About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- WS79990 contributionsPoor (sadly) and expensiveThe Paris bus tour was disappointing. The commentary was minimal—about sixty to seventy percent of the audio was just radio music, with little information about the sites. The frequent and long stops, often over fifteen minutes to pick up passengers, made the route feel slow and disorganized. Additionally, the night buses didn’t operate as late as advertised, leaving us stranded and forced to walk home. While the idea of a bus tour sounded convenient, the lack of meaningful commentary and unreliable scheduling made it a frustrating experience. I’d recommend looking for alternative ways to explore the city.Written 12 January 2025
- 268russellj0 contributionsParis, and its charmThis was one of our cheaper experiences in France. Do not ride the Tuk Tuk, no matter what you are experiencing. Buy a train ticket at the kiosk, better still buy a ticket on the Eurostar train. Do not buy a week travel card. Eat locally to where you are staying, and most people will have some Anglaise, but do make an effort with some Francaise. But Paris is nice to visit, but if I went again, it would be out of the city and down the 2nd or 3rd class road, and experience rural France 🇫🇷, and make do with the little bit of their language I have.Written 9 January 2025

However the overall experience was very disappointing compare to other cities and sight seeing busesWritten 2 January 2025
- noed6560 contributionsEnjoyed bus tourPretty good! Enjoyed Big Bus Paris Tour - did not take the optional river cruise as it was booked separately. One of the main stops is the Arc of Triomphe which makes it very convenient. They have a ton of buses that run very frequently - that doesn't always happen in all countries. Very timely as well. Hit many of the main attractions in Paris. Runs very late too which was nice and very helpful. Pricing is a little steep at about $45/person. Overall would recommend!Written 1 January 2025
- noed6560 contributionsAmazing!Amazing! Went to Arc of Triomphe during trip to Paris - again! Beautiful, stunning structure. Enormous, and it leads to the start of the Champ Elysee! Have to take the tunnel down and into the structure. Can buy tickets to go up to the Arc and see the city from up - however the view from the top I don't think is great but still probably worth seeing at least once. Can also buy tickets online - I think there is also a guided tour that is offered. Worth visiting while on a trip to Paris. Fireworks happen during New Year's Eve!Written 1 January 2025
- noeller7280 contributionsPlenty of busses, only go when it's warmWe did the 24-hour hop-on hop-off bus tour in December with our 3 daughters. The audio on the bus worked great and there were plenty of busses throughout the day . Our one caveat is that the busses were absolutely FREEZING which made the ride rather miserable. We sat on the inside part of the bus but there is no door from the inside to the top outside part so the very cold air was just circulating.Written 1 January 2025
- Maura L0 contributionsBetter options out thereVery disappointed with the quality and content of the audio tour. A few Ubers around the concentrated sightseeing areas would’ve been a better use of our time and money.Written 31 December 2024
- W3030XTpeterp0 contributionsVery unhappy voyagerMy wife & I were looking forward to our Christmas cruise on the P&O Ventura it was a terrible experience we sailed from Southampton on the 17th December& returned on the 29th. To cut a long story short at 03:30 ish on Christmas Eve I suffered some terrible stomach pains which turned out to be Viral Gastroenteritis I have never felt so the medical team were informed so I had to isolate in my cabin & I was released from isolation at 10:15 on Boxing day,my wife started to feel unwell with the same symptoms she to then had to isolate so out a 12 night cruise 5 were spent in isolation,. (This was caused by having the Novo virus on board) several other passengers experienced the same illness as us, also some of the crew were not very helpful we had to wait around 6 he's for towels a water I could go on but all I will say is be warned think twice about booking on this ship.Written 31 December 2024

Waiting on next bus took a while about 20 mins and our kids started to get very impatient with the wait. Only thing I didn't like was even tho it says 24hrs rhe last bus stops at 17.30hrs but of u get on at 10am your ticket is valid until 10am.next day. We would use them again as the office staff were good and the.office is just outside the pyramid metro stopWritten 20 December 2024

- horobin0 contributionsDon’t waist your moneyVery disappointed with big bus in Paris I paid for 48hrs bus starts at 9.45 and last bus stops at 5.30 so have to be careful as it takes 2.5 hours to get round so many stops final pick up are 3.30 so it dose not give you time to get off and look around We got stuck at no 5 as there was not another bus so had to get a uber back So technically you only get 5 hrs a day So we paid for 48hr but only being able to use it for max 9 hours Total rip offWritten 15 December 2024

We enjoyed the tour but unfortunately we're not given headphones by the driver. It was a little chaotic getting on the bus. I would recommend getting to the bus stop, very near the L'arc de Triomphe,at least 15 minutes before your departure. Wear warm clothes as it can be breezy but it does stop at the main attractions so to give time to take photos. A little overpriced for what it is.

