Ask for Boris !
Aug. 2021
Yesterday we did another tour with Boris, this time we went to Centre Pompidou - the Modern Art Museum of Paris. We highly enjoyed all the insight into the many fascinating artworks in the collection. Boris knew exactly what our interests were, and adapted the tour accordingly. We ended the tour with a nice drink on the rooftop, with an excellent view of the city.

hi Maria, Thanks for taking more than one of our tours, and thanks for your kind words again! I am glad you had such a good time during the visit, and so did I. The Pompidou center is, in my opinion, a place that most necessitates a guided visit, as modern and contemporary art can get pretty cryptic. I hope to see you again soon. Kind regards, Boris, Paris in person private tours

A fascinating seminar on modern art
Sep. 2019
Our tour of the Pompidou collection with Boris Petrovic was altogether the best guided tour of any kind my wife and I have ever had. Boris is a genial, attentive, thoroughly informed young humanist scholar. What he gave us was a fascinating two-hour private seminar on modern art. We were absolutely delighted, and recommend Boris in the highest terms.

Hi David, Thanks for the kind words. It was a rare pleasure to have the discussion with a couple of colleague scholars in the same field. I am to have done this tour myself and happened upon you guys. Keep in touch and looking forward to seeing you again soon. Kind regards, Boris, Paris in person private tours

My favorite museum in Paris
Pompidou is amazing, my favorite museum in Paris. It’s huge, has famous residents and the temporary exhibits are also surreal. Buy the Skip the Line tickets and, if you can afford a 50-100 euros meal give yourself a good time at the Terrace restaurant, on the 6th floor. Amazing view and food.

hi there, Thanks for the kind words - indeed this is one of our favorite museums in Paris too. Not too crowded, with excellent temporary exhibitions and a must see permanent setup. Glad to hear you enjoyed it. Kind regards, Boris, Paris in person private tours

Anya of Paris in Person did a great job at Centre Pompidou
Oct. 2018 • Solo
Anya, a professional art historian, led my 2-hour private Paris in Person tour of Centre Pompidou in October 2018. I am completely satisfied and would hire Anya again. She was punctual, prepared and a very pleasant person to be around. The tour was entertaining, educational, fun and lively. The tour began with an interesting discussion of the building's construction and neighborhood as well as its history andthe Stravinsky fountains outside, then we went inside. She asked if there was anything in particular I wanted her to focus on (there was) and she custom-tailored my experience to my interests. She was also naturally attentive to which pieces and artists and features of artwork captivated my attention and we discussed those elements and, further, on-the-fly, she efficiently guided me to yet more pieces and artists that I was likely to find aesthetically pleasing (and I did). A first-class experience.

hi there, Thanks for the kind words and a very detailed review. Anya enjoys that museum visit very much and always strives to excel in it. It is indeed one of the best and most rewarding aspects of being a guide, being able to share your love and enthusiasm with others. Both her and I hope to have you on one of our other tours and museum visits very soon. Kind regards, Boris, Paris in person private tours

An extraordinary fellow
Boris gave us a private tour of the Pompidou Centre. I confess to not having been a modern art fan, and I’m afraid I am still not. However, I now have a strong appreciation for the forces and motivations that have taken art from Monet to the “artistic” urinal. Boris really knows his stuff, and he digs into things with enthusiasm— a fascinating, upper division art course in three hours. Expand your horizons, and actually learn something from an art museum – – hire this guy.

Pompidou Museum with Boris
Jun. 2018 • Friends
My parents and I visited the Centre Georges Pompidou with Boris, and could not have asked for a more charming or knowledgeable companion. He gives 20th century art a wealth of historical and social context that shows the visitor not just what is good about a piece, but why it matters. His academic spirit and love of discussion make for some very enjoyable conversations, helping you to feel involved in the tour and start developing your own informed opinions about the value and meaning of modern art. If you aren't already an expert - and perhaps even then - you're sure to learn a lot.
