We had an incredibly amazing time during the tour. Yes, the fortress itself is awesome, but the guide Pedro made it infinetly better.
The storytelling, history knowledge and total presentation were really great, and the tour went by as if it lasted 20 mins.
The difference in price is negligeble compared to the value we gained on the tour.
I'd recommend this to anyone who wishes to visit the Alcazaba in Malaga, don't sleep on this.

Salvador is an excellent guide, creating an experience that made us feel like we were time travelers. He is very knowledgeable about the history and culture, and is from Málaga. He paced the tour based on the guests, making sure everyone was comfortable and could hear him, even on a crowded day.

This inexpensive tour was one of the most informative and interesting tours I’ve taken. Salvador, our charming guide, provided a comprehensive history of the site, peppered with stories that provided cultural context for Malaga and Spain itself. We moved at a good pace despite the place being packed with other tours including several very large groups of teenagers. The Alcazaba is gorgeous but its history makes it so much more interesting. There were around 20 in our group, and it cost 8 euro each, just go to the website for the Alcazaba and buy the tour.

We had a wonderully informative and fun tour with Salvador. he made the castle come to life and gave a thoroughly informative history with plenty of history interjected with comical anecdotes.
Would definetly recommed seeing the castle and having a guided tour, as we sped past the long snaking queue of people waiting to enter!

The tour started punctual at 10:30 am. Our tourguide then guided us almost 2 hours through the whole Alcazaba starting with explaining the history of Spain in general, talking about the Roman Theatre in front and then in particular the history of Malaga and the Alcazaba. She really gave a great overview and presented the history in a very funny and vivid way. All the questions the other group members had were answered thoroughly. You could really see that she was enjoying giving the tour which made this a very pleasant experience. On top of that we were only 13 people so it was very easy for us to move around the area. Notice that a small part of the garden is not included in the tour but that was not a problem at all we looked at it by ourselves afterwards (took us about 10 min). Thank you for the great tour!

My friend and I absolutely loved our tour of the Alcazaba with Gloria!! She was so fun, funny and cheerful while also being so knowledgeable and informative. We did the 5pm tour, which I’d highly recommend because it’s outside of the heat of the day and you still get the amazing views!

Maybe because of the date but everything was very crowded, or the Guide was not very well prepared. It was more gossip, we didn't stop at all the places of interest in the citadel. If you take the tour, I recommend attending at a time that allows you to do the tour again on your own with the audio guide (which is free) when you finish. We took the 4pm one and there was no time for anything when it ended at 5:30 pm.

It was really worthwhile having the guided tour to find out some of Malagas history and some detail of the Alcazaba. The tour was 1.5hrs and Salvatore was a great guide...with his humorous story telling and 'acting' skills making it both informative and entertaining (well I laughed at his jokes!) Afterwards we were able to wander around for as long as we liked to take photos & explore areas we hadn't already covered. Although a hot day, there was a pleasant breeze in many areas, as well as great views over Malaga.

The Tour was quite good and complete, entering the venue without queuing and he guided us through the main points and giving details in a pleasant and entertaining way!! Highly recommended. To improve punctuality, we arrived 10 minutes before the scheduled time and did not start until 5-10 minutes after the time!

The experience has been memorable thanks to Jesus! He has the gift of narration, he manages to transport you and make you live the story in real time. Without your wonderful guide this would have been just another walk. Thank you very much Jesus, 5 stars are very few, you deserve many more.

Do we have to stand in line to get our tickets to Alcazaba? The lines are terrible. We’d love a tour but don’t understand why tickets aren’t included as in other tours.
Please let me know as soon as possible please. Thank you!

We thought the same but unfortunately you can not book advance the tickets, so we had to buy it there. Anyway, the tour guide did it so quickly.