I booked this tour for me and my friend to see Paris at night. The instructions on where to pick up the bus at the top of the Champs Elysee bus stop was very clear as was the time. There was a large queue when we arrived and 3 buses. There was one Big Bus employee organising getting everyone on to the buses for the night tour where he checked the booking and printed off a Big Bus receipt.
We ended up on the third, and final, bus with the organising employee being our assigned driver. Not sure what happened but he got behind the steering wheel and turned into the demon driver!!! He overtook & undertook other vehicles, did not use the bus lanes and constantly flashed the bus headlights at other vehicles he obviously thought were driving too slow. He appeared to drive really close to other road users, especially cyclists and pedestrians. So what should have been a great tour became a bit stressful and not so enjoyable as a result bearing in mind that Paris driving conditions are really not particularly orderly. There were even times when the bus brushed against the branches of the trees lining the roads and could have caused injury to the passengers/guests sitting at the top of the bus due to the speed aat which the driver was driving on the roads of Paris. Fortunately, or possibly not, we were at the very front of the top of the bus which was covered.
A number of passengers got off at the Trocadero stop to take photos of the Eiffel Tower but a significant number did not appear to board the bus again, but as I was on the top deck of the bus I could not be sure. At that point the almost 2 hours tour was due to come to an end. We did indeed see the Moulin Rouge, Louvre, Place de la Concord, Petit Palais, Opera House, Are de Triomphe, Notre Dame etc. When the tour ended it was not clear as the driver stopped in a road parallel to the Champs Elysee and then bellowed 'FINISH' very loudly!! Very odd!
It is a good tour but a calmer driver would have made it a really good experience rather than the stressful one that it was.

The tour itself takes I all of the sights with great views. However, the tour I was on only had the audio in French. I tried changing the channels but there was only music. It’s still lovely to see everything by night, but the information would have been good. There does need to be much more organization before boarding as it was a free for all with pushing and shoving. I know that isn’t the tour operator but the tourists themselves, but having actual marked lanes like at the museums would go a great way to stopping that. Although the ticket checker did his best to get people to stop pushing it was a lost cause as there was no information given about whether more buses were coming.

We booked our seats on the Paris Big Bus night tour for last Friday. We came on time but ended up finding no seats for us (4people). The driver rudely and loudly told us to go downstairs because there's no other bus coming and that we should just sit at the lower deck. He shouted at us in front of all the other passengers in the upper deck. We found this weird because the first night bus that left minutes ago before ours, had no passengers at the lower deck. Also, we booked seats and yet people without tickets got on the bus and sat on the upper deck (we know they didn't have tickets because they asked us how to book and they were behind us in the queue). Also, the bus driver stopped near the louvre to let a woman withdraw money from the ATM. She gave the driver some money and said in French, "You must accept this", which was quite suspicious. Very disappointing. Terrible service.

First time in Paris and my first time trying one of these tour buses. Absolutely loved it! Cylu (if I’m not misspelling her name!) was such a good guide. She explained everything perfectly, gave a lot of really curious and interesting facts and even made the ride fun with a joke every now and then. My 10’s!!!!

Booked the Big Bus Paris night tour for Monday 8th August and was advised that it would depart from 156 Av. des Champs-Élysées at 20:15.
We arrived at the pick up point at 20:00, in good time for the bus to depart at 20:15.
By 20:40 the bus still haven’t arrived and we (along with many others) were stood at the pick up point and given no information about whether the bus was just running late or the tour had been cancelled altogether.
At this point we assumed that the tour had been cancelled and left so that we could enjoy what was left of our evening in Paris.

We were excited to see the City of Lights at night but were sorely disappointed with the service and pre-trip information provided by this company. We signed up for the night bus in Paris, but the email confirmation/tickets did not mention that you could only board from one specific stop. We finally contacted customer service to follow up to see where the bus was and it was then that they mentioned that there was only one stop to board at. They would not give us a refund, despite the fact that we could no longer board. It was very frustrating. We took 2 cabs to try to reach the one stop and never made it! This tour is billed as a hop on hop off but only leaves from the Champs Élysées.

The boarding process was unorganized and downright dangerous. When the bus arrived people mobbed it. Elderly were knocked down and children squished and separated from their parents. Then the actual tour was terrible, we were stuck in the bottom with no air and only a few windows opened. We could not see any of the sights because the driver would not turn off the interior lights so we only got reflections and same with trying to take pictures. The audio guide did not work and the few times it did it was not for the correct area. The driver drove in circles and kept stopping to talk to taxi drivers and other bus drivers. This was a great disappointment and I would not recommend for other travelers.

We had an auspicious start with a large crowd waiting in an erratic cue. However, the company called up an extra bus as if they wanted us all to be outside on the upper deck. I was really grateful to have those beautiful views. The audio guide was easy to use, the sights spectacular, and the driver lingered in the right places to get the best of the night lights! I would highly recommend!

We arrived 10 mins before the time we were told to arrive (which was 15 mins before departure) and the line was massive and chaotic. The employees were not being friendly to people concerned about being able to sit with their family members. Also, they charge children full price but the ear buds are adult sized. My 6 year old was not able to listen to the guided tour at all. Lastly, while the info is interesting, much of the 2 hour ride was listening to the same 4 songs on repeat. It was really annoying. I would not recommend this at all for these reasons.

Does the night tour pass through the Montmartre district? According to information available on the site, only the Red Route is mentioned, which does not pass through this region. Previously, the night script was available on the website, I have it saved in my files, but now, it is no longer available. Either the script has definitely changed or the site has the wrong information. I haven't been able to speak with anyone from the Big Bus company who can give an affirmative and safe answer as to exactly what the night route is.

The bus is enclosed on the lower level but if it is raining or cold, the windows can get foggy. I think the bus stays warm in the enclosed area with all the people sitting there. You could also bring a blanket to wrap up your baby.
