About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Anonymous9250 contributionsGood Tour, Very Crowded and TouristyWonderful tour through several incredibly touristy villages. None of these places are very authentic. They exist for the tourists. Are they beautiful? Absolutely. Are they worth seeing? Sure. Would I recommend this tour with this company? Yes. That being said, I felt a bit like I was in a Disney theme park with the long lines replaced by long drives. And, since no one reads this anyway, I'm going to rant for a minute on gratuities. After having spent a bunch of time in Europe, I used to think that "gratuities included" was fantastic. I'm beginning to second-guess that considerably. What I find is that in general, I get what I'm promised and nothing more. I really don't need to know the Wikipedia history of Gordes, France. I can Google that. But I travel because I'm a curious person. I like to know things about the region and what it's like to live there. The interesting things that I can't find online. I tend to ask those types of questions rather than questions specifically about a historic site where the information is readily available online. However, this is not what I am promised. I promised a history lesson of a region and this is what I'm delivered. Anything more seems to be an intrusion in privacy. I'm sure this is a cultural thing, but I would rather have a gratuity be part of the compensation and have someone need to work a little bit in order to earn that. Same seems to be true for all services, not just tour guides. Without gratuities, you get what you're owed and nothing more. I prefer gratuities.Written 16 September 2024

- Ellie W0 contributionsGreat winery and countryside tourEnjoyed the stops and wineries on this tour. We bought many bottles. Would not recommend to folks with mobility issues. Host could have offered water more frequently.Written 10 September 2024
- 975niab0 contributionsThey’re all highlights! We couldn’t choose our favourite. This’s is a brilliant one day tour where you get to see so much more than trying to do it yourselves. We had a car but opted to join this trip and I’m so glad we did. Our tour guide Anne was fantastic- really well informed about everything we saw and made a real point of making sure we saw everything from the best angle and she took photos for all of us all day. There was no highlight as each stop was a highlight on its own. We’d highly recommend this tour - and thank Anne for guiding us so brilliantly all day.Written 9 September 2024

- Kathy Z0 contributionsGreat way to see the wine country in a half a day!Really enjoyed this tour! We visited three tasting rooms, two of which were very quaint and had very good wine. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, and we did not feel pressured to make big wine purchases. Would highly recommend this tour!Written 7 September 2024
- Marybeth V0 contributionsFun tour and great intro to southern Rhône wines and region. Our tour guide Anna was very personable and extremely knowledgeable about the wines of the southern Rhône region. The tour was a great way to explore it.Written 6 September 2024
- hannahwS1855XW0 contributionsFantastic Wine Tour with Gordana! We had an amazing time on Gordana’s wine tour through Châteauneuf-du-Pape. She was incredibly communicative, energetic, and made the experience feel exclusive and tailored to us. Gordana’s deep knowledge and passion for wine really stood out, and we learned so much while having a fantastic time. If you’re looking for a fun and informative wine tour, she’s the perfect guide. Highly recommended!Written 5 September 2024
- clowills0 contributionsGorgeous time! Gorgeous wine!Anne was an angel! She made the experience a fabulous one! The amount of stops, information and variety of wine was worth the money! While we stop at each winery Anne was very knowledgable, accommodating and we won’t forget about the lovely photos she took of us! Highly recommend, great for couples and friends, perfect to meet a small group of people with a similar interest of wine!Written 5 September 2024
- K6071GJrichardh0 contributionsNatalie was a pleasure! The trip was a delight, full of history and wine. We really enjoyed all elements from the Roman theatre and aquaduxt to the wine tasting. Although we hadn’t planned on buying any wine we decided on 3 bottles for future family special occasions. Natalie was a wonderful host, she was warm and engaging but also informative and knowledgeable, likewise the wine specialist colleague!Written 3 September 2024
- 312kay0 contributionsBest highlightI had the best tour guide lady and best experience! The tour covered all major spots and nicely timed to give enough time for exploring. The best value for money! I will definitely come back for tours from this 3-lady business!!!!Written 26 August 2024
- 312kay0 contributionsBest wine tastingOur guide Ann is the best! She shares local knowledge about the wine and area, also insight about Avignon and life and culture here. All people i met at winery are down to earth, you just know their focus is really just about wine snd not seeing wine as one small part of big entertainment. Renaud from Le boutiniere is 4 months into the job, bit you can see he is making every effort there. I totally enjoyed this tour, best wine tasting!Written 24 August 2024
- karennJ8374VI0 contributionsWine tasting near AvignonAnne gave a great tour! Tons of interesting information on the region, tours of wines, soil, history and much more. We went to three wineries, a chocolate store and stopped a few times for pictures along the way! It was the perfect day. We actually stayed in Arles and took the train to Avignon. Very easy to do. Doing the half day tour is a must!Written 23 August 2024
- smjboise0 contributionsFantastic highlights tourThis is an excellent tour. Fantastic opportunity to see so many sights in the area and learn about each one. The tour guide is excellent at providing information about the area, tips to make each stop productive, and answering all questions. She also knows the best spots for photos and overlooks. The van is comfortable with AC. There is enough time at each stop to get a very good feel for each location. Highly recommend this tour.Written 20 August 2024
- jenniferkQ7817IA0 contributionsGoing downhill? We read super reviews about Gordana and the full day tour, but unfortunately we had Ann as a guide. Driving did not feel safe at all, and the trip felt rushed. I know Provence in one day is a lot, but based on previous reviews we were ready to have a great time. Anne was not warm. The focus was on what she wanted to say and it didn't feel like there was room for our questions or interacting with us. It sounds like Time 4 Provence is going downhill.Written 13 August 2024

