      Not a recommended trip
Worst packaged tour in Germany. The tour got cancelled once in want of minimum count of passengers, then when it was accepted, that day one passenger did not turn up, the whole team waited for 1 hour till it was found that the passenger will never come. Due to Christmas rush, we did not visit the fair, we rushed to places as it was getting dark. The cab driver wanted to recover the quota of tip from only 2 of us as other 2 did not turn up. Overall very bad experience. I will suggest people to carry enough cash to tip.

Not What I Was Hoping For
Heidelberg was nice and the castle was interesting, but we really didn’t get to see much of either and the tour itself seemed disorganized. By the end of it there were only 8 of the 22 people on the tour that stuck with the guide. If it weren’t for the nice people we met that were also on the tour, my mom and I would have probably gone off on our own, too. Honestly, for the price, I’d skip this tour and just get there yourself if you really want to see the castle and town.

      Stress free/ great guide
We had a knowledgeable and patient guide; Peter was fantastic. The giant wine barrel was undergoing construction, but still available to tour. The pharmacy museum is small and very well done. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather as the day was mostly outside. The views of the town from the castle were stunning. We also enjoyed the cable car ride and walking through town. Peter recommended a fantastic German restaurant for lunch. Our only critique is that none of the directions stated to meet in front of the Meridian hotel. We clicked on the address in the trip advisor app and it took us to the wrong meeting location.

      A Very Nice Daylong Experience
Our tour guide was Thomas. He is an excellent ( and very fast!!) driver and also regaled us with endless stories about the castle and the town along with his various life experiences. However, he was more interested in telling us what he wanted us to know rather than answering our questions along the way. He is very knowledgeable and we had a great tour, but we felt that he could have listened just a but more rather than talking over us.

      Baden- Baden, Black Forest tour
Scenic and informative tour a definite MUST SEE TOUR. Not only for the history but for the beautiful scenery. From the historic mineral hot springs of Baden- Baden, to the scenic views of the wine vineyard and altitude views of the Black Forest (1000 feet above sea level). Also to get to the Black Forest you will travel on the famous Autobahn. If you’re lucky to get Willy as your guide you will have an even more enjoyable experience. If you can only afford one trip this is it. It’s an all day event, and it is slowly paced so it is suitable for all ages and physically fit levels. From the hiker to the older senior citizens this is a can’t miss tour. 5 stars.

      Great tour!
Our tour guide Alberto was amazing. He had that typical German seriousness but was very comedic about it. Our bus driver was also great. The tour itself was amazing, so glad to have done it! Absolutely stunning. The only thing I wished was that there was more time to explore around the town Heidelberg. We only had an hour and then you had to be back at the bus. However, that timing is dependent upon how long your group took to look around up at the actual castle and go through the pharmacy museum. I would heavily recommend this tour to anyone!!

      Storybook village
Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Boris is an amazing tour guide who spent the time to get to know everyone on the tour. Rothenburg was storybook beautiful and a “must see” location that would have been difficult to get to without renting a car. The tour brought us right to the edge of the old town and walked us around the main sites before giving us time to explore on our own. Highly recommend. Great for solo women as I felt very safe in this environment.

      Tour canceled without notice!
My wife & I signed up for this tour months in advance of our recent trip to Frankfurt. We received confirmation via email. We arrived at the arranged pick-up site only to be told by the guide for another trip (to Heidelberg), that, because we were the only ones who signed up, our tour had been cancelled! (There was no notification of any kind to confirm this). The guide told us that our only option was the Heidelberg trip, but that “it was better than spending the day in our hotel”! I appreciate that the tour company did refund the difference in cost between the tours, but canceling the original tour with no notice is no way to treat customers!

      Amazing!
Amazing place! Loved the beautiful architecture, university culture, food and friendly atmosphere. Enjoyed the castle, shops, and delicious food. I would definitely recommend and I hope to return again in the near future.

      Avoid
I will avoid this tour company moving forward. Our driver was incredibly disorganized. The van wasn't filled up with gas when the driver arrived, so we had to stop and do that. Then he also made us leave our tour early so we could stop and get gas "so it's filled up before we leave tomorrow" for the next tour. No parking was designated at the stops, so the driver had to waste time looking for a spot to park. He was also making a lot of borderline xenophobic jokes that made us very uncomfortable

      Heidelberg and the Castle
Willy was an excellent guide for this tour, we enjoyed the scenic drive, the interesting commentary along the way and the overview of Heidelberg given by Willy. There was enough free time to explore this beautiful village before heading to the castle to wonder around enjoy a magnificent of Heidelberg. Highly recommended.

      Great experience
Peter was very knowledgeable and nice. The tour was interesting and the castle and town were lovely. You tour the grounds of the castle and the town surrounding it.

      Not worth the money.
This tour is very disorganized. The vehicle was not ready at time of pick up, our guide had to stop for gas. He also stopped 3 additional times, including to mail a personal letter. They do not have confirmed parking in Strasbourg or Baden Baden. You will spend upwards to 30 minutes looking for a place to park. The petite train in Strasbourg should not be offered, because the last thing I wanted to do after being in the car this long was immediately walk to a train, then get rushed right back to the van. No time to explore Strasbourg at all. Only 30 minutes were allotted in the Black Forest, most of the time is spent in Baden Baden. Even our tour guide didn't seem to enjoy this tour at all. He kept telling that it was "all driving" and repeated the same jokes over and over.

      Historical and Awe-inspiring
The castle was amazing, just like our tour guide, Boris!!! He was so knowledgeable and shared so much historical and statistical information that it was an experience we wouldn’t have enjoyed or learned so much without him.He was so accommodating and personable.

