We want to- first and foremost- wow that this is the Paris Museum Pass, which can be worthwhile and useful and save money- and NOT the Paris Pass, in which one loses money and doesn’t save everyone.
This Paris Museum Pass is as its name states: if they are offering boat rides and metro passes- that’s the wrong one.
Having said that, the two day pass is worthwhile if you will visit at least two covered museums on both of the days.

Good way to see the museums and get a free river cruise on Seine around Paris. Only trouble is there are far to many museums to see in 2 days.

We were advised when purchasing the Museum pass at the airport that we would need to schedule an appointment time at the Louvre in addition to having the Museum Pass. We saw a LOT of Museum Pass holders turned away at the Louvre b/c they didn't have a scheduled entrance time.
Also, the Orsay Museum does not honor the Museum Pass for skipping the line on Tuesdays b/c the Louvre is closed Tuesday and it's their busiest day (at least this was our experience in early August).
If you visit at least 3-4 museums, the pass will usually pay for itself, but the real bonus is being able to skip ahead of the line!

Bordering on a scam. I bought 30 for a group spending three days in Paris. Just try making a reservation for an entry time at any of the sites that require or suggest a reservation. The PMP website is useless. Have a question about how to make these bookings? They refer you to the "contact" area on their own site. It doesn't exist.
I've had to contact each of the museums that suggest an advance reservation to determine their procedures. PMP has no trouble selling you the pass, but have zero customer support afterward.

Jan. 2020 • Friends
I don’t think buying this card did any good for us during our weekend in Paris. It does not give you access to the Eiffel Tower (not even the lousy 1st floor) which is basically the most important symbol of Paris. Also it does not give you Skip the Line right in Versailles which is kind of a big deal since you spend 1 hour waiting in line and only have 2 days to use the card.. it does get you to a faster line in Louvre but it’s the same queue for the people who bought the regular ticket online.. soooo still a big queue. Anyway I think in 2 days you don’t have time to see half of what the card has to offer because 1) there is always a line 2) the monuments are far apart from each other most of the time you can’t walk from one place to the other and have to catch the RER or Metró which makes you waste time in transports. So I recommend you checking for single entrance in each one of the atractions. Pay attention that the Arch de Triumphe has been closing on saturdays due to social movements, this was important and nobody told us that at the ticket office in gare du nord. Actually they didn’t tell us anything useful because the people there don’t speak English and just keep responding to you in French..

PROS: Tons of access; big variety of art, architecture, history - this is a great deal for you! Definitely worth the cost. Easily obtained at any venue it covers - you don’t have to go somewhere else to purchase it.
CONS: Many locations were closed on the days we were there or for renovation, without notification.
Overall: Great value for the cost and we would use it again to visit the other sites that were closed.

We were staying in Paris for six days and purchased a Paris Pass. to enable us to get into some of the museums and jump the queue. The Pass is valid forte consecutive days. Trouble is that Paris museums are closed on Tuesdays and we first used the pass on a Tuesday.
It was OK the next day but we seem to have wasted half of the value by not checking if museums were open.

We bought a 4 day pass and it was all worth it! We were able to hit all our itinerary and saved more than 30 euro. I was expecting a fast pass but I don't think there is such thing, the only time you will save is buying the ticket which was a long line. Pick up location was easy to find, about 7 minutes walk from the Louvre. I would highly recommend!

We purchased the 6 day museum pass and had it posted to our hotel. It was there when we checked in and we cannot recommend this pass enough. We chose the 6 day pass as it gave us flexibility for our whole time in Paris even though we knew we would not be using it for 2 days whilst at Disney or during a Public holiday. We ended up visiting 10 attractions using this pass which we do not think would have been possible without it. Jumping the queues at the big museums maximised our time and kept us much drier than the poor folk waiting for at least 30 minutes in the rain to buy their tickets. This pass offers value for money and the opportunity to see more, we visited a few places that we might not have without it and they were great surprises that added to our Paris trip. We saved approximately €30 - 40 each by having this pass.

The amount of money for Paris Museum Pass 2 Days covers the prices of the tickets for 3-4 museums, and so you avoid the line, in case you want to buy tickets from the museum. Also it's a solution for the days you pass during a city break.

Question to those who recently used the PMP. Just want to confirm for 2 day pass, if I first use it say 9pm Tuesday, then I can use it till 8:59pm Thursday right?
I’ve read it used to be by day but changed a few months ago to 48 hours from first use. Just want to confirm from someone who actually used it this way.
Thanks

That’s right. Your pass is activated the first time it is scanned when you use it.
Hello! The date you are to enter to purchase this pass, is it pick up date or activation date?
Scrumpy J
Long Beach, CA133 contributions
The pass isn't activated until the first time you use it (and it gets scanned). It's active for 48 hours after that. So it wouldn't matter what dates you enter. (I'm not sure why it asks you to enter dates in the first place. It must just be the third-party seller on this site.)

ScrumpyJ_12only used the Paris Metro. We got lost and got off at wrong stop. How did he/she know where to get on/off for the various stops that were made?
Scrumpy J
Long Beach, CA133 contributions
Hi, suziluce. There are a couple things you can do. (1) Get a map of the Paris metro (either a physical one or download it online). Looking at that should enable you to work out the closest stop to your destination and how to get there from where you are (including any stops at which you might need to transfer to another line). The easiest way to make a mistake is to get on the right line but going the wrong way. To avoid this, pay attention to the last stop on that line in the direction you want to head. (For example, getting on line 12 toward Mairie d'Issay will take you one direction, while line 12 toward Front Populaire will take you the other.) When in doubt, don't hesitate to ask questions of the people working in the ticketing booths. We found them to be generally friendly and helpful when figuring things out. (2) The easiest way to navigate all this is to remember that the internet is your best friend. We paid $10/day to our phone provider to be able to use the data plan on our phone internationally while traveling. That let us use Google Maps and Apple Maps on our phone to navigate (as well as look up reviews for restaurants and other things). This was one of the best decisions we made. It made getting around very easy and was definitely worth the relatively small amount of money. (Wouldn't you pay $10/day to make your trip much more enjoyable?) In the map apps, you can select what mode of transportation you want the directions to include: walking, driving, or public transportation. The directions for public transportation were very detailed. They would direct us to the right metro station, tell us which line to get on in which direction, tell us what stop to get off at, and which exit to take out of the metro (when there were multiple options)--all in real time! That's the simplest way to go. Happy travels!

How can I have the pass delivered at my hotel where I’d be staying. Also, can I just show ticket on phone or do I need a hard copy?
dmlc58
New Haven, CT252 contributions
You cannot scan your phone because the pass is dated. Though no one looked at the date on the pass it is activated with your first scan. At least that’s what I was told. Really you should just buy the pass at the first information center such is at the airport or your hotel. do not pre-order it’s not worth it
Does this include the palace of versailles

No it does not- the entire list of inclusions is on the site that sells the pass
I am still wondering, if I am purchasing my pass in advance, is the date I put in the system representative of when I will pick up the pass?
Scrumpy J
Long Beach, CA133 contributions
I'm not sure why the system requires you to put in a date. The pass isn't activated until it gets scanned the first time you use it. So, my best guess is that the date would be the pickup date. Of course, they are available at multiple locations in the airports and train stations. So you could just pick one up when you arrive (probably cheaper).
