Excellent guided tour of Provence villages
We enjoyed our group tour of Provence and surrounding villages. The guide was very good. We had time to enjoy all the different aspects of Provençal life.

Great tour. The van was comfortable and the ride was smooth. We saw some awesome sites during the ride and got to explore others on our own. Our driver, David, was informative, patient, polite, accommodating, and fun. We would highly recommend this trip (and David) for a relaxing and interactive visit to this beautiful area of France.

Thoroughly enjoyed our tour with David! Learnt so much about wine of the regions and enjoyed a tasty lunch with great company. Very comfortable transport and great selection of wineries. Will look for more tours from this provider on our next visit to Avignon. 😊

        Wine tasting in Provence.
The Half Day wine tour was very good. We enjoyed learning about Chateauneuf du Pape wines and the region. We loved the wine tasting and the drive through the towns.

Great taxi service. Definitely not a guided tour.
We enjoyed visiting the 5 or so cities the tour highlighted. There was a variety to see of the Provence area. Our issue was the driver was also the tour guide and no listening devices were offered. At least 80% of the information and details of the area that was provided was given as she was driving and facing forward. We were in a 3 row passenger van. The first row heard most of what she said, the second row heard some and the third heard absolutely nothing. We were dropped off in all but two of the stops and left to navigate/tour on our own. I honestly can’t recommend this tour unless you’re just looking for a taxi service.

        Wonderful day.
We really enjoyed and recommend this all day tour. Brigitte was a great guide. We were able to do walking on our own at each site which we enjoyed. Thanks for a wonderful day.

        Great sights, poor delivery
Provence was great but sitting at the back of the van I could hear perhaps 20% of what the tour guide said, even after saying I couldn't hear. On a long tour that's hours of frustration, not professional and definitely not value for money.

Experience and learn about wine production in the Cotes-du-Rhone with a professional guide to drive and inform.
Our guide Thierry was very professional and we learned so much about wine production in the Cotes-du-Rhone region from him. Driving from Avignon we took a short walk through the stunningly beautiful village of Seguret moving on to a small family run vinery were we experienced the Grenache grapes being sorted, tasting a few which were delicious and had a tour of the vinery itself before some wine tastings, no pressure to buy but couldn’t resist buying a bottle. Next we took a 30 minute drive up to the vineyard of Chateauneuf Du Pape with its imposing building and countryside of grapes. We had a private wine tastings experience of three of their great wines, here we brought a bottle of their Domaine de Tout Vente, made with 100% Grenache grapes. There were many bottles for sale on display, prices starting from around 10 euros. Such a great tour. We headed back to Avignon with so much more knowledge than when we set off.

Terrific small group tour of important Provence destinations
We saw so many places that we could not have seen on our own and although it was a very long day the guide made the driving and the tour very enjoyable.

Great tour. So great to not have to think about parking, driving and directions. This covers a lot of good sights. Bring your own water! Other folks on tour fun!

A great time exploring quaint and historic villages.
We had a fabulous day exploring the stunning villages of Roussillon, Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, Gourde, St Remi and the Roman Aqueduct. Our guide Brigette was very friendly and knowledgeable. A great time was had by all. Highly recommend.

        worth doing
There were 5 people on this tour with guide Bridgitte.Sadly a wet day and Bridgitte very considerate and rearranged the village order to suit the weather. By the time we got to St. Remy it had stopped raining, and ended at the amazing ponte garde. Lunch at Fontaine de Vauclause where it was pouring so an hour in a nice French restaurant ideal. all in all a great day tour

        Our South of France tour
The tour was very well guided and overall was excellent - the driver/guide (Thierry) gave a very good outline of the history of Avignon, Nîmes and giving us sufficient time explore. There was just the issue on the meeting point pick up miscommunication which caused the tour to be delayed - felt the operator was not very responsive.

        Geweldig
David was an excellent guide and has a passion and knowledge about grape cultivation. The first wine testing place he took us was a local small winery where the owner personally led the tasting and wine selection was exceptional. We left the tour with a box of wine we bought from both the local winery and cave, I think it says enough about how much we liked it 😉

I'm a casual wine enthusiast from California who knows very little about French wines, so I was excited to get the opportunity to get explore the region.

Our guide Thierry picked us up right on time. He immediately put us at ease and got everyone acquainted. He asked us about our level of knowledge, interests, and our goals for the day.

I was really to have a very small tour group: just myself and one couple. The couple are very serious and knowledgeable about their wines, and I was very lucky to spend the day with such friendly and enthusiastic folks.

Our guide Thierry was able to tailor the tour on the fly to meet our interests, and he continued to do so over the course of the day. Our schedule was somewhat fluid based on how long we spent at the various tastings, the schedules and business of the various wineries, and the duration of lunch.

Every stop had wines ranging from very good to wow! Provence is beautiful, and each stop was either in a pretty village or some gorgeous spot in the countryside. All the folks working at the tasting rooms were extremely knowledgeable and passionate about their wines.

Towards the end of the day (it was Saturday) the folks at the last winery seemed to really enjoy our enthusiasm, especially with the other couple on the tour, and they started bringing out some very old and special bottles to taste. I was really privileged to get to try some wines that I never would have otherwise.

Along the way we all bought some wine and the wineries/tasting rooms were all happy to ship them to the US for us. Shipping is indeed a significant cost, but since the bottles are destined for export, the VAT is deducted, which offsets most of the shipping costs.

