other stops to walk around and for photo ops. Such a good value and terrific experience.

Alex was our guide for a vineyard tour in the Rioja region. We were the worst possible guests ever - not only were we 30 mins + late for the meet up, our friend was horribly ill with the stomach flu which left one side of Alex’s car in a mess. He couldn’t have been any more gracious… he picked us up with a smile, he thanked us for not making the mess INSIDE the car and he made sure our friend was comfortable for the rest of the trip. We aren’t exxagerating when we say this - Alex made our trip in San Sebastián. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for guided tours in the region. He is funny, knowledgeable, and has awesome taste in music which we continue to listen to today. This review is long overdue (we really are the worst guests) - but if and when we do return to San Sebastián, we will most definitely pick Alex to explore the region with!

We had a fantastic time with Alex on his mountain and cider house tour. There were 9 of us but the whole thing was very smooth, great communication, easy pick-up and an excellent choice of cider house. Cider very moorish with delicious food topped off by the fact Alex is great company, an evening we won’t forget in a hurry!

This trip is just as fantastic as all of the other reviews say. A wonderful day being driven by Alex to 4 different wineries in Rioja. He chooses the most beautiful places to visit and is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about everything to do with the wine and the area in general. I can’t recommend this highly enough.

Just wrapped up a fantastic tour of Bilbao. The result of a very last minute visit to see the in-laws in Spain who were unable to visit the U.S. resulted in a quickly organized trip to Spain. Our tour was brief owing to time but included a quick visit to the Basque region of Spain to take everyone’s mind off of the past year’s struggles. We booked with San Sebastian Trips and had a magnificent day that included the Guggenheim Bilbao, a lovely visit of the coastal areas and one of the best seafood dining experiences in Getaria on our way back to San Sebastian. Alex was superb. We felt very well attended to and he was very informative and thorough in describing the region. Will definitely plan for extended time to explore more of the region including Rioja, etc. For travelers curious as to COVID precautions ahead of traveling - we felt very safe throughout the region as the citizens and authorities took all appropriate measures with masks, distancing, etc. Highly recommend San Sebastian Trips for a visit to this magnificent part of Spain.

My wife and I spent a week in San Sebastian learning about the Basque country. The Mountain hike was a nice escape from the town, coast and beach. The Pyrenees are beautiful and the views of the coastline are exceptional. The afternoon ends with a visit to a traditional "Cider House". The cider flowed freely and the Chef grilled one of the best steaks of my life. We enjoyed this along with other traditional Cider House treats (chorizo, cod omelette, cod and roasted peppers and cheese/quince/walnuts for dessert). And the owner of the restaurant and the staff were extremely welcoming. It was one of the most incredible meals of the trip.

An amazing day with San Sebastian Trips! The excursion had all of the things a great wine tour should have. The drive is beautiful, the cellars are excellent and the wine was great. Our guide Alex was organized and knowledgeable about the area while keeping the tour fun and relaxing.
