Private day tour to Honfleur and Etretat with Clewel Travel Experiences
Our one day tour to Honfleur and Etretat was one of the highlights of our 11 day stay in France. And the credit for this goes to Olga, our private guide. She was FANTASTIC. Again, this was one of our most enjoyable experiences of the entire trip. I would choose this company over and over again and I have been a travel consultant for over 20 years. Excellent day. Thank you, Olga! And thank you too, Cyrus. I so glad I found your company!

Interesting day in the Loire Valley
We toured two castles in Loire Valley with our guide, Olga, who we found on TripAdvisor. We had some time restrictions that Olga was very accommodating with. Most importantly, she used our time well both in the selection of castles we saw, the winery and the history she provided. We all went away feeling as though we had learned so much! I love traveling with a knowledgeable, well-researched guide. Olga did not disappoint!

        Excellent tour!!!
We had an awesome tour!!! If you want a great experience with the best tour guide ask for Cyrus his knowledge of history was amazing . Mont St Michel is something not to miss. The small towns were beautiful and a nice addition to the tour. Cyrus timed our Normandy tour so we could see the lowering of the flag at the American Cemetery. There are no words to describe that. Don’t miss this tour. Thank you Cyrus!!

Hour Late - Missed Parts - No useful information provided
Car was over an hour late so we lost time on actual tour and garden time. Tour guide barely spoke or provided information beyond what you could just read on the stands. Also, tour guide was not allowed to give tour of the most important part of the palace.

We choose this trip as it was the only way to do Normandy & St Michael in one day. It was quite expensive but for the personnel car, driver, & tour guide it is a fair price. The driver Alex, was great. Courteous & professional the entire day, I felt safe on the ride at all times. Our tour guide was knowledgeable & nice. However, he did fall asleep multiple times in the car & seem have issues with transportation which caused us to loose part of our day to pick him up.

        Fantastic
Cyrus was really helpful in advising on the best tour and throughout the process he was really helpful. Roman was our guide for our tour in the Chablis and Burgundy region, he was outstanding. He shared a lot of knowledge on the places we visited as well as the sites on our journey, he took lots of photos for us and was great. We visited 4 wineries, tasted at least 20 different wines. All of the visits to the wineries included tours of the cellars and an explanation of the wine making process. We stopped for a wonderful lunch in Chablis in amazing surroundings. I would highly recommend this tour.

        The Perfect Day!
What a perfect day from start to finish! Everything was communicated very clearly about the entire trip. Alexander picked us up at our hotel, and made sure my Mom and I were happy and taken care of all day. You are packing a LOT in, in one day, but you know that going in. This is the perfect trip for people on time constraints who still want to check these places off their bucket list. Such a beautiful, historic experience. Honored to have visited on the 80th anniversary. Thank you again to Alexander, the most wonderful guide!!

Castle Small Group Trip - an Amazing Experience
Our small group tour of the Loire Valley, with visits to Chambord, Chenonceau and DaVinci castles, lunch in Amboise and a visit to a winery was beyond amazing! Our tour guide, Ilia, and his driver made the perfect duo for a worry-free and enjoyable ride through the Loire Valley. This tour is a MUST do, for all travelers to Paris. Ilia, our guide, was very knowledgeable and informative, and ready to answer any and all questions we had. Of special note, one member of our party required extra assistance and use of a wheelchair. Ilia went above and beyond and pushed the wheelchair on all types of terrain, to ensure our comfort and enjoyment throughout the trip, We were so grateful for his genuine kindness and his enthusiasm when speaking about the history surrounding the region. As a side note, we had left some items in the Mercedes van, and Ilia went out of his way to return them to our hotel the following day. Ilia and his driver were first-class and we HIGHLY recommend this experience.

Truly appreciate our guide Helen for her knowledge of the tour. She was informative and did not hesitate to share all that she knows with us. She was helpful and very understanding towards a little crisis that my family faced during the tour. Helen’s kindness is commendable! Thank you so much Helen!

The tour operator emailed the day before our trip to say other people in our van had cancelled, so it would cost us an extra 250 Euros to keep the trip. He also threatened to cancel the reservation as he had contacted us the day before with no reply and the contract said he could cancel. As I was walking through Paris at the time, I had no way to confirm this so went along. When I got back to the hotel, I checked my trip advisor account and found that 1. he had not previously contact me 2. there was no clause that said he could cancel if I didnt reply to an email.

The tour operator did offer to move the reservation by a day and keep the original price. Thankfully we had room in our itinerary to do that and agreed.

At 10pm he emailed again to say he was completely cancelling (we had to be up at 6am to meet the van). We ended up renting a car and doing the tour on our own. It was 1/4 the cost, and a wonderful trip.

The stress caused by this gentleman trying to make an extra $ was really ridiculous. I would not recommend any tours by Crewel Travel. They are shady.

Hello, everybody ! This is a very good experience. Use Crewel Travel. Thank You. All in all the customer refused all options and got full refund. Some more details: Our Small-groups are designed for 4 to 6 persons in Mercedes minivan. Due to the rules the customer can cancel the trip 1 day before with 100% refund. If somebody cancels late and we have left only 2 participants (it happens seldom and that is the case) we offer to the clients different options and the client has to decide to cancel with 100% refund or to accept one of the options. Standard options are : the same product on another date, another product on the same date or Upgrade to a Private Experience for a surcharge. Private Experience means that the guests are the only clients with Driver/Guide in our minivan and they can customise the trip. I means they can change the itinerary, stay shorter on longer at the places and they are the only clients. Private experience have higher costs. The surcharge is just to cover our extra costs. It is an offer. It is up to the client to accept it or to get 100% refund. We are sure that just to cancel a booking is not a good idea. The client must always have a choice, an alternative and to decide what he/she likes more. Best regards, Cyrus G P.S. The information about the 1/4 costs of the visit of 3 castles with the wine tasting can't be true. The toll roads are 40 EUR, the fuel costs for 530 km to drive from/to Paris to Loire Valley You can calculate Yourself, three tickets to the Castles are about EUR 45 per person (see the official web sites), car rental, parking, driving etc etc. Anyway anybody can make such a trip of his/her own. France offers all the opportunities for the travellers.

