Winter wonderland- like in a movie!
I really enjoyed my guided tour to Mont Saint-Michel from Le Havre! Guide shared fascinating stories along the way and as always bus ride with this company are very comfortable. The medieval abbey is absolutely stunning—definitely worth the trip, even in winter! We returned to the port with no worries. If you're visiting Le Havre and you're fed up with Paris, this tour is a must-do!

Excellent! All-in-One Normandy D-Day Landing Beaches
This tour of the D-Day Landing Beaches, the American and German Cemeteries, Pointe du Hoc, and Omaha Beach was exceptionally well-organized, informative, and engaging. It was professional and struck a perfect balance between group activities and free time at each site. The schedule included bathroom breaks and time for a delicious lunch (with special dietary requests accommodated). Our tour guide, Bertrand, was an absolute gem. Throughout the day, he provided exceptional care and meticulous attention to detail. Not only was he informative, knowledgeable, and engaging, but his sense of humor and storytelling made the tour both vivid and memorable. Bertrand’s ability to adapt the itinerary whenever necessary ensured that we had the best experience at each location on the tour. The visual aids he used during the tour further enhanced the experience, making it an unforgettable journey. Ahmed, an exceptional driver, skillfully navigated through narrow streets and turns. When the road to one of our stops was unexpectedly closed, Ahmed promptly devised an alternate route and arrived at the location, ensuring our on-time arrival for the ceremony. Contacting Vexperio, the tour company (through Tripadvisor), was a breeze. I mainly interacted with Kinga, who was incredibly accommodating, prompt and clear in her responses, very helpful, and extremely personable. In short, this tour and the tour company is wonderful. The tour guide was exceptional, the driver was skillful, and our visit to the Normandy D-Day Landing Beaches was fantastic. And the special surprise at the end of the day was a class act! If you’re looking for an unforgettable day trip and an incredible experience, be sure to book this tour!

D-Day Normandy tour in one day
In the short time frame we had off the ship we were able to view numerous aspects and sites involving the D-Day invasion. Valerie, our guide, is from the area and was very knowledgeable about the details of the tour. I gathered further knowledge of the D-Day events. An excellent box lunch was provided! Valerie said she doubted many of us had ever visited a WW2 German bunker. She looked perplexed when I stated that I had indeed been in a bunker and been shot at by Germans……Call of Duty video game!

You obviously can't do Paris in a few hours, but if you have a few hours, this was a great visit
I booked this tour since our cruise ship arrived in Le Havre at 700 and we weren't leaving until 2000--so we had a full day. Since it was not "cruise-ship approved" tour (not sponsored by the cruise), the buses have to park a little further away, but not too far out of the way that you have to walk a long way. The bus did not have any USB plugs for your phone or AC outlets, so bring a portable charger if you need to keep your phone charged (after a full day of pictures and using the maps app, I'm glad I brought my portable charger). The trip was about 2.5-3 hours. Traffic was fine--no backups or issues that delayed our trip. We did stop about an hour outside of Paris for a reststop/bathroom break. The issue with this though is that all the other buses (both from our cruise and other cruises) seems to stop there. Hence, there is a huge group of people looking to use the bathroom and buy refreshments and souvenirs and the line to check out is long. Keep this in mind since the stop is only supposed to be about 15-20 minutes--and one person can delay holding up the whole bus. The drop off was near the Eiffel Tower, and the pick up was near the Arc de Triomphe. The guide, Robbie, provided a map and was kind enough to share his contact information should tardiness or getting lost in the city. After I got off the bus, I was provided a bottle of water and a cup that had a Madeleine and two macarons! What a little treat--completely unexpected but appreciated! The day was on my own, and the bus was at the pick-up location even an hour before the meet-up time. We had 5 hours in Paris before having to meet up at 1500. When I got back to bus, Robbie was pouring French sparkling wine to all the riders! Another unexpected treat. The ride back was smooth; we again stopped about hour before arrival back in port. We were back a good hour before the posted back-on-ship time. Robbie and driver, Fabrice, were wonderful guides for the day. Thanks!

      Awesome trip to Paris.
We had a awesome time, the bus ride made it back with plenty of time. MOST importantly we made it to Paris got a tour ,got off at Eiffle tower, and Arc de Triumph, and lunch at a Paris street Cafe. It's was very nice Glad we did it! Half the price of our ship excursion.

