About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Michele4650 contributionsSkip the Ferry Ride To St Tropez from Nice and Forget St Tropez Altogether. Not Worth Visiting.Although it was only overcast on the day, our ferry ride was very choppy and people were feeling sick. They offered us vomit bags so that was good but when I booked I was imagining a lovely scenic view along the famous Cote d'Azur coast over a 2.5 hour boat ride to St Tropez so I could see more of the coast as part of my holiday. There were no views as we mostly saw land occasionally at a distance on the water. The ferry was very noisy all the way so that didn't help. As we arrived on a Thursday we couldn't see the Butterfly Museum which is closed Thursdays and the Street Market only operates Tuesdays and Saturdays so that diminished the amount of things to see but I did enjoy the Annonciade Museum though did not enjoy inside the boring historical Maritime Museum of Citadelle de St Tropez though the views were good there. I'm from Australia where we have plenty of gigantic soft sand beaches and the piddly little beaches at St Tropez harbour were embarrassingly small. You can't call that a beach! All the cafes along the wharf were expectedly expensive. I didn't understand the attraction of St Tropez and I wished I hadn't wasted one full day of my holidays using a 5 hour return choppy unpleasant ferry ride to a place I didn't care for and wouldn't return to. I should have instead visited Eze and Antibes and Monaco on a day tour with a tour guide and van. I should have read the reviews here before booking so be warned, it isn't that great to take a long ferry ride to St Tropez from Nice, spend a few hours there and come back. Spend your time more wisely enjoying the French Riviera elsewhere.Written 30 October 2024
- tanyaw4020 contributionsnice but needs more signageA lovely ferry ride. Only issue is the lack of signage as to where to get tickets. There was no where with the company name on the ticket booth which was branded with a totally different company. i was confused as were many others which always ruins an overall experience.Written 12 September 2024
- dimuu0 contributionsExpensive way to St Tropez for just a few hoursBoat ride from Nice to St. Tropez from 9 AM to 7 PM, where you arrived around 12 PM and take the boat back at 4.30 PM. So you only have like 4 hours max in St Tropez and you pay 78 EUR for a round trip, that's expensive if you don't even have a half day to spend there and the round trip is for the same day, you can't take the way back on another day. On Tuesdays you have a central market, so you are already strolling through the market for 1 hour, then you only have 3 hours left to see some of the village, which is not enough. Of course I went back there and found a cheaper way. Just take the train to St Raphael for around 20 EUR round trip and there you take the boat to St Tropez with Les Bateaux Blues for 42 EUR a round trip and you decide your return date and time.Written 4 September 2024
- Ard8640 contributionsGreat way to get to Monaco from niceGreat new boat. Plenty of space onboard. Get there 30mins before scheduled time if you want to be at front of queue with max seat choices 35min to Monaco and 1hr return stopping for some commentary of sights on the route Note that Monaco drop off isn’t in main harbour, but but in port de fontvielle, not a problemWritten 13 August 2024
- 39aleksandrb0 contributionsGreat short tripVery nice trip. Only one minus: not enough time to explore the town especially considering 5 hours in a boat(in total). Maybe 1-2 extra hours and a departure at 17:30-18:30 gonna be a way better. Rest is great.Written 6 July 2024
- Wander279152958760 contributionsMore of a ferry booking than a excursionBe aware that this really is just a 2.5 hour ferry from Nice to St Tropez, 4 hours there to explore then catch the ferry back for another 2.5 hours of travel. The views of the coast are ok but taking a train from Nice to St Tropez would be faster, cheaper and unless the sea is totally calm far more comfortable.Written 21 June 2024
- Bronwyn W0 contributionsFantastic way to travel from Nice to MonacoThis was a great way to travel to spend the day in Monaco The boat was spotless and the skill of the captain and crew was immediately evident when leaving the quai and also, when mooring on arrival. The crew were friendly and professional and took great care in ensuring the safety of their passengers-helping those who were less steady to move around the boat ,embark/disembark etc. The commentary on the return trip was relaxed and informative and a nice addition to the trip. Would recommend this as a pleasant alternative option to get to Monaco rather than train or bus Thank youWritten 15 June 2024
- C1laaiire0 contributionsHorrendousThis was the most horrendous boat trip I’ve ever been on in my life. The conditions out at sea were horrific and we were not warmed. It should not have been allowed to go. There was no scenic views just people vomiting and screaming all around you. Staff just handed out sick bags to everyone. It was disgusting. An hour and a half of pure hell. Ruined the day in St Tropez because we were so sea sick. Had to spend over 4 hours getting home on a bus and train. No one around at ticket offices to complain to. Once they’ve got your money 120 euros too, not particularly cheap, they don’t care. Not exaggerating how horrendous it was.Written 30 October 2023