We were extremely fortunate to have Thierry as our guide. He is extremely knowledgeable about wine, all the wineries in the region, the people involved, and the business. In addition, he's great to talk with, and he has a talent for making everyone feel at ease.

As an aside, a full day of wine tasting requires some stamina. I recommend eating a heavy breakfast beforehand, and continually drink water throughout the day. If this is your first time, perhaps the half day tour would be a good place to start.

I highly recommend this tour, especially with Thierry.

We had an amazing wine tour, made amazing by our incredible guide David. We did four wine tastings along with winery tours and discussions about the winemaking process. David answered all our questions, really interacted withe the people on the tour, and was incredibly knowledgeable and charming.

David was a fantastic guide with a wealth of knowledge about the area and its history, vines, soils (and rocks) wine making processes and wines. Delicious wines to taste from very informative vineyard staff. Spectacular views along the way. We had a good group of people on our tour(6 total ) which made for a great day out. Highly recommend this tour.

So this could have been a good tour, unfortunately the company combined a french and english group, unapologetically so.

So on the ride there the guide would speak in english then yell through us in french ( as the group in the back were french speakers). This went on for the entire tour. He would go back and forth speaking in french then english then vica versa for each area we went to. Not just for each stop in the tour but for each questions asked.

This was unacceptable for The following reasons 1. the tour description said it was supposed to be in english. It is grating to hear a guide speaking and yelling in a language you don't understand (thankfully i brought earplugs) 2. The guide speaking in two languages delaying the tour due him having to repeat everything twice hence we saw a lot less then we could have 3. We got less information than we could have as the guide was busy with the other group 1/2 the time speaking french. 4 and most importantly the stop and start nature of the experience as well as waiting around for the guide to finish the translation was frustrating to say the least. In conclusion the company was not transparent with this set up of of the guide speaking 2 languages through the tour When we voiced our displeasure the guides attitude in regard to it was very let us say to be kind indifferent. Choose a different tour that would be my recommendation.

We had booked an English tour for couples months in advance. The tour description clearly states that minimum of 2 people are required for the tour. On the day of the tour, when we got in the bus I was told that it will be multi- lingual tour (French for the 5 guys and English for us) and everything was downhill from there. The tour was 80% French and we didn’t understand anything. The guide would chime in every now and then for us with high level remarks. I was told I could ask any question and when I did, I was lectured that answering my question would bore the French guys. Seriously? When you are doing all the talking in French, am I being entertained? As result of this language transition they skipped portions of the tour they had promised in the tour description. The Gigondas was completely skipped and replaced by a horrible winery in C Du Pape ( Chateau Fortia) where nitrogen sealed wines tasted like piece of crap. God knows when the bottles were opened. They were running short on time so there was no walk through the villages. Overall it was very disappointing and a colossal waste of money. I would not recommend this tour company to English speaking visitors. I am thinking of calling the credit card company to dispute this charge. I have not named the guide because he did what the tour company asked him to. But do yourselves a favor and try looking for another company with better credibility.

My husband and I had a fantastic time on our full day tour of Chateauneuf. I had been there 10yrs ago and loved it but learned so much more this time with Thierry. He was very knowledgeable but in a fun, interactive way - not just spouting off facts. He tailored part of our tour to availability of the elusive White Chateauneuf so we would be sure to try it which was great. We also stopped along the way in a charming small village and walked around a bit.

We had a delightful, leisurely lunch at Fin Roche which is a gorgeous castle with beautiful views of the vineyards. I mentioned that I remembered a winery nearby that I really enjoyed (Chateau La Nerthe) and he was able to call and get us in for a tasting at the end of the day which was by far my favorite (again :)

Overall a really great day - not your average wine tour, definitely recommend!!

Our tour guide, Nico, was excellent. He was entertaining, very knowledgeable and spoke very good English. We stopped at two wineries, one in the village of Chateauneuf du Pape and the other in Seguret, part of the Cotes du Rhone region. We also stopped for lunch that was included with the price of the tour at a restaurant that was within a castle near the village of CDP. This tasting was great for beginners as well as more experienced wine tasters. This was a great day that started around 9am and ended around 530.

Niccolae, the tour guide, was very personable and knowledgeable about the Rhone region. We only visited 4 wineries, in CdP, Gigondas and Marchon, but had vertical tastings (by year) that are not typical or cost extra at most winery tasting rooms. And lunch was excellent.

WE are very experienced travelers, and no strangers to guided tours. This tour with Nico was without question the finest guided tour we have ever had. He took us for an entire day, choosing one winery in the morning, a wonderful lunch nearby, and then two more wineries. These were good quality wine producers, not the less desirable places that often cater to tours. He took us into the vineyards where he explain the value of microclimates, different soil types, stones on the ground, and elevation. At each winery he was the one he provided us with the tasting, showing great knowledge of the wines and the producers. The vehicle was comfortable and air conditioned. Although we are experienced wine drinkers and collectors, we ended up the day with a much deeper understanding of the wine blending of this region. I HEARTILY recommend this tour as the best possible introduction. Thanks, Nico!!!

We made a detour in our trip to southern France to take this wine tour. We’ve taken quite a few, and this was the best we’ve done. Thierry picked us promptly at 9, and kept us engaged with his extensive knowledge of the history of the area (he leads history tours, too) and the wines of the area. He shaped the tour to our tastes in wine, and added a few he thought we’d like, as well. (We did). We visited a number (5) of smaller wineries with excellent wines and great stories that we would not have had on a larger tour.
If you like Chateauneuf du Pape, this tour is a must.