I enjoyed how informed and amiable our guide was despite his outdated jokes about wives spending too much, which I found tacky and slightly sexist. The ride was pleasant and interesting.
The restaurant where we stopped. Zu Anker, was fascinating esthetically and I enjoyed my Riesling wine. My vegetarian meal, however, was possibly the worst I've ever had (a small green salad and four different potato dishes, all of them unimaginative and flavorless.) For that reason, I can't recommend the cruise to anyone who doesn't eat meat. I recommend at least letting people know about the meal in advance. If I had it would be that bad I would have brought my own food. Either give vegetarians a discount and recommend they pack their own lunch or pick a restaurant with a better vegetarian option. I found good vegetarian food all over Germany, so I know they exist.

    135 Euros well worth it
Trip included dinner, nice and tasty in a very wine type Restaurant, wine tasting and boat ride. We saw the beautiful castle on both sides of the river and enjoyed a lovely glass of wine on the trip
Our tour guide was helpful getting on an off the bus and explained some specifics of each site we visited.
The Niederwald Monument was so impressive, do not miss it. It is a great milestone in German history.
It can also be visited on a private tour

Great cruise on the whole but with one significant letdown - The itinerary promised a whole day in Speyer and before departure was changed to only a half day. At 19.00 the day before the stop it was canceled entirely except for the people who had pre-booked the excursion to Heidelberg. The rest of us were kept on board. In total, we were on board with no alternative offered for over 36 hours. They then offered everyone £50 in Compensation, including the people who had got off the boat and completed their itinerary which we do not think is fair or equitable. Has anything like this happened to anyone else?

We were picked up in a Ford Transit van, 6 adults squeezed uncomfortably in the back where for more than 3 hours you felt every bump in the road. Then on our way to visit listed sites we suddenly did a u turn as the driver has mistimed the boat, the only one operating for the day…..we were lucky he found it? Then lunch, again the only place he could get to open just for us was a disappointment, food average at best and then we had to pay for water & coffee……..other unhappy travellers challenged the host as to why we were not going back to the sites, eventually relenting we drove an an additional hour in the van to drive past the site.
Most businesses in the little villages were closed, which the host repeated regularly.
Suggest they should not operate in winter.

Just to put things into context, the tour is primarily by air conditioning bus. You drive to a town outside of Frankfurt which is nice to see but not a lot to do. You then have lunch in a cafe , no issues with the food but the setting could be improved….

The boat itself is fine and was the best part of the tour - the boat was a public ferry make no mistake. The boat ride lasts for an hour to a town nearby where you board the bus., again. The wine tasting really needs to be reworded, as we returned to the same cafe we had a meal in to be greeted by 4 shot glasses of wine for each member of the tour. This was disappointing. All in all the trip wasn’t what we expected it to be and not worth 150 euro each.

Immediately started off on a bad foot when the guide made comments insinuating I was dumb - not once but twice within the first 10 minutes after checking in. Most of the tour you’re crammed on a bus. Food was eh - options were pork, pork, or vegan - I ended up having to pay for my own entree as I don’t eat pork, and the vegan option was not appetizing. Mind you, when you check in, they make you decide immediately what you want for lunch. Drinks are not included, not even with the “included meal” (minus the 4 “sips” of wine you get at the end of the tour, and the wines are nothing great). I’d recommend saving your money, especially as you’re just put on the public ferry with loud teenagers for an hour and a half before returning to Frankfurt.

This was an absolutely incredible trip. Our guide took time to walk through the bus and talk to each group personally. He welcomed questions about the country and the area. The restaurant was so unique, the local food was great, and we really enjoyed the wine tasting. We wish would have purchased some! The boat cruise was top knotch. I would recommend purchasing a guide book before getting on the boat to tell about the castles you'll see on the way. There's a shop right by the boat, and our guide recommended the best book option. Would highly recommend this trip!

Our tour guide Michael was funny, welcoming, reliable, and provided wonderful narrations on the trip (but still left lots of quiet time for us to enjoy the scenery). Food was good, drinks on board the boat were nice, and so many castles! My favorite was the chair lift over the mountain. The entire trip was relaxing, informative, and very fun.

The boat ride was cool, but had my friend and I known it was only 1 hour out of the 7.5 we would’ve driven ourselves. The restaurant was mediocre and beware not even the water is included with your lunch … literally everything is extra. The other people didn’t know that either. Cable car = extra water or coke or beer= extra … everything on boat= extra. Guide was awesome but honestly a bit of a rip off for such a short time on the boat. You can’t tell me a 15 euro meal and a 45 minute trip(x2) is worth 160 usd especially when the boat ride separately is 20-30 euro.

Should have read the negative reviews before booking… they were spot on.
The food was bland and low quality, the restaurant had tacky souvenirs covering all the space on the walls, ceilings, and most of the floor. Navigating through narrow pathways to our tables in the bathroom felt like a challenge course.
The only redeeming part was the boat ride down the Rhine with views of spectacular castles. The public ferry has a top floor where you can enjoy soaking in the rustic and ancient landscape of the Rhine Valley.
After feeling refreshed from the boat ride, we were let down by being led back to the same restaurant we lunched. It got worse as we found ourselves in a smaller, more crowded room in the back for wine tasting. As per the other reviews, the wine tasting was cheap wine (€26-45 per bottle) in half filled shot glasses. The ice wine was the only one that was unique, but would classify it as a dessert wine. We left very ready to be done with the tour and head home.

    Overall, would not recommend.