What a fabulous day we have had today. The booking process was straightforward. Reminders were received. Alex texted on the morning to let us know the exact pick up time and arrived on the dot. The minivan was very comfortable making the long journey to the Loire region no problem for us, especially as there were only 4 of us on this trip. Alex was excellent; relaxed, patient and helpful. In short there was nothing to fault about the service provided by Clewels. The chateaux were all gorgeous but Chenonceau was our particular favourite. Amboise was a delightful place to have lunch. There is no doubt that the blue sky and sunshine enhanced our experience but all in all whatever the weather we would highly recommend this excursion.

Our driver, Roman, was prompt and very skilled at navigating the busy streets of Paris and beyond. Our tour guide, Valerie, was lovely. She was such a wealth of information, down to the littlest details, and had a great sense of humor. She went above and beyond by sending us tons of recommendations for places to eat and things to see while we stayed in Paris. We, thoroughly, enjoyed our trip, despite it being a very long day.

This trip was amazing! What made it exceptional was our amazing guide, Valerie and our driver Rustam, both going the extra mile to make us feel good and comfortable. The amount of historical knowledge Valerie has is absolutely incredible. She speaks 7 languages and she is absolutely lovely! I came back so rich in knowledge about France history and art due to her, and I am extremely thankful. The drive was comfortable. Just 2 hours one way. The castles are a must see. Château de Chambord is imposing and magnificent. Amboise is beautifully situated in a gorgeous town with many great restaurants. But the one that impressed me the most was Château de Chenonceau. The location on the river makes it spectacular. A must see!!! Oh, and we stopped at one of the oldest vineyards where we were walked through the process of wine making. And yes, we did taste 13 types of excellent wine. We like the small group tours because they are more comfortable and it is easier to connect with people and you have a chance to learn so much about the places you visit because the guide is really invested. Totally worth the money!

Pros: picked up at hotel and driven in a van with only 4 of us. Toured 3 amazing castles, and winery. Lunch ( on own) in the beautiful picturesque town Amboise. Our guide and driver were very kind, respectful and considerate.
Cons: Very little time to tour and explore ( as we had a person in our group who with limited ability to keep up or endure all of the many stairs and inclines) and slowed the group down. Unfortunately, we felt the guide ( Ilia) wasn’t very knowledgeable of the castles, and his English not so great. The wine tasting was rushed as the other person in our group didn’t drink.
Overall. very thankful to have seen these gorgeous chateaux and gardens, but the overall experience could’ve been better.

Tour guide (Cyrus) was rude. We booked hotel pick up and he had forgotten that we had booked that option. He never apologized for being late. He was also unclear on instructions regarding meet up times etc and he rolled his eyes at us when we asked questions. We did not have much time at each castle, and tour guide did not give good instructions on how to maximize our time in each.

I don't know who You are. I had almost polite people and I have almost 5 stars ratings. According to our Itinerary we spend in each castle time : minimum 1,5 hours in Chambord, minimum 1,15 in Amboise, Minimum 1,5 in Chenonceau. I explain myself a lot during my trips and answer all the questions because I am a French history fan. We pick up people with prepaid pick up service. PS I can not roll my eyes, they are fixed to my head.

Our guide Valerie was organized and effective with time management. It is not easy to squeeze in all the itinerary in one day. I appreciated Valerie for reaching out to me via WhatsApp the evening before our trip. I felt reassured about the hotel pickup. I also appreciated Valerie for providing a quick historical background on Loire when we were travelling in the car. It gives us more perspective on the chateaux.

We also appreciated our driver who was very professional. We felt safe during the long journey.

Wonderful day at the castles of the Loire thanks to Valerie and Roman! We were picked up directly at the hotel in a Mercedes minivan by the driver Roman. Valerie, the pleasant always smiling tour guide was the most attentive to all our questions. She informed us in an impeccable and exhaustive way about the history of the castles, who built them, and who lived in them, inserting everything in a broader historical context, for a better understanding. The wine tasting was also very fun and we were accompanied to the vineyard and the cellar by both Valerie and Roman. Thank you for the best photos guys! We were recommended the other tours by the tour company ' will definitely come back to explore more of France-Belgium-Netherlands!

Our family of four took this trip on May 12th 2023 with Valerie and had a wonderful tour. The castles are gorgeous and Valerie was very knowledgeable about the history of each stop. She gave us a lot of information during the drive and we had some time to explore on our own at each location as well. Highly recommend.

The chateau’s were beautiful and worth a visit, but this “guided tour” was not as described. First, there was no guide, just a driver that barely spoke. So if you’re looking for a “tour guide” to explain the history/regions this is not for you. 99.9% of the tours that I have been on, I’ve experienced that the tour guides talk to you, not listen to music and play on their phones while driving. Speaking of the drive, I am honestly surprised that we made it back in one piece. The driver was all over the road, he was playing on his phone, watching YouTube, and also not well. We even expressed that we would drive just out of the safety for us. We’ve never been more stressed on a tour before. The driver was also sick. Which he stated many times. It was clear, he looked unwell and was drinking cold medication, which could explain the swerving driving. Why send us a sick driver? Which in turn has made me sick, so that’s really appreciated. This was clearly not worth the price, as there was no actual guide, fear for our lives, and now am sick. The only reason I gave two stars is because the Chateau’s were beautiful.
