About the operator
- MDfamily300Great tour of a wonderful museum! While you can visit the Musee without skip the line tickets, this was well worth the price. Our guide, Avi, was so pleasant and knowledgeable. He brought the museum and the paintings to life in a way that captivated both me (who has a little background in art history) and my husband (who has never shown interest in art history before). Well done Avi!! Take this tour. You won't be disappointed!
- Excursion61243800Tour guide no where to find or contactNo, the tour didn't happen at all. Couldn't find the tour guide on the spot. Tried to call and text, no response
- corinnemH6202DO00CatacombsMaria is amazing and honors the magic and mystery of the catacombs! Her storytelling was exciting and spooky!
- Kendese N00See the highlights, no lines, great tour!My mom and I went to the Louvre on our own but couldn’t manage the long line in the cold weather so we decided to book this tour for the next day. Best decision! With this tour we didn’t have to wait in any lines. The tour was only 6 people so it felt more intimate and our tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable about the highlights we saw. Would definitely recommend this tour!
- mustafatanvirs202300Wonderful EiffelBayo you were wonderful …✨ We really enjoyed your guided tour up the Eiffel. Happy for this day . Thank you
- CoupleAA00Great tourVery interesting tour with a great guide (Bayo) who shared many useful stories around the Iron Lady most of which we didn’t know :)
- Petespill00A fascinating 2+ hours of French historyChristina was a wonderful guide; knowledgeable, engaging and full of enthusiasm for French medieval history. A real highlight of our Parisien visit.
- 670sheriej00Nice enoughCouldn't get on the train so lost an hour of tour time. Tour guide was knowledgeable enough. Didn't seem like an expert on the palace.
- JoeKneeM00Excellent guideOur tour guide was fantastic. She spoke great English, had a good sense of humor, and was very informative. I learned a lot. The Orsay was very crowded though.
- Kevin_ThaBest00Highly RecommendThis was so fun to learn about and since I had no idea what the catacombs were, it was very interesting. If you want to learn a lot more about the undergrounds of Paris then I recommend you go here and learn the history behind it. The tour wasn't too long which was amazing because I get bored very easily but this kept me awake and wanting to know more. The tour guide was so good with his knowledge of the catacombs and keep every body entertained as we walked around. My friends also thought it was a good trip and we would highly recommend.
- redskinsycamores00Time saver that didn’t cut the visit short!Very friendly and efficient guide and operation. Saw the hotspots and learned key history. We were able to navigate through such a massive museum and then had enough info to dig deeper into specific areas after the guide was done. The guide/group approach saved a bunch of time with skipping the line!
- SS129300Really great guide tour experience and exceptional inside of Impressionism all the way!The best guided tour in Paris, history and inside of artist and paintings shown during the tour, thank you so much for the experience and definitely book it again
- F1601YLsabrinam00Great tour experience.Absolutely amazing!! Remy is a great tour guide. We really enjoyed the restricted areas and our guide’s knowledge of the Catacombs.
- Paula C00Very educational, very excellent travel back in time, just a little too many hours in the tourChristina was exceptional tour guide and full of excitement for her subject! Lots of fascinating aspects, many things I had never know before, very very thorough, and very thoughtful of her group. The only negative was the tour lasted too many hours.
- Z7398WAtonyh00The only way to see the LouveThe American guide was extremely well qualified to deliver the tour (unbelievably highly qualified). Everything was slick and faff free, whilst others around us were in chaos. His humour regularly hit the mark with those from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Others in the group couldn't quite work out what we were all laughing at. Brilliant way (the only way) to see the Louve.

The tour started off fine as planned. Once we met our guide things kind of went downhill. Her English was on the poor side which I don’t fault her for but it did make it hard to understand what she was trying to tell us about the palace. The rest of my tour group also became frustrated with her due to unwanted “rest breaks” which caused tension. All of the half day visitors were also sent home after the gardens tour with no gourmet lunch we paid for. I’m unsure if the rest of the people in my group on the half day tour knew we were supposed to also participate in the lunch. As far as guidance back to Paris, there wasn’t any and I understand that’s not part of the tour but we weren’t even told which train to take. All our first guide said was the “Vity” train which was not listed as an option on our way back so we just took a lucky guess and hopped on that train. Overall, I was disappointed in what seemed to be a lot of confusion.

