About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- James E0 contributionsSpectacular tour; Excellent tour guideWe took this tour on Friday, January 3, 2025. This was an excellent day trip tour from Paris. I recommend it very highly. And I recommend this particular tour company, oktours.fr, as well. We were picked up at our hotel right on time. Yasser, our guide and, I believe, the owner of the tour company, was very nice, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The drive to Vaux le Vicomte was about an hour. We went there first and then, in the afternoon, we went to Fontainebleau Palace, which was only about 30 minutes from Vaux le Vicomte. That was the perfect order for these visits. Vaux le Vicomte was spectacular and, somehow, Fontainebleau was even more so. The Napoleon museum section at Fontainebleau was particularly interesting. I strongly recommend getting the audio guide (included in this tour) at Fontainebleau, as it would be easy to overlook some rich and interesting history without it. At both places, I recommend you use the restroom before starting the walking tour as there are none available to the public during the walk-through. We skipped lunch but Vaux le Vicomte has a cafe. We stopped for a drink there after our visit and it looked to have some very appetizing hot entrees and etc. We spent about 2 hours at VLV but we would have stayed longer to visit the extraordinary gardens had it not been so cold and foggy on our visit. At Fontainebleau, the walking tour of the palace took about two and a half to three hours. Again, there are beautiful gardens to visit there as well but the cold kept us from spending much time in the gardens on our visit. I would plan on spending an additional half hour, at least, to enjoy the gardens, if the weather is favorable. I believe you can save money by booking directly with ok tours.fr. So, in summary: our guide, Yasser, was a pleasure; oktours.fr did a fine job for us; and, this particular tour was superb. Highest recommendation!Written 4 January 2025
- David H0 contributionsWonderful day in the SommeYasser was a wonderful host for our day trip to the Somme region and we cannot rate our day any higher. He was friendly, informative and did everything to make our experience perfect. On top of all that, we had a lot of fun during our car trips to and from Paris. Would highly recommend Yasser to anyone considering a day trip from ParisWritten 23 December 2024
- 850rogerk0 contributionsAwesome day tripThis was AWESOME!. I would totally recommend this tour. Our driver was wonderful. I didn't know that this site charges a 27% mark-up fee for these. Had we known, we would have contacted them directly (oktours.fr)Written 12 August 2024
- SWilson100 contributionsSuch A Sight, So Worth the TripWe, 4 of us, were picked up at our hotel in Paris, driven to Mont St Michel, then to Honfleur, and then back to our hotel. It was a wonderful experience. Anas picked us up at 5:30 AM. The sedan was roomy and comfortable. I sat in the middle in the back (3 in back, one up front with Anas). The center section wasn't a hump like it is in many cars, so it was fine. We slept part the 4 hour drive to Mont St Michel. Anas was a careful and skilled driver. Once there he got us situated and we toured the Abbey without him. The audio guide was perfect and allowed us each go at our own pace, lingering in some areas and moving along in others. There was no one rushing us or directing us so it was very comfortable. When we exited, Anas was right there waiting and took us back to the car. From there we went to Honfleur. It's a lovely port city but was busy with lots of tourists. Anas got us situated at a restaurant of our choice and we were free to meander about at will. We stayed there about 2 hours before driving back to our hotel. The Abbey is an incredible structure with amazing views and a fascinating history. It was definitely a worthwhile and unforgettable experience. Doing this tour with a private driver made it all the more comfortable and convenient. Anas, thank you for driving and taking care of us.Written 4 June 2024
- Paul Y0 contributionsLanguage Barrier When Picking Up Audio GuideI purchased both my eTickets and vouchers for the audio guides online weeks prior to my visit on 25th January. We have no trouble getting into the museum using our eTickets. However, despite displaying my paid vouchers for TWO audio guide devices, the staff onsite insisted I pay an additional 4 euros. He only spoke French to me, and I wasn't sure if he didn't understand what I meant or if he doesn't know English at all. Regardless, we were stuck there for a couple of minutes trying to explain the situation to no avail. I eventually just gave up and paid that extra 4 euros and moved on.Written 29 January 2023
