The Versailles Day Bike Tour from Paris
USD 105.99
Overview
Experience the magnificence of Versailles on a fun full-day bike tour, including round-trip transfers by train from Paris. Meet your guide on arrival and spend the day pedalling around the beautiful parks, royal gardens and forest trails. Stop to explore Marie Antoinette’s hamlet, snap photos of the grandiose palace from unique viewpoints and enjoy a picnic (own expense) along the Versailles' Grand Canal.
What to Expect
After a short train ride from Paris, your Versailles bike tour starts as you collect the bikes with your guide next to the train station.

Following your guide, ride through the town of Versailles, stopping at the historic food market to buy picnic supplies for lunch (own expense). Then pedal into the royal grounds of the Palace of Versailles, hearing about its history and entertaining anecdotes from your guide. Cruise through the French gardens—some of the most stunning in the world—and make your way to a picnic spot along the Grand Canal, with a view of the palace in the background.

After lunch, visit the rarely seen Queen's hamlet, Marie Antoinette's self-designed village in the forests of Versailles. Your guide then leads you back into town, where you have free time to explore the interior of the palace on your own before returning to Paris on the train.

Highlight of our vacation

Tom was our guide and he was amazing (knowledgeable, friendly, and funny)! Since Versailles is so large, there really is no better way to see it than by bike. Don't be intimidated by the 8 hours. You are not on the bike for long stints...More

Yes, it does. But unless you go on an extremely unusual day (train AND bus strike, 10 feet of snow, admission for only people from NYC named Barbara), you're going to be armpit to nose with tourists from all over the world... More