Thank you for your review, although we are very sorry to read that you were disappointed with your tour. I hope I can address your concerns here.
Concerning the guide's English, this is the first time we have had this comment about her, and we will certainly follow up on it. She is French, but all our guides speak English to a high level, and in crowded and noisy sites such as Versailles we equip all our guests with headsets to ensure they can clearly hear their guide at all times.
As you saw the palace at Versailles can get crowded, and this can sometimes be tiring for some of our guests. The guides adapt the pace of their visits to ensure that all the guests in the group are comfortable at all times. This may mean a few moments of resting from time to time if they feel there are guests who need it, and varies of course depending on the guests and the situation.
In terms of the lunch, this is an extra option that some guests choose to take, but not all the guests in the group buy the tour with the lunch. So on each tour we have a few guests that have bought the lunch option, and the guide escorts them to the Ducasse restaurant. The guides are always happy to offer suggestions to the other guests who wish to stay a bit longer in Versailles and have lunch, there are several restaurants in the gardens and plenty in the town. Please rest assured that the guides do not just send people home! They are happy to help with any advice or recommendations you may need.
We have identified your booking and it seems that when the guide informed the group that she would now escort the guests who had bought the tour with the lunch option to the restaurant, you did not go with her. We are sorry that she did not clearly identify that you should have been with her, but we are confused as to why you did not go with her to the restaurant when she announced she was taking you there. We have asked Viator to process a refund for the lunch that you did not have, and we are sorry that you missed out on it.
The trains leave Versailles station for central Paris every 15 minutes, and all the trains stop at all the central Paris stations, so it's not possible to take the wrong train! Our guide and our coordinator who escorted you to Versailles on the train should have explained that to you, and we apologise if that was not made clear to you.
I hope that this clears up some of the confusion regarding these aspects of your tour. Once again we are sorry that it did not completely meet your expectations, and we hope that the rest of your stay in Paris was a good one.

The tour portion of this event was excellent. 5/5 stars. Easy meeting place. Trouble-free RT train transfers. Excellent skip-the-line tickets. And a great tour by an amazing guide. He was interesting, engaging, and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
What was not excellent about this package was the lunch. I see the previous reviewers gave it high marks, so we must have unfortunately visited on a very off day. The service was mediocre (something we never find in Paris) and the time between our starters, mains, and desserts was incredibly long considering the only thing we were able to choose was dessert.
It's hard to comment on the food, as all of our mains arrived either cold (the veggies) or slightly warm (the chicken). Because of the long, long, long wait between servers returning, only two of our party ordered dessert. Sadly, one of the two desserts delivered was the wrong dessert but servers never returned, so just left it uneaten (along with most of the rest of our food).
Again, 5/5 stars for the tour. 2/5 stars for the meal. Next visit, we will do the first and skip the last.

Thank you very much for leaving us such a detailed review. We are delighted to read that you enjoyed your tour of Versailles.
We are very disappointed to read however that the lunch was not what it should have been. As you say, previous guests have all had excellent experiences at the restaurant, and we followed up with the restaurant management regarding your comments. They too are disappointed to read your review, and offer you their apologies. They tell us that they will follow up with the staff to ensure that the food and service is as it should be for all future guests. The Ducasse restaurants have very high standards, and we are sorry that it seems to have slipped on this occasion. We choose our supplier partners very carefully and we are sure that future meals here will be a positive and memorable experience as they should be.
We do hope that we will have the opportunity to welcome you in Paris again and we know that the Ducasse team would be very glad to have the opportunity to show you how good a meal can and should be in their restaurants.

Thank you very much for your review! We are so happy to read that you enjoyed your visit to Versailles with Hervé so much, as was he! It's such a fascinating place and there are so many amazing stories, Hervé does really make the royal family come back to life and it makes such a difference to be able to imagine them there just exactly as you are during your visit. We hope we will have the opportunity to see you again in Paris!

We found Marion sweet and passionate about Versailles. We had her for the morning and also the afternoon for the Grand Trianon, Petit Trianon and farm tour. I loved the farm tour the best because I’ve seen the castle before. We really enjoyed it all.
We were late getting started due to a missing couple. Waiting for the missing couple cut into our tour time by 20 minutes which we did not appreciate but I think that was the tour company and not Marion.

Thank you very much for your review of your tour of Versailles, which we have passed on to Marion. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your tour, and especially the afternoon visits at the Domain of Marie-Antoinette, one of our favorite parts of the palace and such a special place.
We do apologize for the wait time for the late guests. It can be very tricky for us trying to balance helping guests who are very close by and almost arrived, and not making our other guests wait who have arrived on time. We know how upsetting it can be to miss a dream trip for a few minutes (I believe on the day of your visit their were some exceptional issues with the trains, so we tried to help these guests who had been caught up in that), but we also respect the fact that the majority of our guests arrive on time, and our tours also should always start on time. Our pre-reserved entrances mean that we do need to begin on time, and any lost time that may occasionally occur in exceptional circumstances should be made up for during the tour.
We do hope that we'll see you again in Paris in the future!

We were blown away by this tour. It was easy to meet our tour guide Rafael at the metro station. After a 20 minute or so train ride we then had a brief walk to Versailles. We toured the gardens first and they were spectacular. We were even able to see a fountain show. Then we entered the palace. We got to go through the group entry therefore skipping the huge lines out front. The palace was amazing. Rafael got us into every room and had interesting facts and commentary to go along with the rooms. We chose to have the gourmet lunch and it was very tasty. You actually get to eat inside the palace which is neat. We had a window table and looked out over the courtyard. From there we proceeded to the afternoon tour of the petit Trianon. This was quite different from the palace but still very interesting. It was almost like a hamlet out of a fairy tale! We then took the small train back to the palace and headed back to Paris via the metro. It was a long day—we left at 9am and arrived back at about 6pm. But it was very worth it, definitely a highlight of our trip. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and consider bringing and umbrella for either rain or sun! You are pretty much walking or standing the whole time.