      Wonderful tour
We wanted to give a review of the tour we took in October 2024 to Normandy and the WWII memorial sites. We took a tour bus from the cruise port in Le Havre and it was a wonderful tour. Our tour guide was Bertrand and he was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive to all of us; making sure we were all accounted for, aware of time constraints and that we were all satisfied with the tour. He was so kind and we appreciated all his information that he shared of the specific sites. We would say that Vexperio was a 5 star tour site.

      Great Tour and Experience
We experienced a beautiful day and a great tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and pointed out some facts that made the tour more enjoyable and informative. He took the time to answer our questions and showed us pictures of the actual D Day conflict. We stood in the exact same place as shown in the pictures. It helped bring to life what those Brave soldiers experienced that terrible day. He handed out maps to help us better understand where we were specifically. We got to see the lowering of the flag ceremony at the American cemetery. A moving experience in the silence, reverence and respect for the lives who fought and gave the ultimate sacrifice for freedom. Overall it was a good experience and I highly recommend this tour.

Our cruise line canceled our excursion to Paris, so we booked this trip. I was nervous leading up to it, knowing it was far and we would have to be back on the boat by a specific time. They made everything super easy and we were back on the boat with plenty of time. They gave us snacks and water when we got to Paris and a little champagne when we headed it out. Some people had a little trouble finding the bus, but we had no trouble at all. I highly recommend this.

      Interesting Tour, Great Guide
The trip went to four different, very interesting sites. Bertrand was an amazing tour guide and had something unique to say at each site. We really enjoyed the tour (and the lunch!)

Both very educational and emotional tour
Visiting the D-Day beaches is a humbling experience.... memorials and museums remind you of what happened. You can't help but feel respect for those who fought here. It's worth a visit to remember and learn from the past, we had great tour.

      Sentimental journey..
Max and Michael were a team on handling all the guests. Patience and safety were at hand all day;) the sights and sounds of Normandy was an eye opener for an individual like me with such short and narrow knowledge about the fate our young soldiers went through and made history. A bittersweet experience indeed!!

The tour was a long day, as expected, and we were able to hit the high points with ample time at each stop. Our guide, Bertrand, was careful to spend time at the beginning of each stop to orient our group of the historical and practical features of the site we were visiting - along with plenty of vintage photos of each location. After to each stop's orientation, he made himself available to the group for further questions and guidance.

He gave background on the build-up to D-day on the coach ride from the cruise port, complete with maps for everyone to follow along.

The packed lunch was tasty and substantial, and we were fortunate with the weather to be able to enjoy lunch as an outdoor picnic. I appreciated having a packed lunch instead of lunch at a local restaurant because it allowed us more time to explore the stops we took the tour to see.

Highly recommend for people who want to maximize their time on a one day tour of D-day beaches at Normandy.

Superb trip! They met us at the cruise terminal with clearly marked signs. The bus was very comfortable. The itinerary fit exactly into the time our port stop allowed... even added a short stop for souvenirs on the way back because we were a few minutes early. Our guide, anne-sophie, was amazing... knowledge, well- spoken, had pictures to help explain things, and was immensely personable. Perfect trip! Highly recommended.

Our tour of Normandy D-Day beaches and cemeteries was so much better than we could have expected. Pre tour communication was excellent and getting on the tour was easy and smooth. During our bus ride to the Normandy area, our guide Ash gave us an in-depth history of events leading up to D- Day. Ash was a really fun guide. He had so much information, but also made it interesting and fun. It seems like we had just the right amount of time at each of our stops and the operator made sure we made it back to the cruise ship in plenty of time. Our box lunch was excellent, and we had a much appreciated surprise on the bus. Our driver David was also excellent and fun. We highly recommend this tour! Ask for Ash! We had a very memorable day!!

I am generally not a fan of all-day tours, nor of getting going early, especially when on a cruise. But this was a very, very worthy exception for when our cruise docked in LeHavre.

We had an extremely knowledgeable tour guide, Bertrand, who went out of his way to make our 10-hour tour as educational and, in my view, interesting as possible. He shared so much history as we drove to the major D-Day sites in Lower Normandy. The three most prominent sites where we stopped and could walk around were (1) Pointe du Hoc, where the US Army Rangers scaled the beach cliffs to disable the German guns to thereby enable the landing; (2) Omaha Beach itself; and (3) the American Cemetery. At these and other sites, Bertrand gave an educational talk for those who were interested but also allowed time for everyone to explore on their own. Time was an issue, especially at the American Cemetery, where we only had just under an hour but really needed two. It’s possible that an earlier stop at a German cemetery (amazing as a very understated contrast to the incredibly beautiful, peaceful, majestic, and solemn American cemetery) could have been dropped, or maybe we could have just driven by the beach instead of stopping there. Then again, walking near the beach was amazing, and we patronized a small cafe right on the beach. Perhaps the tour just needs to be 11 hours.