- cecilialegters0 contributionsDisappointedThe trip was really rough and we had to hold on tight. The boat went fast it was not a relaxing trip. My son had to throw up as well as other guests.... The whole purpose of taking this trip was to see the famous Monaco harbour from the sea. To see the famous coastline. It turned out that we entered a small harbour port de fontveille situated just before the famous harbour. When we were waiting for the last turn to see the famous harbour, we suddenly turned to the small harbour. So we did not get to see monaco from the sea, really disappointing. We decided to skip the return trip and took the train to Nice....Written 23 September 2023

- Cathl19710 contributionsToo long a visit to St MarguritteThere are no issues with the company itself, but 8 hours is too long here. An ideal solution would be to be able to jump on one of the frequent boats back and for to Cannes so you could spend a couple of hours there. We are just killing time til the boat arrives.Written 19 September 2023
- alexpanipi0 contributionsVery fun and scenic!I absolutely adored this trip! I was between taking the train or the ferry and I’m glad I went with the ferry, much better views. It was about a 35-45 minute cruise to get there and on the boat there are restrooms and a small bar with beer and soft drinks as well as chips ($). They dropped us off at port and let us roam free from 945am-445pm. I went to Monaco/ Monte Carlo were I ate food and walked around (you can find more reviews on my Instagram or yelp!) When they picked us up the trip back was 45-hour long because they gave us a little tour of the coast from Monaco to Nice. They showed us the aquarium, princes palace, the prison, yacht club and homes of famous people like Elton John!!! Overall would book again! Highly recommend!Written 15 September 2023

Really fun activity seeing the coastline up from Nice. The guide on the boat pointed out some celebrity houses which were some fun facts. Great opportunity to take some nice pictures and videos of the view (emphasis on the view as not possible to stand up on top deck). Lasted for about an hour I believe and is very inexpensive so would highly recommend adding this activity to your itinerary when in Nice.
It was very hot (first week of September) so make sure to take a cold water and maybe a handheld fan or you can stay downstairs which is more shaded.

Scenic cruise from promenades des anglais to villefranche. Boat was powerful and the cruise is great for money-value ratio, but we could not hear our guide at all. Onboard PA system can use upgrade. Still would recommend it for all visitors!

Views were great and every shot will be worthy of a postcard picture. Couldn’t hear the guide clearly when seated outside. Recommend the snorkeling trip if you want to take this just for the views and not interested to know the history and ownership of the villas.

Ship left and arrived back on time, the captain did a wonderful job at steering and making sure to reduce the sea sickness. The views are great and it is really worth spending that 1 hour to take a look at places to be visited later on foot.
On the other hand, while the guide was speaking decent English (or course, besides his native French), our feeling was that was obsessed more about who owns which villa and how much these cost, rather than adding more background information about Nice, it's harbor and overall "did you know that" facts.

Did exactly what it said on tin.
Boat arrived late (after we were told to be there half hour early) leaving large queue to bear the searing heat.
Embarkation was efficient and boat was deceptively large.
The commentary was in native French and English but after you have heard about yet another celeb’s luxury house costing more than the entire third world’s debt, you become a little disinterested.
The trip itself is one hour out from Nice to Cap Ferrat and allows a different view of the scenic coast, with the views coming back into Nice the highlight for me.
We chose this trip based on reviews and economy, and on both counts it delivered.

Nothing spectacular in general. Guide was speaking mostly French, like on every 10 min of French he was speaking 3 min in English. You do not suppose to live your place for pictures ever it was absolutely mild weather. It was like boring trip on the train. If you go directly to port you can buy it for 22 euros, but I would no give them more than 10.

The tour was excellent! We arrived 30 minutes before and we’re able to get a seat at the top of the boat so I would recommend getting their early to get a good seat. We didn’t have any cash for refreshments and they don’t take card, but the tour guide let us have a bottle of water for £2 instead, which was very kind of him!

Worth the $. Definitely get there early to checkin. Board boat up to 30 min before departure. Got good seats on top deck as early.
Unfortunately crowds of people who arrived later came up from the lower decks and stood in front of all of those seated on upper deck blocking all of our views. They blocked the stairways as well. Surprised they didn’t ask people to sit down especially after the tour guide had to crawl past people to get down the stairs.
Very hot day and they brought water and beverages to upper deck to sell for reasonable price.

Very nice experience and you can see Nice and coastline from the sea. It’s around one hour and tour guide giving overview of most important buildings in French and English. Weather in October was fantastic, 23 degrees, no wind.

We walked up and down the wharf and couldn’t figure out where we were supposed to exchange our Booking.com confirmation for the real tickets to board the boat. We eventually saw the boat we were guessing was the one we were supposed to be on, just as it was leaving the dock. The kids were especially disappointed as they were looking forward to the cruise. Waste of over $100 as there were 5 of us and the tickets were non refundable. We’ll be thinking really hard before paying for activities through Booking.com again, and advise others to select a different method of securing a cruise for anyone reading this review.

Can a toddler be brought for the cruise (15 months old) and is there a ticket required for her?

If this is the ferry that goes out and around the bay, most likely not. It wasn’t that interesting anyway.
