We just returned from a 35 day trip to Europe. Our trip starting in Vienna, Austria, and continuing to Slovakia, Italy, Germany, the Czech Republic, The Netherlands, Hungary, and then finishing back in Austria. My wife used the Orange Holiday Europe SIM card in her IPhone, and we reloaded it once, giving us 28 days of coverage on her phone. Activating the service in Austria worked well, and reloading it online, with a credit card payment, also worked fine. We had very good service throughout our trip. I purchased the SIM card from Amazon. I would certainly use the Orange service again on future trips.

I bought an Orange SIM card in Lyon France when I was there for work and it worked moderately well. However, some some reason it had problem adding find with a US Credit Card and I read on Google that this is a known problem, which means that you have to go to the trouble of finding an Orange store to top up your phone.

When I returned to the US, I found that the SIM card connected to T-Mobile. Since I find that I most need a SIM card to arrange travel from the airport when I arrive,
so I decided to put it into a spare iPhone and see if I could top it up with a US credit card from the US so that I would have a European SIM card ready for my next trip. In fact, I was able to top up the SIM with an US credit card from the US and got a text message on my (now French) phone confirming that my account had been topped up. Great!!!!!

But when I actually tried it, it did nor work at all: not for phone calls, text messages nor accessing the internet. I managed to find an email help page and sent them a message asking why it did not work. It took the 4 days to respond with fairly obvious suggestions (put a +1 in front of the number) and other things that I had tried, and declared the issue closed. They did not solve the problem and responded to the email to reopen the issue. That was 6days ago and no response. Since I want to get this sorted out to see if I can use it in a future trip, the delay is not crucial. If I was trying to use it during a trip in France it would be.

The most frustrating and over complicated e-sim I have ever used.

The data I purchased was not working despite trying every resolution the agent I was emailing gave me. After exhausting all methods I decide to ask for a refund. They refused to give me a refund as apparently some data had actually been used. Which was NOT true! I showed them countless amounts of evidence that the data did not work, and instead of looking further into it, the bot-like agent I was speaking to decides to resend me the possible resolutions that they had already sent me.

I have not got a refund from them… biggest waste of time, money, and a huge headache!

Do NOT buy a sim with this company if you’re travelling.

I have bought two E-sim plans from eSIM holidays Orange. The plan covers the 11gb roaming data in EU countries for 28days. After an hour from the activation of the E-sim in Austria, Vienna, the internet connection is suddenly failed in both E-sims. The support team was also not very helpful. We emailed for literally a day and then they told me to find an Orange shop. The funny thingis that there is no Orange shop located in Vienna. They also did not accept any refund. We did everything right. They did everything wrong. So, they literally robbed us. I am writing this review, so I may help someone set free from their money trap.

Used the Orange Europe Prepaid SIM Card (20GB) which worked perfectly while in France and UK. I had the card sent to me in the US prior to my trip to Europe.

    1) Its your responsibility to make sure your phone is "completely unlocked" which is a mistake most folks make. Contact your carrier prior to your trip to determine status of your phone. If you bought the phone on a installment plan, changes are its locked. Again, contact your carrier to determine the status of your phone.
    2) I used an old iPhone from a relative. I went thru all the procedures to erase the prior owner's data; contacted the corresponding carrier to assure the phone was unlocked: and re-established the phone as my own via the the Apple cloud.
    3) You are provided with a French phone number via the Orange SIM card. The phone number is on the exterior of the packet the SIM card is shipped in. Therefore, its your responsibility to learn the appropriate dialing prefixes to call back to the USA. Google the web for instructions.
    4) the SIM card is only good for two weeks. Therefore, only load the card upon arrive in Europe. If you load it while still in the US, the clock starts ticking and you will lose days
    5) Past 14 days, France requires you to register as part of a national security measure. The instructions are the packet that the SIM card is mailed in. Also, if you want to extend the number of days, the procedures are also listed on the packet.

As a side note, we installed WhatsApp on the phone which uses local WiFi to text messages to folks back home. The WhatsApp text messages are not counted against the Orange SIM card. The folks back home may be confused by the French phone number appearing on their phone, but just identify yourself via the text message as in "Hi, this is Joe in Paris, all is well. If you need me, just reply to this message".

Both my daughter and I bought this for our vacation to Portugal. It was utterly worthless, we spent 5 hours the first night of vacation and 3 hours the second night trying to get it to work. The company has no tech support and the information online seemed to be for much older phones (ours are iPhone 11 & 14). Our phones were unlocked and there was no reason the cards should not have worked, they just didn't. Zero support from the company. Utterly worthless product.

Orange is the worst esim company I've ever used. I was stranded in Scotland with no data or cell. I activated my esim and the data worked about 30-1hr before it stopped working and the cell phone and texting never worked. They only have email cutomer support. Even when customer service did finally get back to me the directions didn't work. They also kept sending me iPhone instuctions when I have the latest Galaxy phone. I was also told no refund because I had activated the service. I was told my case would be escalated and given no other information or timeline. By the time someone got back to me. I had already gotten a different esim as I needed it immediately to work. They also then 5 days later emailed me to rate their customer support. Lol, spoiler alert, it was a bad rating. Hopefully this will help someone else to not use Orange travel esim. I wouldn't want them to strand someone else. I am fully intending to fill out reviews everywhere I can on the internet telling people to beware!!!

I would not recommend Orange Travel sim. We had so much trouble connecting. I rarely managed to contact agencies in Europe or even my wife. I kept getting mess in French which I couldn’t understand. I topped up with 30.50 Euro esim and accidentally paid twice because I was in an area with poor internet. Orange basically said it was my fault and wouldn’t refund me. Look at the other reviews. A lot of people seem to have issues

I bought 3 lines . One worked well another stopped working after few hours and the third line never did . This is when it gets sticky . Contacted customer support as recommended on their help page. They said must complete KYC because the passport photo that was uploaded wasn’t clear . I replied how can I do that again , no answer . Asked , still no answer, asked a third time they took me back to the original email that I should complete the kyc and went round and round in circles and still no solution . Had to buy another SIM card because I gave up on them .

There is no customer service -- zero. Instructions on their communities and via bot are inaccurate for a newer iPhone. Mine would not work, and I tried for four days of travel in Italy, in a major city, to get customer service and it simply fails. The apple store could not help. Instructions seem to refer to old iOS's. Now, there is no way to contact a human to get my money back. Really not a good company.
