      Caves du Louvre wine tasting
The cellars were amazing including the history of this. All wines were explained clearly and how to taste them. Very enjoyable and able to purchase wines thereafter.

Want to travel around France without leaving Paris! Sample wonderful wines & cheeses the country offers.
Incredible! Pierre was an excellent presenter and not only did we have fun but learned something! We wobbled out of the seminar and made it back to our hotel for a rest. This gave us an opportunity to sample different wines from all over France without leaving the room.

      Good wine tour
Good wine tour. I wish I had booked a more expansive option, but I did learn a lot and have three good wines. They also recommended a sister wine bar a short walk away for more.

A must do if you have a limited amount of time in France and love wine and cheese.
A truly wonderful experience. Great amount of thought and care put into the presentation. Great wines and cheeses. Great explanations as well. 100% recommend to all who have a love or curiosity for wine.

Give me more and I will buy it
The wine tasting is ok but I was expecting to see a bit more than I saw, the wines I tasted were good but could be really better. I’d buy a bottle of if I have a bit more of advertising from the event

      Excellent, well worth doing
We had Marie as our sommelier who was excellent. A really good and varied selection of wines with the perfect cheese to accompany each wine we went for the 10 cheese and 10 wine option. Great setting also.

Beyond my expectations! The explanation was top notch . Our guide knowledgeable, kind and just plain lovely . I am coming back ! And the cheeses !!!! I am a cheese liver and now have new ones in my list . The wine pairing was also an A+ , even though i am no wine expert ! Enjoyed the explanation and exploration with the particular cheeses

      Absolutely must do this tour!
Wow! What a great experience! Location is amazing and Theo is so knowledgeable and charmingly sweet. He taught us about history and the process of making wine and we had such an enjoyable time. The location in the tunnels underground are incredible. I could have stayed there all afternoon. I would definitely go back. Great for anyone with even the tiniest shred of interest in wine. You can't help but fall in love with wine in this gorgeous location. We loved all three that we got to try. Definitely add this to your plans. Can't be missed!

      Wonderful Experience – Highly Recommend!
We had a fantastic time! The selection of wine and cheese was excellent, though my husband wasn’t a fan of the last two—just a matter of personal taste. What truly made the evening exceptional was the sommelier, Irvin. His deep knowledge and entertaining approach really elevated the experience, making it both informative and fun. Overall, a delightful evening, and we’d highly recommend it!

      Cheesus, what a marvellous journey!
Clement was our knowledgeable and enthusiastic sommelier. He took us on a marvellous journey around France through wines and cheeses. The varieties, the combinations and the histories of the wines and cheeses added to the understanding of their heritage, how they were produced and how and why the wines would pair with the cheeses. This cheese and wine tasting was definitely a top higlight of our trip to Paris.

Wine and cheese for brunch - yes please.
What a wonderful way to start the day. 10 delicious wines paired with 10 delicious cheeses. Willy was our sommelier and he was excellent. Super knowledgeable and friendly. I loved that it came with a card with a list of the wines and cheese so I can actually remember what they are at a later date. Also had a pen to jot down notes :-) I absolutely recommend this adventure.

      Great tour
The tour was really good and informative. You can challenge your smelling ability and learn about different districts. On the way you get to taste different french wine. You can get in for free with Paris Pass.

Great overview of the wines of France
Very interesting tour and tasting of the wines of France. Our guide was knowable and informative without being snobby, even when one of the tour members was trying to impress others with their "wine knowledge." Their information was helpful during the rest of our trip in ordering wine, by explaining the grapes and wine making of each region. The location is the former royal wine cellar, which made it historically interesting as well. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone following their visit to the Louvre. Easy walk from the museum and very nice time.

The whole experience from start to finish was amazing. Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout. I would definitely recommend this experience as you are part of the whole process from tasting the different wines, to mixing and creating your own blend and finally sealing and labelling the wine.

Enjoyable experience where we learned lots about the wines of France. Who knew the different regions have different bottle shapes?! Needed a couple of tries to get the wax right on my bottle- my excuse was I was making a French chef’s hat!

Jan, our sommelier, was absolutely wonderful. He was extremely knowledgeable and welcoming. We had lots of questions about wine and he knew the answers. We learned so much, and this was definitely one of our favorite parts during our very first visit to Paris! The mixed charcuterie board was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be ordered wine overseas once we return home. Thank you!

We enjoyed our visit to Les Caves du Louvre wine workshop. First, the building itself is very nice and has an interesting history. Second, the staff were very welcoming. Third, the winemaking session was loose and fun-- not the least bit stuffy or pretentious (one of the group's amateur wine-blenders certainly was, but he won't be in your group). Fourth, getting to bottle, label and seal your own personal blend gave us a real sense of satisfaction.

Also, I stupidly double-booked our reservations, and they were understanding about my mistake and quickly refunded the difference, which I appreciate very much.

We haven't tried our bottles yet, so who knows, but no matter what the experience was memorable.

Dear DelD, You did a winemaking session in les Caves du Louvre and we are happy to know that you enjoyed your experience!! As you explained, les Caves du Louvre are a unique and historical place in Paris with more than 650 square meters of cellar. During a winemaking session, you will learn with one of our French sommelier how to make a blended wine and you will do yours (and you will wax your bottle!). We hope you will enjoy your wines with friends and family! Les Caves du Louvre Team

Such a unique idea! We were taken down into a cave/ cellar where we learned about the different aromas of wine and terroirs of France, before learning how to identify tannins, acidity, and alcohol content of the wines.
We had 5 different wines to taste and mix to make our own bottle of wine. Once our wine was done, we corked and labeled our wine.
Such a great day and I am so sad that my bottle of wine shattered on the flight home. I really wanted to have it as a keepsake.
I would recommend this tour without a doubt!

Dear BrEd0829, Such a pleasure for the team to read your review! It means we did a good job!! You participated to one of our Wine Making Session where it is possible to create your own wine (and go back with your bottle, of course!). Les Caves du Louvre is the former Royal Wine Cellar for the Palace of le Louvre, converted nowadays in a unique sensory wine museum. We have created different activities on 600 square meters to allow you to discover the wine and to taste French wines. We are sorry for your breaking bottle and we wish you many new oenological experiences! Les Caves du Louvre Team

I went there twice. The first time was just to visit the place and dona short tasting. But I went back to do the wine creation with a few friends. The workshop was really well organized and very interesting. I learned a lot during this session. It’s great to leave with a bottle of wine that you assembled yourself as per your taste. The whole staff is very friendly and much knowledgeable about wine. The cave itself is beautiful and very well decorated. I would recommand this visit to anyone interested in learning about wine.

Dennis was fantastic. However, putting the wine bottles together was very rushed. They did not tell us we could take our own pictures for the labels. No opportunities for pictures due to small space and rushing everyone through. More instruction should've been given when applying the label. I thought I would have a nice bottle to display but the label did not go on correctly and now it looks terrible.