The only negative for me was that food and drink were very limited. We had very few to no opportunities to get food or drink at any stop, and the tour provided just one bottle of water and a box lunch. I’m a rather particular eater with some limitations, so I made a special request in advance. They messed up and didn’t pack my special request lunch, so I was stuck without a lunch and luckily had brought a protein bar. I think they should provide more food options and perhaps build in a stop at a location where there are some cafes. But, as it is when we took the tour, be aware that you won’t get much in the way of food or drink, or the opportunity to even buy some anywhere.

We took this tour because my husband is a history/WWII buff- honestly, it would not have been my choice. However, I ended up loving it! Normandy is beautiful making the drive enjoyable. Our tour guide, Caroline, was very knowledgeable and clearly enjoyed history. She was able to tell us all about the 80th anniversary events and mentioned several of the museums in the area. She was also able to talk about some of the changes made at some of the sites. It never felt like she was reading from a script, just that she was telling a story. My only complaint is that I would have liked to learn more about Normandy in general, but that was not the point of the tour.

We were on Bus 2 of 3 three on this day and “Bert” was our guide. Bert did an outstanding job. He provided us with a background of the area we were visiting (lower Normandy), of the military situation leading up to D-Day, and then of the events on that day through the battle of Normandy. Bert hit exactly the right amount of information to provide without constantly droning on and overwhelming us. Bert kept us on a perfect timetable getting to the sites and just the right time, like to the American Cemetery just before the flag lowering ceremony. We’ve been on many shore excursions over the years and this was definitely a top ten experience. Thank you Bert for a great day!!

We had an excellent tour! Bravo to our guide who graciously helped out another bus who’s driver was injuries and could not continue. He immediately rearranged buses to accommodate all and continue with both tour groups. Very calm cool and collected- very impressive both he and our driver. Additionally he provided enough information and details without overwhelming us

Our guide Bertrand was great! He met us at the port as soon as got off the ship and right away we were whisked across the countryside to see war graves, the location of German guns, and Omaha Beach.

Along the way Bertrand is a clear overview of WWII leading up to D-Day, the 5 beaches, and several heartbreaking stories of individuals that gave their lives on the beaches of Normandy.

Bathrooms were freely available throughout the day. The weather was warm, but the air conditioning on the coach really did its job - I was even a bit chilly!

Lunch was provided - a great big French baguette, potato chips, cake, and a bottle of water (they had loads of extra water, too).

Bertrand clearly knows and loves his history. He even sat with Canadian guests on the coach on the way home to talk in detail about the Canadian landings.

All in all we had a great day. It was a packed itinerary and I’m so happy we took the day to see everything!

Ash our guide and David our driver were wonderful. You visit so much in such a small portion of time and they did a good job of fitting in as much as possible in that time. Would suggest if you have just a day in and around the area. Especially good for the cruise stops!

Very disappointed with our guide. after reading the rave reviews from people about how the guide made it the best experience ever. I was so excited! Our young man provided information, as from a book… I kept waiting for some emotion or personalization that would make it very real to us as we visited each beach... and maybe a little extra personal commentary about the area and the people. Nothing was mentioned about the 80th anniversary of D Day. I mentioned it, and he said… Oh, there are celebrations all the time… the beaches were wonderful to visit, and the cemetery was extraordinary! However, except for some facts presented in a very unmoving way, it was a real letdown... I wish I could do it all over again with a guide who was really excited about the trip and sharing all he or she could!

Dear Heidi, I’m truly sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations. It’s disappointing to know that the guide's presentation lacked the emotional connection and personalization you were hoping for, especially given the significance of the D-Day anniversary. We take pride in providing guides who are passionate and engaging, and I apologize that this wasn’t reflected in your experience. Please reach out to us at info@vexperio.com so we can discuss this further and work on improving our tours. Thank you for your feedback, and I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the beaches and cemetery. Best regards, Natalia Vexperio