If you want to immerse yourself in Versailles you must book a tour with Memories DMC. We hadn’t heard of it and booked through Viator. Our guide was Cristiana. Very personable engaging and informative. We skip the seemingly mile long entrance lines. She made every barrier disappear with ease including the security checks the entrance to the palace the entrance to Ore the restaurant the entrance to the gardens and the trolley to the Petit Trianon and the Marie Antoinette village. We walked through the gardens and spent easily over 8 hours. She met us at the train station and escorted us back to it to assure everyone was safe. Simply wonderful.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us such a detailed review. We have passed your comments onto Cristiana and she was very happy to read them too. (You are not the first to say she somehow makes barriers disappear, and you're right it makes a big difference to the visit!) The full day in Versailles is easily one of our favourite ways to spend a day, we are always so pleased to read that our guests have enjoyed it as much as we do. There is so much to see there, and so much beauty hidden away that you could so easily miss. We do hope to see you again on future trips!

Our guide, Elisa, was engaging, informative, and attentive as she led our group of 6 Americans to and through Versailles. We blew past the massive lines to a special entrance and private visit to the opera house adjacent to the palace. Although the palace was very crowded, Elisa navigated us through the throng while providing interesting information about Versailles Palace and its former occupants. She continued in the massive gardens, again focusing our attention on the most compelling parts.
After a delicious lunch inside the palace(!), Elisa took a smaller subset of us to the Petit Trianon, the former residence of Marie Antoinette, and the faux Norman village she maintained, which was also delightful - and much less crowded!
Overall, a real highlight of our time in Paris. Elisa was one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had.

First and foremost, our tour Guide, Rafael, was a Delightful young Girl.
She met us at on time and ensured we all traveled in the same Train car to Versailles.
Upon Arrival, she quickly made our entrance into the Palace, where hundreds of others were standing Queue. Once inside, Rafale explained and detailed most everything we were seeing and explained its history.
When the Palace tour concluded, she lead us outside and did a VERY detailed description of the gardens, which included a musical Water fountain.
She is a true credit to your company.
Having booked the Gourmet lunch, Rafael, escorted us to the location where we had a Fantastic meal.
All in All, a GREAT time.. A+++

Hervé was the most amazing guide. We were delayed by a hold up in ticket distribution by the Palace administration and he coped brilliantly, relating fascinating stories about Versailles and sharing his incredible knowledge of its history. He is a champion of Marie-Antoinette and offered us a very detailed and well researched profile of this queen as the tour progressed.
The palace itself is exactly as portrayed in documentaries and historical films and I loved every inch of it. What was unexpected was Le Petit Trianon and the little Norman village created by the queen as a refuge from court life. They are exquisite and often missed when visiting this beautiful destination.
Our gourmet lunch was delicious and provided the perfect break between our palace visit and our afternoon excursion to the small château and The Queen's Hamlet.

We are delighted to read that you enjoyed your day at Versailles, and that you were able to discover the beautiful Petit Trianon and Hamlet of Marie Antoinette, also one of my absolute favourites places to visit. I have a few questions 1) If you choose not to do the guided tour of petite Trianon, what time does the tour end? After lunch? 2) If we want to spend more time touring the gardens after our tour, are we obligated to return by train with the rest of the group at the end of the tour? Thanks!
Siobhan - Memories
Paris, France
Hello, the tour starts at different times depending on the fountain shows, as we always want to ensure we see the best of them so adapt our tour timings accordingly. The tour lasts 3 hours, plus travel time from Paris, so you will end at either 12:15 (if you start at 8) or 1:00pm (if you start at 8:45), then allow around 1 hour for lunch. You are not at all obliged to go back on the train with the group, the reason we use the train is to allow our guests maximum independance for their return, as there is much more to see in Versailles! Your guide will give you tickets and instructions and you will see it's very easy to get back. The station is very close and all trains go to central Paris. In terms of the gardens, there is a new system in place in Versailles meaning that your ticket can only be scanned once at the entry gate. However, the rules allow you to enter via another gate a second time if you wish to explore the gardens more after your lunch. Your guide will be happy to explain how to get there, it's just a short walk and you can spend as long as you wish in the gardens in the afternoon.

What time does lunch end?
Siobhan - Memories
Paris, France
Hello, Depending on what time your tour starts, you'll end your tour and start lunch at either 12:15 or 1:00pm. You'll probably need around an hour for lunch, so end lunch by 1:15 or 2pm. If you have booked the full day tour, your guide will come and pick you up after lunch for the afternoon part of the visit.