Had a wonderful experience with Gordana on this tour. Very knowledgeable, friendly, excellent English and funny. Vehicle was excellent and bigger than most of the other 8 passengers vans used by others. Very willing to stop at what interested us. Also did another tour with William and had the same excellent experience. Highly recommend this company. I also think they cost a little less than some other tour companies.

We went to the south of France primarily because of a lifelong fascination with Van Gogh. Anne was our guide for this five-hour tour and we can't say enough good things about her. She's multilingual and expert in the culture and history of Provence as well as Van Gogh and other artists. She has also very kindly helped me follow up with a shop owner.
If we ever return to Arles and Anne and/or Gordana do a full-day tour, we'd like to take a closer look at the site of the Yellow House and the view from there of the harbor and of what used to be the "Poet's Garden" (Van Gogh's name for it) which was visible from VG's bedroom. It no longer has even the scruffy trees of Van Gogh's day, but it would be good to check out the original sites of the "garden" from the vantage point of the Yellow House's location, the police station diagonally across from the Yellow House, the original locations of Cafe de la Gare, and the Venissac restaurant which were also across from the park. We'd also like to see the general location of the House of Tolerance no.1 where VG took his ear to "Rachel"/Gaby. The short street still exists but the building is now a private home and the house number is not publicized. We'd also like, on our next trip, to go inside the monastery at Saint-Remy despite it being NEXT to the still-active asylum where VG stayed and not where he actually was treated. But the monastery has set up a room similar to what VG's room looked like and there are original art works by current patients that can be purchased. Also, the gardens of the monastery were painted extensively by Van Gogh so that is worth seeing.
We also want to thank Gordana who communicated with us by email during the planning of our trip...other reviews point out that she is also a terrific guide!
*It's good to know that this is a WALKING tour, mostly on cobblestone streets. Bring your best walking shoes.*

Gordana was a wonderful, intelligent guide. The tour itself was just the right length and we loved the fact that it was a bus tour only in going from place to place. In the 3 places we visited we got to walk around and even had some free time to sit in cafes and absorb atmosphere. Gordana was punctual, the mini-van was spotless, and I would recommend her company to anyone who wants to do day trips from Avignon.

We loved this tour because not only was it incredibly picturesque but we learned so much. Tour driver was very, very knowledgeable and patient, probably because he was a local. Every thing was run on time, and the cost was quite reasonable.

Gordana did a great job showing us all the Van Gough highlights around Avignon. She is very knowledgeable and kept us entertained. I would highly recommend this tour. We also took the Roman history/viaduct tour and it was just as informative.

Is this a small group tour, or a larger bus?
Written 15 August 2019
Hi,
This is a small group tour. I think they normally have a mini-van (6-8 person capacity) but when my husband and I went it was only the two of us and our tour operator drove us in her very nice new car.
